I tried to post this review on Google, and to respond directly to Bob's before posting a review but…read morethey don't have an easy way to give them feedback. They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. You may have noticed Bob's no longer responds to Yelp reviews. Must be too busy. Or they don't care. Neither one is a good sign.

When you live in the desert, you can't take any chances with your AC or water systems. Both can turn into expensive issues very quickly. During our inspection, Arturo with NRS noticed some corrosion and possible past leak at our water heater connections. Chances are these connections are original to our 2004 condo and since we have neighbors downstairs, we want to avoid any leaks that could result in issues that could affect both units. The NRS Team presented us with an estimate that we were pleased with and we scheduled Arturo for today. Arturo called ahead when he was enroute (we appreciate that) and was onsite in no time. Arturo took the time to explain what he would be doing to eliminate a possible issue and make our system more secure. Changing out the old hoses (over 20 years old) and connections to solid copper piping and new connections gives us the peace of mind that you need with plumbing. He also configured it so should we need to replace the hot water heater, the new copper fittings will be easy to disconnect & reconnect. Arturo did an amazing job, kept us informed as he worked and the work area was spotless when he was finished. A true gentleman & professional. Many THANKS to Arturo and the NRS Team for spotting a potential plumbing issue and providing a great solution. That's what every homeowner expects. Predatory pricing practices and upselling. I asked the…read moretechnician if he would give me a quote to install an APCOX as I am a cancer survivor and immunocompromised. We also lost our furniture due to last home making my whole family sick from mold in the HVAc due to leaks. I know the APCOX pricing wholesale, the model I looked at is approx $ 900 dollars. I know the company needs to mark up to install and make a living but the quote I got was way beyond the normal mark up and upselling. The tech quoted that me I needed a duct clean on a 2 year old home, and put a quote for an April Aire that I did not ask for nor discuss into the quote in addition to the APCO X. The quote was an eye popping $11,000 dollars! Not only is this insulting to my intelligence but when I called the company they didn't care.

They replied quickly and we agreed on a time. They specifically said the time worked and they would be here. Then, without any other explanation, they simply said they were booked and couldn't make it. Nothing other than that: no message apologizing, no message saying they're prioritizing rescheduling as soon as possible, nothing. I waited to post this 9+ hours after their last message to see what the owner said, but I've gotten nothing in reply. So while I should at least get an apology, I'm not surprised to see zero accountability. If they can't simply apologize, I'm not sure how they think they can be trusted to do any actual work.

As a result, the system was not performing properly. There was a leak in refrigerant, was short cycling and wound internally shut off, and was not configured properly for zoned system. The existing system was installed when we purchased this house new in 2018 but was contractor grade. Ryan provided a couple of solutions but decided to replace. Very good price for a better quality system. The install techs, Roger and Dom, completed the install today. Very professional and went extra to be sure zone system was functioning properly. Definitely made the right choice.

Moving forward, my A/C needed repair as it was not working at all. They came out during regular business hours the next day and although it took Matt a few hours to diagnose the problem, I appreciated the thoroughness. He fixed the problem, a burned out contactor. The part was covered under the factory warranty. It took him approximately 40 min to replace the part. After the service was complete, the labor charge was $250/hour X 2 hours of labor. After some negotiation, they reduced it to one hour, however, from my research the usual and customary labor fee in Las Vegas is $75-150/hour. I was going to sign up for their biannual plan for cleaning and maintenance of HVAC but , heaven forbid they find something wrong, I can't afford the labor that would go along with the repair! I feel that while Alpha Air is a good company, their labor fees are extraordinarily high. I hope to find a more reasonable company for future use.

And it was a TOUGH one…read more Not only was it 120 degrees outside, and much hotter in the attic, they had to pull in and out the new and old air handler through a small access panel, all while it was over 130 degrees in the attic. The team had some obstacles I suspect they didn't realize at time of quote. Ranier, Carlos, Kyle, Luis, and a few other guys on the team managed the heat and the install in one day. I can't say enough good about Super Service; they did our inspection when we were buying the home and we've stuck with them ever since. They stayed until the work was complete, where two other companies told us they would have to quit work by 6:30. These guys stayed not only til the job was done, but until they could verify our house (92 degrees inside) was cooling down so we could sleep here the night they finished. Uber-professional, courteous, respectful, and cheerful, this crew is as good as I've seen. Makes me chuckle a little that my neighbor lost his AC the same night I did, and they went with another company. He's on day 3 of his replacement. All days where the ambient was at least 111 degrees.

