Pros: The shops air was fresh, barely any polish smell (a big deal to me). The manager, a man my age, was nice, observant, and helpful. Cons: The girl girl doing my nails pretended my feet smelled. Impossible. They had prior to my entry been pampered and surely their lotion if anything smelled of flowers. Clearly she was inconsiderately manipulating me in an unprofessional and unimaginable way. This was my first time here but I'll definitely be back! Even though they were busy my friend and I didn't have to wait at all. I do think the application of my Mani polish could have been better, but she did it at the pedi chair instead of the Mani table since I just had neck surgery. The chairs are comfy and the staff very nice. To the point where when I asked for a lotus flower on my toes my pedicurist found another woman who was willing to try, and it turned out so wonderful!! There is a hustle and bustle atmosphere because they are serving everyone as best and as fast as they can to keep up with their customers. Very small, cramped place. Very dirty. Looked like there had been no dusting or cleaning for quite some time! No paper towels by the sink where they ask you to wash you hands, only rags (who knows how clean those were!). The technician that did my nails did a decent job but did not wear gloves! How clean were her hands?! Didn't like moving from station to station through the process of dipping powder! Felt like cattle! Won't return. Was surprised by the reviews. But I was in town handling a traffic ticket so I figured I'd treat myself,...Now I typically go to signature nails in lakewood which is rated #1 in Colorado, and these guys do as good of a job as them! I have been to nail salons all over the us and this is by far our favorite. You can always count on a great manicure and/or pedicure. It is very very clean, they have fantastic massage pedicure chairs, and I have never had anyone be anything but super friendly and nice. Their selection of colors is extensive, and they offer all of the latest techniques. Lastly they are extremely competitive in price. I have been going here for a couple years now. I really appreciate how you don't feel judged for what you ask for and the nail techs listen to what you want. I ask for Mary every time; she is very detail oriented, is friendly and kind, and does a great job. Kyle, the owner, does a great job making sure you are happy. I have been looking for a really good nail salon since I moved here from FL two years ago. And I'm so excited to have finally found it. I am kind of picky about my nails. This may sound weird but I start getting depressed if they are not done or if they start chipping because they were not done right. My sister used to say that you don't trust a girl with chipped nail polish (LOL). Another thing that bothers me is when the technician doesn't clean up the polish around the cuticles because it looks like a disaster when they start to grow out. I came here with a girlfriend of mine and they were so busy. But she had made an appointment (praise Jesus!) so we didn't have to wait. My nail tech was Phillip. He was super sweet (first plus). Then he had to get the horrible prior shellac off of my nails and was so gentle and calm in doing so (I felt so bad because they were ridiculous). He did all of the basic manicure stuff but he won me over when he cleaned up the polish around the cuticle. Eeeeek. I about fainted. I'm so excited to have found them and Phillip. Yay!!! read more

