I called controlled comfort to schedule maintenance on my AC unit. Since I purchased the unit from them I figured I would be a returning customer. They scheduled me between 8am-12pm on a Friday but wasn't provided a quote or anything not even a text confirmation or email (I didn't think anything of it). Friday comes and no one shows up, calls, or texts. I waited til 1:45pm but still no call, no show. When I called to see what happened, Brian said you weren't placed on the board which is pretty frustrating since I originally paid $11k to have my AC unit installed by them. No discount or nothing. Just offered another half a day window to wait around again for someone maybe show up. *****UPDATE*****. A Short time after this post, Sue from Controlled Comfort reached out and sincerely apologized. She offered a free service for the inconvenience and a technician to be at my house in 30 mins. I accepted and Rob was at my house within that time frame. He was knowledgeable and polite. He answered my questions and completed my service in a timely manner. I was having issues with my AC unit not cooling off my 1st floor of my home. I called fir service and they were willing to come the same day. I scheduled for the next morning since I had to work at night and could not be present when they wanted to arrive. I took the 8am appointment and the tech showed up shortly after they confirmed my morning appointment. The tech was really quick at diagnosing the issue on my old AC unit. My experience with all the big name companies in Vegas is that they don't want to fix your unit they only want to replace and run you up a $12-15k bill. This is so peaking from personal experience. The Controlled Comfort tech fixed our issue quickly and the temp in my home dropped from 83° to 75° in less than an hour. What i appreciate about this company is the honesty and integrity they displayed through the whole process. They did not try and upsell me, unlike other companies. They fixed my unit and did give me my options if I needed a new AC in the future. Ranee was our tech and did a great job, he was friendly and so was the office person who scheduled the appointment. Our AC broke in July 2022 and we agreed to replace the unit. At that time, we asked if we should replace our attic coil as well as the outside unit. We were told no, that the upstairs coil was fine. A week later, no cold air was blowing. We had a second technician visit who told us that there was an issue with a part that connects the attic coil to the outside unit. He removed some Freon and told us the office would be in touch with us with more information within 24 hours. Two more technicians visited after we called to follow up about a week later. One of them broke our smart thermostat, talked down to me, and eventually yelled at me in my own home. We were both heated, so I told him to leave. He went outside where he proceeded to use derogatory vulgar language about me, and his partner said they should just leave our unit broken. I have video. Follow that event, there was another tech sent. He said there wasn't Freon, replaced some, and left. Another tech a few weeks later (no cool air again) insisted that our unit had too much Freon. This went on for months, until winter. Finally, we turned our AC on in April of 2023 and once again, no cold air. They sent David who finally replaced our thermostat and actually went to the attic to look and immediately diagnosed the problem. We needed a new coil up there. Just like we thought back in July. He told us someone from the office would call us with an estimate within 2 hours. I called later that day and was told that Bri was waiting on calls back about the part we needed, but she'd get back to me the next day. I followed up a week later, and asked for my estimate. I was told that the technician would bring them on Tuesday 4/27/2023. That day is a Thursday. I took Tuesday off work, waited, and then nothing. I guess i should have checked, so I laughed it off and tried to move on. When the David arrived on Thursday, he told me they needed some information about the part before I would have an estimate. But I'd have one in 1/2 an hour. So I waited. Followed up later that day, more than once. Bri told me I would be getting an estimate from her Manager THAT night. I got nothing until I followed up again the next day. The warranty was definitely not worth it. Go anywhere else. We called Discount Air Conditioning and Heating. They came out Saturday night and had our unit up and running by Sunday at 11:30am. I can't recommend that company enough. The one star here is for David, since he's the only one at Controlled Comfort who seems to care about the quality of his work. Five stars for David, zero for controlled comfort. read more

