All new bathrooms, new kitchen, floors, the entire backyard...they really put the home back to its former beauty. The house was stocked with anything you could need, towels and toiletries, plenty of pillows and blankets, even a few snacks. We felt welcome here from our first email contact, the house really feels like a home. All of us slept well and actually really felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay. DON'T FART TOO LOUD!!…read more It was Saturday night of Labor Day weekend, around 9:00 in the evening, and we were a group of 50 year old women having a normal conversation in the pool. We were not loud, and we were not playing any music. The neighbors next door to the right (1966) were the source of the issue. They deliberately came outside to record us, listening in on a private conversation and trying to turn it into something it wasn't. Despite the fact that we were simply talking, we were recorded at the property line, and no sound measurement was ever taken. When we tried to discuss the issue calmly, an employee called the police on us stating "non compliance" and even her own coworker questioned why she did that as it was completely unnecessary. The police were called over a quiet poolside conversation at 9:00 on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend. On top of it all, we were hit with a $500 fine for talking in the pool. What made it worse is that we were never given any warning. No one ever came to us and said keep it down, or asked us to move inside, or gave us any chance to adjust. Even after the neighbor complained, which is what started all of this, they skipped straight to putting us out. No conversation, no courtesy, nothing. They just removed us. That was callous, and it showed they were not interested in resolving anything, only in penalizing us. The whole thing felt less like a real noise issue and more like a setup. It is hard not to wonder whether this is part of how they operate: welcome guests in, watch for any excuse, and hit them with fines to pull in extra money on top of the booking. The speed and eagerness to record us, penalize us, and call the police over nothing left us feeling like the fine was the point all along, not our behavior.

Their small but mighty team is always available, super thorough and solution oriented. Their supply of houses is my favorite in the area for Coachella. It's worth noting that since these are luxury houses owned by individuals and it's over a festival weekend, the community organizations these houses are in can be very strict about guests coming into the neighborhood and home. This is totally outside the control of Royale, though I've found they always do their best to educate me on the particular rules and try to help wherever they can. They also came in clutch last year when the house I booked had a flood and was unrentable. They were able to find an amazing place (from someone who I believe actively didn't rent over Coachella weekends) and saved the day. As long as I'm going to Coachella I'll be working with their team!

We initially worked with Katie, who was very nice and transparent about the company's merger with Luxury Leasing. The initial handoff from Luxury Leasing to Royal Rentals was quite bumpy, but we understood that transitions can be difficult and were happy to give them some grace. Royal Rentals came out to evaluate our property, but afterward we received no follow-up. After several weeks, we finally heard that the home looked great and would be a good fit. From there, I repeatedly had to call to find out what the next steps were and whether they were ready to move forward. Katie apologized for how bumpy the process had been and explained that they were implementing new software as part of the transition. She was very kind and said she would make it up to us and send over the paperwork needed to move forward. That was approximately a month ago, and we still have not received the paperwork or any further communication. It has been almost 3 months since we initially contacted them to help us rent out our property in PGA West. I completely understand that mergers and transitions can create challenges, and we tried to be patient because of that. However, after multiple instances of having to initiate the follow-up ourselves and ultimately receiving no follow-through at all, we no longer feel comfortable moving forward with Royal Rentals. For us, communication and responsiveness are incredibly important when entrusting someone to manage our home and take care of our guests. Unfortunately, if our experience as prospective clients is any indication of the level of communication we could expect going forward, it simply isn't a fit for us.

I believe the venue allows a pick and choose options for the host so we had ATV/Dune Buggy driven by professionals on a sand area in the back, a petting zoo, an area to target shoot with paintball guns, lots of areas just to relax indoor and outdoors overall it was a fun 3 hours (I only was planning to stay 1.5 hours). The food and drink staff maybe was outsourced not sure but the bartenders, alcoholic and non alcoholic stations, food choices were all top notch.... Definitely would love to come here again if I had the chance!