He was courteous and timely with communication during the initial bid and follow-up contact. Following a few other consultations from other companies, Super Service was willing to best meet my needs on price and timely scheduling of the installation; beating other competitors. This was important to me given the current heat wave. Installation Tech Kyle was on time the following day and incredibly polite and communicative during the multi-hour install window. He double & triple checked that the installation was successful, was mindful of my dog and when in my upstairs rooms to access the attic, and ensured all my questions were answered before leaving. No doubt that Super Service will be top of mind should I have HVAC/Plumbing needs in the future thanks to the professionalism & solid work by Ranier & Kyle.

He took photos of everything he serviced, offered to have me tag along so I can understand the processes he was completing & thoroughly answered any/every question I had. His findings were similar to the other two companies I received two quotes from... a new a/c system is need (oy...). The difference was, he was very thorough in explaining why he felt the replacement was needed & showed concrete facts of why. Even emailed me a copy of his photos/videos and notes so I could show my husband when he got home. Jamal completed his professional service, made sure all my questions were answered and scheduled for me to talk to a manager abut options and pricing. I was hesitant to move forward, but the replacement was inevitable. I could have rode it out until the unit was on its last string, but this is Vegas. I wanted to be preventative. Plus, 3 neighbors' units crapped out within the month. I didn't want to be the 4th in the height of a hot summer. Queue in Larry. He was beyond professional. Personable even. I was ready for the upselling and pushiness, but the experience never came. He went over Jamal's findings with me once more. Explained his recommendations for new units & even suggested an extra vent install for better performance. The kicker? He didn't deviate from his initial guesstimated price as he continued to include various extras that would help us put our best foot forward. Who does that? Bumble Breeze apparently lol. After everything was said & done, I told him I wanted to talk it over with my husband & make sure we can afford the financing. No pressure or pushiness on his end. We even agreed on a date of no contact if he never heard from me to ease the indecisiveness. He followed up with me & offered an additional incentive where I couldn't say no. BumbleBreeze with the install, maintenance/extended warranties & extra razzle dazzle of free dryer vent cleaning and sanitization ended up being almost $10k cheaper than my other two quotes!! No brainer. We came up with a comfortable number, finance plan/budget and the appt for install happened in no time. Jesus & Curtis came in and completed the install. Just like Jamal and Larry, both gentlemen were courteous, professional & friendly. They were mindful of my home and their mess during the whole process. They kept me in the loop as the process went on too. They gave me a tour of the finished product & explained filters and my new thermostat. Curtis made sure any of my questions were answered and explained how beneficial the new unit will be overall before they left. They explained a tech will be in contact complete the process with a duct sanitization and cleaning as well as the promised free dryer vent cleaning. Devin came a couple days later to finish the job. Just like all the rest, he was professional, courteous and friendly. He completed the vent cleaning & sanitization process. He took before & after photos/videos that I got emailed a copy of for my records. He made sure the team prior was thorough with the initial tune-up, inspection and install. He even took a photo of the filter recommendation sticker on the unit while he was in the attic to make sure I had all the info I needed. He explained the duct maintenance schedule and went on his way. As a home owner, dreaded big purchases like a new a/c unit in Vegas is traumatizing sometimes. However, Bumble Breeze made this experience as positive as it could be. I see the reviews and posts about post-install trauma and maintenance. I'll definitely update my review if I experience anything negatory like that. However, from this current experience, I'm confident with my experience moving forward. Thanks so much!!

