Went to Dessert Cafe 365 after Korean BBQ on a Saturday night, and the place was packed! Even with the crowd, the staff was friendly and doing their best to get everyone's orders out as quickly as possible. It's also a cute little date night place too! This was my first time trying Bingsoo here, and we got the Yakult flavor. Oh my goodness -- it was absolutely delicious! It wasn't overly sweet, and the shaved ice was so light, fluffy, and refreshing. I loved every bite! The small size was the perfect portion for two people to share, which is exactly what we did. The toppings -- strawberries, cereal, vanilla ice cream, and condensed milk -- all paired so well together and added the perfect balance of flavors and textures. Cute dessert shop and cafe, they serve smoothies, boba, bingsoo, coffee, juices. They also have a variety of bakery items, but its quite expensive. A piece of pie may be $9 or a cupcake $7. A smoothie was $7.50. They also have ramen which costs $5, its instant ramen that you could buy at the store, but you can eat it there with a bowl and hot water they provide. Service is good, the woman who is there - possibly the owner is nice. The space is open and a good place to work or meet with friends. read more

I have been here a few times but it's just now that I realized that they're being Sue has so much more flavors other than Fruity ones. I ordered the like chocolate banana bathing suit and it was super delicious. I'm not into the strawberries or the mangoes so I was so happy to discover that they had the chocolate banana flavor. They also did have the Oreo flavored things too but the lady recommended the chocolate banana cuz the Oreo is more of an artificial or more simple flavor according to her. Service was great she knew what she was talking about and she was able to recommend something. The place is nice. It's actually a good place to hang out because they are also open late and they do have rooms that they can rent out for like $15 an hour plus the food that you order. Came here with my cousins on a Saturday night after dinner. Cute little spot. The name changed, so they might have changed owners. There's private rooms available if needed, for a fee. On the side, there's a "mini" ramen bar. Kinda cool. There's many different pastries available that looked good. We came for the bingsoo and got a big one to share. We were all pretty full from dinner, but between the 5 of us, we somehow managed to finish it. Will have to come back to try some of the other items on the menu and pastries! read more

Bulgogi panini was very delicious and came with a drizzle of sriracha mayo. Very mild, not very spicy at all, and adds an interesting touch for the tongue! Service was nice and quick! I really wished I liked this cafe bingsoo but it was not as great as coffee Haus or other Korean bakery spots. Great serviice! Yummy treats and long hours make it a wonderful choice when you want a treat at an odd hour.

My wife and I have been coming back for the bingsoo almost every week during the summer now. For two people at $11 a cup, the bingsoo is probably the item most worth the price in my opinion. I wouldn't order the bowl unless you have 4 people or people who can eat a lot of sweets. They all come with the named ingredient and either marshmallows or cereal bits (or both), and an ice cream and condensed milk on top. We've tried all the flavors, and they all taste great, but this is how I would rank them by preference: 1.) Yakult - For those who like yakult, this is probably the best tasting flavor because the yakult simply works well in bingsoo form, and the marshmallows that aren't as tasty on other ones compliment this particular one. 2.) Green tea - This was the first one we ever tried, and the memory still holds up higher than all the recent ones we've tried because we love matcha. 3.) Strawberry - This one is heavy on artificial strawberry flavor in syrup and jelly balls, but I think they all pair well with each other and the real strawberries. 4.) Oreo - I don't really like oreos, but removing them, the bingsoo itself is a vanilla base with condensed milk, chocolate powder, and vanilla ice cream on top. The condensed milk makes a big difference, but at the bottom, once all the top ingredients are gone, there is a surprise red bean layer that gives the remaining ice a nice change in taste! 5.) Choco Banana - I like chocolate, and the banana makes a nice pairing with with the chocolate flavor. 6.) Coffee - The coffee flavor is really strong, but it's a nice change of pace from all the sweeter ones on the list. If you want one that's not too sweet, this is a good option. 7.) Red Bean - If you like traditional bingsoo, this is pretty much the most standard one. There is a lot of red bean though, so for me, it's a little unbalanced. 8.) Mango - This one is similar to the strawberry one, but I think the artificial mango syrup and jelly balls contrast too much from the real mangos. 9.) Ube - This is the only one I wouldn't recommend unless you've already tasted all the others. It doesn't actually have chunks of real ube in it, and the ube juice is really purple and stains one's teeth. It's kind of messy and the flavor is not as good as the others. read more