Our AC went out at the worst time of the year in July with temperatures over 110 degrees. Controlled Comfort came out and gave us a thorough and fair quote and helped us in every step of this process which can be quite a lot to handle in the hottest part of the year. They even offered us portable AC units to keep our house cooler while we waited for the team to come. The whole team at Controlled Comfort was amazing. From Ralph, the General Manager, Nefre, the Office Manager, Ryan and the crew that came out to remove our unit and give us a new furnace and air conditioner. The crew came on just a couple days notice and were amazing. They were so thorough and worked so efficiently that we were sweating in the morning and feeling cool by dinner time. They even scheduled the inspection for us and it was done and certified. Our new unit is way more energy efficient, quieter and performs so much better. There are no more hot spots in our home, our home's temperature is within a degree everywhere. It was never like that previously. Our house is cool and comfortable and it is warrantied as well. You can buy cooling from a lot of places, but Controlled Comfort gave us piece of mind as well and that is priceless. We could not be happier or cooler!! I've started this review, but won't finish until the job is complete. We were assigned their company from our home warranty company, (American Home Shield, which in itself is a whole different review if you want to speak with someone. Unless you have time to blow) The representative I spoke with at Controlled Comfort, was cordial, but had a hard time finding our call, which they should have received on the 13th. That could be another AHS problem. We've been assigned a call between 9:00 AM and 1 PM on Sunday, (It's currently 104 degrees on Friday.) I have already paid my non-refundable $100.00 fee or I would call someone else immediately...but fortunately we have a secondary cooling source and pool. I'll let everyone know the resolution. I do have a morning slot reserved for you. 9:05 AM the technician diagnosed the air conditioning unit, 10:10 AM. Paid him for a job well done. So that's what's excellent service is. After talking to the owner at midnight. I decided to update my review from my one star review. Technician came to the house. Without checking anything and he said I need a complete new system. After asking why, he said that my AC was a cheap ac, that the dog urine corroded my coils, and that my compressor is failing. He saw some urine stains near the coils but where not corroded. He did not even remove and inspected my unit completely. I declined a new unit and I said to him if there is a temporary fix. He looked frustrated like if he is doing a job for free. Once completed, he replaced 2 capacitors for 180 dollars under 5 minutes. He did not check if the ac was working until I asked him if he can double check it. He checked the living room and kitchen vent that was at 65 degrees. He collected payment. I knew it was suspicious from the beginning. At work, their administration called me about them trying to collect payment. I have already payed so why are they trying to collect payment. I even got a receipt. I told them I was at work and they need to call back later. They said that they will call to collect payment later. As a business, you can at least ask some questions rather being pushy and asking for payment. I told them I payed and they demanded a receipt from me. I emailed them. They did not even apologized or nothing. Errors happen all the time, you could at least approached me in a different wAy. I later got two second opinions. The 1st One was a lyer. Saying that I need to replace two capacitors after Controlled Comfort replaced them 2 weeks ago. That company did not mentioned that my compressor was going out and that the dog urine stains were not too bad to replace them. The 2nd one just mentioned me that I need to replace some wiring from my thermostat. Again they did not advise me on a new unit. Too me that's 2 companies, said to me that my ac was ok, and controlled comfort was saying I need a new one seemed very dishonest. I felt I dodged a bullet. I wrote a one store review due how evil and dishonest I thought of them. The owner called me at work and I told him to call me at 11pm after I got off. He did and we chatted for over an 1hr. He apologized for his administration and the technician. He said the administration could have approached me better due to the error, that the technician should have done a thorough inspection. But he stood behind that what the technician said that i need to replace the unit due to what the technician reported. He offered to do a free inspection in my house but there is no way that is going to happen. Tensions are high and them coming to my house will create issues. As a customer all I can do is put him on a average score due to burdens the company has put me through. I don't think they can fix the issue, what is done it's done. read more

Called controlled comfort to give me an estimate to fix my air conditioning and after they came out they called a few days later to let me know that they could get my ac fixed for a few hundred dollars so I gave them the ok to get it done and to please put me on the schedule! Professional. Trustworthy. Honest technicians. My heat wouldn't start. I called another company out to look at it prior to calling Controlled Comfort. They had told me my furnace board would not connect due to my unit is old and that they can't replace the board because it's been discontinued. The tech said I would have to purchase a new unit and gave me quotes for new system. Then I called Controlled Comfort for a second opinion. They sent out "Kyle." The best! He got my heater up and running in less than 20 minutes. He said my thermostat was broken, replaced with a new thermostat, clicked heat on and it immediately started up. The other company just wanted to sell us