Gilbert and his teammate arrived right on time and kept us updated from when they were en route to when they arrived. They were professional, respectful, and detail-oriented throughout the entire process--wearing shoe covers, being mindful of our neighbors while setting up their equipment, and walking us through each step so we always knew what to expect. By the end, every duct in our home--including the dryer vent--was thoroughly cleaned. And the results? Immediate and noticeable. It's been just over a week, and my indoor allergies are completely gone. Before the cleaning, I was waking up multiple times a night going through boxes of tissues. There are plenty of choices available when it comes to heating/air conditioning repair. As a consumer who knows nothing about the cost of repairs and replacement parts for these units, it is hoped that company does not price gouge and/or over charge their customers. It really gets down to who the technician is that is sent out that day. There have been technicians from other companies in my home that treat my house probably as they treat their own home which means they have no concern of the mess they leave behind, and I hate the feeling that I have been overcharged. I had Desert West to my home on Nov. 25th and 26th for a furnace that was not working. My tech was Damian S. There are not enough adjectives available to describe the things I can say about him and about the service that he did on my furnace. He was professional, personable, knowledgeable, kind and all around EXCELLENT. He treated my home with respect and made me feel confident that I was not getting overcharged for the work that needed to be done. Damian did not just go the extra mile, he went the extra 10 miles and I am so very lucky to have had him sent to my home!!!!!!! I honestly don't even know what to say. I woke up on a Saturday morning to a house warmer than usual. I contacted DWS and they responded within minutes. They were able to send a tech (Damian) out within a couple hours. Damian called to let me know he was ahead of schedule if it was good to stop by to diagnose. He arrived polite, professional and knowledgeable. He checked both units and explained everything he was doing step by step. He ended up replacing a capacitor in one unit. Price was very reasonable and service was outstanding! I had a cool house within a few hours and was completely happy. I highly recommend DWS for any and all of your HVAC needs. We had Kyle come out and give us a quote on having our coils replaced in both A/C units as one was leaking into daughters room. Kyle showed up the same day we called and gave us a quote that beat the other company that came out the day before. When Kyle inspected the coils he made us aware that we had the Aspen Coils that were currently in a Class Act Lawsuit for homes in Las Vegas. This was new information that we did not receive from the other A/C company that came out and gave us a quote a day before. The honesty and fast response from Kyle and his team was really reassuring that he was looking out for me & my little family and on our side. Our upstairs a/c quit last night. We called Desert West on a referral from my husband's colleague. The woman we spoke to to schedule was very nice and they had availability to come out the same day, providing a 2 hour window. They called about 30 minutes earlier and said they'd be here in 15 minutes if that was convenient. The two gentlemen were professional in both manner and appearance and quickly diagnosed the problem, a blown fuse. At no time did they try to sell us anything we didn't need or try to talk us into any kind of membership, which was refreshing. DWS installed our new A/C last year. A year later, the A/C was not running right. Called DWS and Tony came right away and found motor problem. He ordered a new motor from the warehouse and waited 1 1/2 hours and found that they delivered a wrong one. Since it's Friday afternoon and we expecting a hot weekend, he arranged to get an old motor put in to get through the weekend. On Tuesday, Kyle came with a new motor and replaced it and made sure everything was working right. No Charge. We had DWS come out last year for a heater issue. We called late in the evening, and Pat came out. Very courteous and professional. His wife even drove the part he needed (for our VERY old unit) to our house, and he finished quite late. We were so thankful that he worked on it into the night. It was cold! I texted their number at about 6am, by 7:30am I was able to secure an appointment for 12pm. The tech showed up right on time and was very friendly. He fixed the unit and was done in under an hour. Had the part in his truck! Same day service, nice people, got the unit running again in less than an hour and cost $225. (blown capacitor) I will use them again!!! I had problems with the new unit within a few days of the installation, and their technicians had to come over three different times within a week to get it running correctly. That made me suspicious of how well the furnace was installed, so I decided to have VKD, a highly rated HVAC installer, come to check it out. Jessica, the owner's empathetic wife who does the scheduling, set up an appointment for the next week. With pictures and a video Aaron took while examining the unit in the attic, he explained to me why the new system was not only installed and secured improperly, but where many of the connections were not even up to code. He even showed where there are a number of leaks. He told me that there were enough violations that I might want to file a lawsuit against the installers. I contacted the installer about this and they set up an appointment to reinstall the next day, only with a different, more experienced technician. Having read all the reviews of Vegas Knight & Day, and now having experienced the expertise of one of their technicians, I wish I would have known a month ago about this company. I would have gone with VKD when I decided to replace my system.

I accepted and Rob was at my house within that time frame. He was knowledgeable and polite. He answered my questions and completed my service in a timely manner. I scheduled for the next morning since I had to work at night and could not be present when they wanted to arrive. I took the 8am appointment and the tech showed up shortly after they confirmed my morning appointment. The tech was really quick at diagnosing the issue on my old AC unit. My experience with all the big name companies in Vegas is that they don't want to fix your unit they only want to replace and run you up a $12-15k bill. This is so peaking from personal experience. The Controlled Comfort tech fixed our issue quickly and the temp in my home dropped from 83° to 75° in less than an hour. What i appreciate about this company is the honesty and integrity they displayed through the whole process. They did not try and upsell me, unlike other companies. They fixed my unit and did give me my options if I needed a new AC in the future. Ranee was our tech and did a great job, he was friendly and so was the office person who scheduled the appointment. Thank you!!! Controlled Comfort for saving my summer. When I need a new unit I will definitely be calling you. They're once again helping to deal with an ongoing issue with the tenant not following maintenance instructions such as ensuring filter are replaced. She was told 2 years ago the filters needed to be replaced and here we are again and she is being told filters needed to be replaced. Additionally, the thermostats are set to 62 degrees which she was advised was too low and could blow out the unit. Unfortunately, here we are again dealing with issues with the AC. He came over on time as stated, looked, found and fixed the problem. I didn't get charged an arm, leg and the title to my truck. He's very reasonable for the work performed and didn't try to upsell me on something the unit didn't need.