The drinks here need improvement. I came here looking to enjoy some boba and a nice study spot. I got a mango smoothie and a milk tea with boba. The mango smoothie was decent. However, the milk tea did not taste good. It was extremely sweet to the point where I couldn't take more than 2 sips. I did not finish my drink, and I felt disappointed at the poor quality of the milk tea. I'm assuming they make a batch of tea at a time because there is no option to customize the sweetness of your drink. However, I've had milk tea at similar places that don't allow sweetness level customization, and this was just wayyy too sweet. The tea also had a weird chocolate aftertaste? I'm not sure if it was the tea or the boba. And the boba was rock hard. It wasn't chewy, and it felt like I was biting into frozen pieces of tapioca. My rating only reflects the quality of the drinks here. They also offer bingsoo (shaved ice) and bakery items that we didn't try. read more

We tried the macarons that were freshly made and they tasted good but be sure to ask what they are filled with as they had different fillings than you usually find elsewhere. But the drinks every single time have been so bad... they are either very watered down or the coffee is so bitter. Knead is consistently a solid choice for cakes and treats. I love that you can get mini cakes, they're perfect for birthdays in this picky household. The service also is friendly and quick! It's in a great location, especially if you've kicked off your afternoon or evening with Korean BBQ or BBQ Wings! I packed red bean bingsoo, but there's a spoonful of red beans in it. It's not red bean bingsoo, it's shaved ice with milk. And you pay, you will get an 18% tip. If you don't press cancel while paying, the tip will automatically be included in the payment amount, but they don't explain it, so you must check the bill. I looked for a manager to suggest that there are few red beans, and the part-timer answered instead that she couldn't come out because she was busy. I recommended to my friends that bingsoo is delicious, but I should tell them not to go. If anyone is going, please check the bill and don't pack bingsoo. I complained about the tip, and part timer returned it to the cash. I can give the part-timer any tips, but the behavior of returning the tips with cash and the attitude of the manager who did not come out even if I called them were very unpleasant. I went to the place to talk nicely and move on, but I felt so bad that I posted a review. I really experienced the worst service. read more