a new system instead of fixing it, and it was such and easy fix too though, if I hadn't called Controlled comfort for a second opinion, it would've of cost me thousands with the other company. As I spoke to Monica, she suggested it might just be dead batteries that I could change myself. I couldn't get the cover off myself so I went ahead with having them come out. She was right. He was able to find the problem. It's been fixed. So now the unit is finally fixed. We'll be keeping a close eye on both air and heat for the next few weeks. Hopefully all goes well. But I warn ya though, if things dont stay fixed and do go wrong, you'll hear me in my best Arnold, "I'll be bock." Our son Erik lives in a second home we bought about 9 years ago for my mom and him to live in. He called me yesterday about a loud clattering noise coming from his air-conditioning unit. I called Controlled Comfort about the problem and Kyle arrived around 3:45 as scheduled. They had tuned up the unit about 10 months ago. I expected to face needing an entire unit. I realized my upstairs ac unit was not cooling properly and wanted to take care of it promptly. We contacted this company and they were able to arrive within only a couple hours after setting an appt. same day which was great. They came in and fixed the problem pretty quickly. The price seemed to be pretty fair although I'm not to familiar with ac repair pricing but I didn't feel taken advantage of which is wht really matters most in my opinion. Didn't offer me unnecessary repairs like other ac companies have in the past. Needless to say everything seems to be operating as normal. Will def be a returning customer for maintenance and any further repairs that present themselves. I'd also like to add that I always read the negative reviews only because I like to observe how a company responds. It really says a lot about customer service and professionalism. The reviews are true! This place is amazing. They are superheroes and saved the day! We have a business with 15 units, and when one goes down it's a recipe for disaster since we have a lot of expensive temperature sensitive equipment. I had another company servicing our units that just started to fall short, they'd make us wait a week, they never showed up on time, the list goes on. I called Controlled Comfort basically for a second opinion based on their reviews and I am pleased! The lead tech/owner came out and he was honest, answered any questions, and even while he repaired one unit, he notice a preventative repair that needed to be done on another. A+ for attention to detail. He didn't seem like he was just trying to give us a big bill, and the repairs ended up being quiet cost effective. I will ONLY be calling this company in the future. I experienced a 10 day nightmare with American Home Shield caused by their failure to authorize repair of my Carrier AC. They dispatched two unimpressive HVAC companies and AHS failed to authorize the repair. I was in desperation with having my elderly grandmother be without AC so I called my RE Agent, Lisa Schmidt, Simply Vegas, who immediately called AHS. Within 15 minutes of my call to Ms. Schmidt, Amy from Controlled Comfort called to schedule my service. The next day Kyle and Ronee showed up on time and were compassionate, professional and quality technicians. Kyle was an effective communicator and informed me of the next steps. About a month ago Controlled Comfort came out to service a request I placed through my home warranty. What I thought would be a simple problem turned into a complete nightmare. My copper lines had a leak, and after several return visits to rule out more simple solutions, I was told this job was going to be huge. Turned out I needed to have drywall cut out in order to make the repair, and then fixed. Also, the original lines were run incorrectly, so they made the necessary adjustments during their repair. Bottom line, I appreciated the professionalism, experience, skill, and excellent customer service from Controlled Comfort. They took their time, tried to find less costly solutions, and provided me with excellent advice. Furthermore, they thoroughly explained ever step of the process and dealt with my fear and anxiety. Not impressed with this company. They failed to show up for 2 consecutive appointments in August when our air conditioner was not operating. This was after a July service appointment where they fixed the unit (note that it is broken again a month later) and the tech tried to get us to pay him under the table for coolant. They failed to answer their phone after missing the second appointment and their voicemail box was full. I understand that it is summer and they are busy but it doesn't seem like this company is organized in a way to provide customer service when they miss their appointment times to people suffering with no AC. read more

Unfortunately I had to give one star in order to write a review, but actually I would give zero stars. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare! My mom is 81 years old and her Air conditioner is not working. Due to her age and having temperatures well above 100, she is supposed to be considered a medical emergency. She sits six weeks out and two compressors later, and she still has no air. We have multiple other complaints, but my rant would be much too long to list them.