This place was a disappointment. My nail tech was okay but because they were so busy they passed me off to multiple people and finally the man who appeared to be in charge. One would think the person in charge finishing the shellac manicure would have had better service techniques but he was so busy watching everything else going on when he pulled my tech to go do someone else's nails he started doing the hand massage he lathered lotion up all over my watch and watch band getting lotion stuck in the crevices... didn't even notice. Suddenly got up and walked away.. doesn't tell me a price or whether I'm done. So I eventually walk up to the counter and the guy asks me how much my services were.. So I am a new mom and was looking forward to getting out of the house and pampering myself - something I didn't even do before I became a mom. Boy, was I disappointed. This place is far from "designer". Upon walking in, the place is jam packed with seats upon seats. The ambiance is more of "let's make as much money as possible by seating as many people as we can" more than treating its customers to a relaxing, pampering experience. It's so crowded that I found myself having to scoot and tip-toe around people to get to my seat & look and pick a nail polish color. The massage chairs were very old. The images on the buttons of the remote were rubbed off and pealing. Many of the buttons didn't even work. I couldn't even feel the massage against my back. I even tried to press my back way in to the seat and I barely felt anything only a slight vibration. Now a huge plus is that they place a fitted plastic bag around the basin. If only the water I put my feet in was actually warm. It was cold! Even after I asked that the water be warmed up, at best it was room temperature. And when the pedicurist was rinsing the lotion off of my legs, water ended up under my thighs on the seat. Gross!! Keeping in mind that I'm a new mom and haven't had more than 1-2 hours of sleep at a time for weeks at this point, I didn't notice any of the following until I was home. The pedicurist trimmer my big toes two different sizes. The edges of my pinky toes are sharp because he did not file them down. My cuticles are not cut/pushed back evenly. And my nails started chipping less than a week after. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I got super bad experience with Designer Nails, first time they did my nails very well with dip powder to make my original nails stronger, second time same thing except I asked to do it thin not thick ( my bad ), the lady was nice she did what I asked for, 3 days later I got one broken and I went back to fix it ( I wasn't complaining I even told them it's my mistake I asked for the thin nails and I really liked the place I even bought a $55 gift card form them to my friend while I am fixing my nail) it was Mother's Day and super busy, they said it's too thin for that long you have 2 options : cut it short or make it thicker but we have to fix the broken one first, I said no problem, they set me with another lady who did the broken nail super fast with huge bubble in it and she said you are all set I told her I can see hole in the nail and I was showing her, she got upset and start talking to the manager or the owner in another language and left, he said what's wrong I will fix it myself I showed him he said there is nothing too and if there is a bubble the powder will not stick to my nail and seemed uptight too and told me I will do what you want and start to file my original nail from down with the machine till there was no nail from down side and told me their you are all set !!!!!! He didn't touch the hole in the thick layer as you can see in the photos but instead he removed my original nail super fast , finally I got it they are super busy they seemed uptight and I should just leave, I left without them making the rest thicker because I was complaining about that bubble in the nail they just fixed and as a result of that I got 2 more broken from where its attach with the flesh and as you see in the photos bleeding and unbelievable pain. read more

This is a busy shop! They were gracious and although they were packed got me in and out. The mani was amazing and lasted longer than any other I've had in the recent past. Pedi was great too. Longmont is now in my normal driving route so this is going to be a regular stop. If you can schedule an appointment I would try that but if you can't and are willing to wait for an opening it will be well worth it. read more

I've been going to this salon a few times a year for the last 6 years. I noticed the negative reviews from the last few months and was curious about it. I actually got a pedicure yesterday and when I got home I realized my French Manicure lines weren't straight. I went back first thing this morning and they took great care of me. Instead of only repainting, the owner himself, redid the whole Deluxe Pedicure. The story is that it is under new management. Tom is the old owner. He was great for talking and telling stories before while you had your nails done. Kyle is the new owner. We talked about the business and how it's been going etc... Sounds like it was a bit of a challenge to change hands (as in any business) he had to find new nail technicians, new products etc... But seems like all of that has been taken care of now. So give it a try again. Seems like they were just going through some growing pains. The new owner Kyle is very big on customer service so if you see anything you aren't happy with just let him know. I did and he went out of his way to make it right and my pedicure came out awesome. read more

I give them three stars because their customer service is extremely friendly and prompt. However, their quality of work is very inconsistent. I went in for acrylic nails for a special event, and the technician was pretty aggressive and actually clipped my skin a couple of times, causing some bleeding. I asked her to do a very simple design on two and she struggled with that and then I got charged $10 instead of five dollars for those designs. I went in for a gel manicure and they didn't remove all the nail polish from previously so you could see it around my nail beds on my big toes. Then the nail chipped on two toes a week later. I have two girlfriends that go there regularly, and they do an uneven job on their gel nails consistently. Nice people, but very inconsistent quality. read more

Well all I can say is that I hope their new location comes with new staff. I was extremely disappointed! I went in for a quick manicure - just a shellac, no tips or anything. It's pretty basic, just a standard manicure with a quick-dry option more or less. First, I had to scrub at the sink for a few minutes to get all of the nail polish the tech worked under my fingernails while half-heartedly cleaning off the old polish. He was incredibly unfriendly, all attempts at polite conversation were rebuffed and not because of any language barrier - he was just really more interested in when his next smoke break would be. Super-pleasant to have a freshly-smoke-covered tech come in to finish the job, let me tell you. Then there was the shellac itself; it was only okay. He didn't get the color even, and missed parts of my nails, but it was acceptable. They do include a wax bath with manicures, but the tech left most of the wax on my hands - seriously it felt like he couldn't wait for me to leave. All in all, unfriendly and kind of dirty too - not a good impression at all. I do wish them luck at the new place, maybe I caught them on a bad day (though other reviews tell me not) and they'll be better later - I probably won't try to find out. read more