Stopped by with the family after eating at 92town. Place looked new, minimal decor, spacious, and very clean. Korean American bakery. Most of the items in the display case were "American" desserts, cakes, cupcakes, cookies. A few Korean baked goods, were prepackaged to the left of the cashier. A cafe menu was offered, with Korean options for coffee and tea. Bingsoo was on the menu as well and I was really hoping someone had one so I could see it, but unfortunately it wasn't a bingsoo night for anyone there. The place is open late and has plenty of tables for people to hang out, study, or do work. They even had a few larger, conference type rooms available to reserve. We ended up ordering the chocolate brownie, mango cheesecake, and M&M cookie. The chocolate brownie was baked just right. Outside was a bit crunchy, but the inside was very moist. It was sweet but not too sweet. The M&M cookie, was a tad bit on the dry side but the kids still enjoyed it- after all it is a cookie with M&Ms and both kids are under the age of 6, so anything with candy will be great to them. The mango cheesecake, was very light, almost the texture of flan. It was also had a delicate sweet taste to it. I enjoyed it, but the husband thought it was too "whipped" and prefers a more dense cheesecake. He liked the flavor but passed on the texture. I do not recommend this place at all. They have a room available to rent for small gatherings, $15 per hour, not bad. However, they also demand purchases of drinks for each gathering. If room is rented for 3 hours they are already generating revenue, drinks should be optional. I understand if it the main lobby, drinks should be purchased. That being said, to reiterate if a room is reserved and rented drinks should be optional and not enforced. Look no further than Starbucks, one can sit in the lobby, use Wi-Fi and purchase a drink if desired. The lady at the front desk is extremely rude and confrontational. My husband I just noticed this bakery after eating at 92 town. Apparently it just opened this year in January. The ambiance was light and airy, and the bakery was very clean inside. It would be a good place to gather for coffee, snacks, and studying. It seemed to be have an Asian twist due to the fact that bubble tea was on the menu. We had the honeydew bubble tea (which was not a blended beverage) and the cookies and cream smoothie. I think I would've preferred the honeydew drink to be blended, but it had the honeydew taste that I like (comparable to Coffeehaus' powder honeydew drink). I am a frequent visitor of Boba Tea cafes and decided to check out Knead Bakery and Cafe after a co-worker of mine brought me a mooncake she got from here. And afterwards, I decided I had to go in person. Each of their desserts/treats are individually packaged. There is a bakery section where you can grab the goods yourself as well as a dessert section you need to order at the counter. There was a special going on when I went for Valentine's Day - buy one smoothie or yogurt drink and get one free! I got a mango smoothie and grab a peach smoothie for my boyfriend. Both smoothies were blended to perfection and were incredibly delicious! I would highly recommend. I also got a strawberry roll cake slice and a green tea roll cake slice. The matcha cake was a bit strong, so if you don't like a strong green tea flavor it might not be for you, but I quite enjoyed it! The menu is very diverse including baked goods, desserts, and cafe foods. You definitely need to come more than once to really enjoy all this cafe has to offer. There is hand sanitizer available around the cafe. Staff are wearing masks. Social distancing is enforced and the cafe is open for dine-in. Something that I noticed was that there was no "clean pen / dirty pen" cup, just one pen at the register. So I just made sure to use sanitizer afterwards. Sad to see a business like this struggling to find its niche. Theyre a Korean style bakery at heart but with very few Korean bakery offerings, instead seeming to focus on expensive little cakes. Maybe there's a market for that, but they definitely aren't dining in. On average they seem to be uniformly overpriced by about 30%. The kind of prices people walk in, scoff at, and walk out. 40 dollars for an 8 inch cake gives you the idea. 13 dollars for Bingsoo, in a Korean-heavy plaza where they are undercut by 30% on things like this just a couple doors down. They have big city tourist foot traffic prices in the back of a strip mall in Schaumburg. The only unique item i havent tried yet are the soft egg sandwiches, which *look* great on the menu board. If it were me, I'd lean into those and savory variations. We tried an almond croissant and it was tragically tough, possibly a result of being reheated. On the plus side, hot coffee drinks are competitively priced and the mocha latte (tragically not listed on the menu) is very good. A generic name like 'Dessert Cafe 365' probably also isn't doing any favors. They don't have enough variety to really be a 'dessert' draw, so they're an odd no man's land of expensive little cakes, visually unappealing (to a western eye) plastic wrapped breads, and a couple sandwiches, with Korean competition all around. By all means try them out and see if you agree or not. read more

First time here and was disappointed. I ordered a coffee bingsoo. When I received my order, there was a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top with lots of chocolate syrup and Cocoa Puffs. I asked the lady if this was coffee and she said yes it's underneath. I told her I didn't like chocolate ice cream and she grabbed my bingsoo, went in the back with it, came back out and gave the bingsoo back and quickly walked away. I looked at the bingsoo and she took the chocolate ice cream out and left me with barely anything in my cup. She appeared annoyed and I left it at that. Stumbled upon this place when Coffee Haus was too crowded on a weekend night. It was such a nice, cozy little Korean bakery and cafe. There were musicians jamming in the corner, and plenty of small tables in the seating area. I can only speak in regards to their bread, but it was phenomenal. Fluffy, flavorful, sweet potato bread that just melts in your mouth. They are kind of a mix of a Korean American bakery, having cupcakes and cookies as well as some more Korean goodies.
