Despite having left Shadow Ranch, I find myself embroiled in a frustrating refund process with the HOA. The simplicity of my request seemed straightforward--on September 23, I requested a refund of the overpaid amount, with the check made payable to my husband due to a name change after we purchased the home in 2021. I expected this to be a routine procedure, but I was sorely mistaken. For clarity, I followed up on my initial request with an email on September 29. My phone calls and voicemails were consistently ignored, until at last, I received a response on October 8. My optimism was short-lived, though, as I encountered bureaucratic hurdles demanding I provide a deed showing joint ownership of the property. I complied immediately by sending the deed on the same day. Assurances were abundant; on October 14, I was told that the account name had been updated, with a promise of a check being processed by the end of the week. Yet the saga continues. The conflicting messages from Cristian, implying administrative confusion over basic details like our address and residence community, only added to my frustration. On October 17th, I reached out yet again, met with the same placating assurances that they were "doing their best to expedite the process." Ciara expressed confidence, projecting the delivery of the check for "some point next week," but this vague promise was merely a temporal kick down the road, unsupported by clear reason or accountability measures. The absence of genuine commitment compelled me to escalate the issue to upper management, who were included in the email correspondence but offered nothing more than silence. On October 22nd, I received a message from Ciara declaring that the check was ready for pickup at the Palm Desert office the following day. My husband, adhering to their directive, made the journey only to encounter the predictable disappointment of an unfulfilled promise; no check was available, with the staff indicating it still needed to be printed. Shortly after, a phone call informed him that they had "just received the payment," and that the accounting team needed to approve and issue the check. This begs the question: Why direct us to the office for pickup if no check was ready? The continuing silence from upper management is as deafening as their service is deficient. No apologies have been offered, nor any sign of service recovery. Initially, it was not the answer I was hoping for but in the end that was a simple miscommunication on my part regarding 'which' jacuzzi. AWFUL experiences with DRM/ ASSOCIA. 1.) Lack of communication: Our Community and Board have been IN THE DARK ALL WEEK about the impacts of an ongoing project here at our Condo complex. 2.) NO BIDS!!! DRM fails to call around and try and get ANY bids for big projects, our regular expenses (gutter cleaning as an example), they just go with ONE very high bid and present that to the board. This company suffers from overworked community managers who have very little time to put in the work we ask for/ require as the client. 3.) We might end the relationship with DRM, they cost us more money than they are worth. 4.) Read all the other reviews, especially DRM/s bigger yelp account, 111 reviews 90% negative. Absoluty the worst property management company in the desert. They are bullies from admin to security and have no tact when it comes to talking(CUSTOMER SERVICE)with residents in the community. They try to enforce there HOA rules and regulations by any means neccasary and chose who they are going to go after.(DISCRIMINATION) They will make your community and residents feel like your living in a communist country and the property manager is dictator and rules with an iron fist. read more

Very disappointing when you call the person you want to speak to is never available and never return your phone calls

This company will not allow boards to seek bids that could potentially lower costs and dues that have increased significantly. They don't invest into the properly, they just like to put band-aides on things to keep contractors employed and happy. The contractors they use are the most expensive, which pushes our fees higher than any other properties in the area which exceeds the 3% of the median homes value. That in-turn lowers the value of our investments because it scares away new home buyers simply because our dues are unreasonable and higher than the local average. This company has no idea how real estate investment works and its employees aren't home owners, so they have no incentive or interest to save us money and lower the cost of ownership because it's just a job for their friends to continue to bleed us dry. Security is no concern but using their customers as a ATM is common practice. read more

so...a little background. we have lived in the Bermuda Fairway Villas since 2018. its a great little community and at this time i happen to be the HOA president. it has been my pleasure to now work with ROBIN POOLE who currently is the property manager at this location. she is totally professional, very personable, and actually has a "to do" list that she pays attention to and completes all the things that she promises to do. in a timely fashion i might add. I received a letter from Jennifer Zeivel, Palazzo Association HOA manager dated Jan 21, 2020 with a one inch by inch picture in the corner showing a date of Jan 20, 2020 at 11:15 am showing a small area of crab grass bordering a shared contiguous area with my neighbor. The area of crab grass or tiny weeds encompassed at most a few cubic inches. The letter documented " weeds throughout the front yard" and unilaterally summoned me to a hearing date of Feb 17, 2020. I then received a fine for 185 bucks all within one month of this picture being snapped. Talk about a money grab by this HOA! So sorry, but I have been busy as a physician offering consultation on the corona virus and couldn't make the meeting. I have talked to other members of Palazzo and most people hate this HOA, mostly because of the constant nagging regarding visitors parking. Maybe Desert Resort Management should fix the gate that stays open letting 5 and 6 cars through at a time rather than harassing owners over minor things that can be corrected in a few minutes with Round UP. read more

Desert Resort Management manages the HOA in Las Brisas North in Indio.I moved three months ago and they are still charging me an HOA fee of $79 a month. I called the end of August, 1st of September and talked to someone there and told them then there was a new owner in the house as of the middle August and that they owed me a refund. Whomever I spoke with assured me that they would stop the auto pay and get it handled. I thought I shut it down on my end and somehow they still withdrew money. I will now call my bank. Today I called, October 6, after checking my bank account and saw they withdrew more money! I called and spoke to a woman at Desert Resort Management and she was not very professional or courteous! How would you feel if a company was withdrawing money from your account for three months when they shouldn't be? You need to take some professional lessons on how to answer the phone and be more courteous to the homeowners. I lived in Las Brisas for 15 1/2 years and Desert Resort Management has always had an attitude and never have I ever spoke to anyone that was polite and courteous on the phone. What kind of bookkeeping is it getting double payments from one address and no red flags?? They're terrible! read more
