Stumbled upon this place when Coffee Haus was too crowded on a weekend night. It was such a nice, cozy little Korean bakery and cafe. There were musicians jamming in the corner, and plenty of small tables in the seating area. I can only speak in regards to their bread, but it was phenomenal. Fluffy, flavorful, sweet potato bread that just melts in your mouth. They are kind of a mix of a Korean American bakery, having cupcakes and cookies as well as some more Korean goodies. Arrived a little after 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon with a friend to get some work done. There weren't any employees in the front and only 1-2 other customers sitting in the cafe. However, it was fine as we needed some time to look at the menu and decide what we wanted. They have a variety of bubble teas, espresso drinks, teas, bingsoo (shaved ice), and baked goods. We ordered a matcha latte w/ espresso and a white mocha. The matcha was a little bitter (not espresso bitter but tea leaves bitter) but still tasty. The white mocha was good as well. The interior is clean, modern, and very cute. The windows allow for a lot of lighting, but it was pretty cold inside, so wear a sweater and get a hot drink if you're looking to stay a while. There's ample parking as this is located in a strip mall. I absolutely loved the space here! They have windows looking into their baking workspace, which is neat. They also have a large room that can be reserved and also divided into two smaller rooms. There are 2 gendered single stall bathrooms, and the women's bathroom was clean. While here, an older Korean lady (I assume the owner) brought us a small complimentary sample of their treats like chocolate espresso beans, etc. That was a pleasant surprise! Their mango banana smoothie was at once creamy yet texturized. A delightful sprig of tangy flavor tied the classic flavors of mango and banana together in a harmonious blend. I came here a few weeks back. The service was good. However, a small cup of water cost $1.50. If I'm sitting at your establishment for hours and am buying food, why am I being charge $1.50 for a tiny cup of water? I got the strawberry bubble tea and it was okay. As we were picking up some bingsoo from Coffee Haus, this place caught our eye. Since we aren't from the area we had no idea this cafe opened up. We decided to check it out and I think it was a worthwhile stop! The cafe is beautiful and spacious. There is a good mix of both modern and antique decor. I noticed they even have reserved rooms which is a really nice and rare feat for a cafe. They have many options on their menu. Honestly, there's really nothing that they don't offer here. There's something for everyone here from coffees, teas, smoothies, bubble tea, bingsoo, an array of bakery treats, various types of breads, and more savory food items. We ordered a couple of mini cakes: the Mango Mousse Cake ($7.99) and the Tiramisu Cake ($7.50-7.99). We also got one of their Blondie Bars (I believe this was around $5). When you walk in you're met with this giant case of bakery goods that look absolutely perfect. You can tell they are meticulous with each dessert. Given the price and the look of the baked goods, I had hoped that the cakes would live up to it. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. The classic Mini Tiramisu Cake was bland and lacked the usual flavor that comes from a tiramisu. The Mango Mousse Cake was okay, it was very gelatinous but the flavor was decent. I thought the Blondie was good but unfortunately, like everything else, my family disagreed. I definitely think this is a gourmet bakery and would be worth the price if the taste was there but I will make sure to try other things! We had our eyes on the cheesecakes for next time. That wasn't all we got! We ordered a Ham Panini last minute and listen, it was the BEST panini I'd ever had in my entire life. It wasn't normal by any means and they had so many ingredients in it that the panini had flavors that melded beautifully. I'd seriously take the drive to come back just for this. We also got their Ham, Cheese, & Onion Bread ($3.99). Again, so good!!! These items were worth it. We were tempted to buy more bread items. I think this may be their strength! It was all so tasty. All in all, it was mixed. We didn't enjoy the bakery items but we were absolutely thrilled by their bread items! I also would love to try their bingsoo in the future too. If I had known about this place, I'd have made my order for bingsoo here to try it out. They currently have a BOGO deal too for their bingsoo which is nice. For reference, pricing and portion is similar to that of Tous Les Jours. I believe they make everything in house which is a huge plus. There's this glass casing in the corner and you can see bakers hard at work. With that being said, I think it is worth the visit! Especially because it is a local business, show some support! Suji who often works the cashier and serves us is the best! My sister and I have been coming here almost every weekend for the past month. She remembers our faces and is so personable--we love being known and seen here. The drinks are fantastic and I highly recommend the blueberry yogurt smoothie. The mini/baby cakes and sweet rolls are also our preferred desserts. Love that there's a variety of food and beverage items, making this place a one stop shop for all your local Korean sweet tooth needs and beyond. Not to mention, the seating is abundant and cafe aesthetic is clean, stylish and modern. Background music is also an A+! Last benefit? Barely ever overcrowded. I've been a loyal coffee haus fan for years now and I had a taste for the matcha bing soo. But the line was 20 people deep and no cashier in sight so I decided to try knead next door. I should have waited in that line. I ordered the matcha bing soo and it was just all shaved ice with red bean and a few pieces of Mochi. It wasn't really all that flavorful either. The bingsoo or shaved ice here is really REALLY good. The hefty price makes sense once you take a bite. I'm not sure how they shave their ice like that but it makes the bingsoo so fluffy? It's such a different texture to what I've had at coffee haus next door. I would highly recommend getting one to share when you visit. The bakery items are nice! I only got a cookie and it's a bit soft for my preference but still good! The place is spacious and has lots of room for lounging. I hope they'll be able to get more traffic. I always love coming here whether it's for inside dining to enjoy a pastry and coffee or relax outside with my beautiful dog. The owner is very friendly and welcoming to all her customers and during the summer she was especially generous offering wonderful 2 for one specials with smoothies or cup of bingsoo shaved ice specialties. Now inside seating has again been restricted by our Governor here in Illinois so I spent some quality time outside with my dog to enjoy tiramisu in a baby sized cup portion and a good hot chocolate with oat milk. I'm glad they have so many other options besides just traditional dairy milk because I prefer the taste of oat milk and I think it tastes sweeter. I appreciate how cleanly and well organized everything is kept here and I truly hope dine in returns sooner than later because it's always so relaxing and welcoming here. There are so many drinks to choose from and many pastries, cakes and savory pastry. This coffee shop is well worth the visit. I feel especially grateful that they always welcome my dog to take a seat outside here. My dog and I spent many days enjoying a sandwich together outside on a bench and the staff was very accommodating providing her with drinking water. Came here because the line at Coffee Haus was long (should've stayed). The girl at the counter told me it was blended, it came over ice. Took a couple sips and it was gone. Literally paid almost $6 for a cup of ice. My two friends ordered the Milk Teas and it was barely drinkable. Didn't try the bakery items, but definitely don't come here for the bubble tea. read more

I go to this place pretty often for their desserts. Its a very nice and friendly environment. I would say that their bingsoo is phenomenally better than Coffeehaus's because they focus on the flavor of the fruit more than the toppings. Their shaved ice tastes a lot better too. The bakery is fantastic and everything tastes so good. I think the prices are perfect for the quality that you get. The service is really great and the workers are extremely nice. read more

It's an ok place. Great for studying and coffee lovers. The area is pretty big so lots of space to have to yourself or to bring a large group of people. They have couches with coffee tables and regular tables with chairs. Where I sat there was a lack of outlets and it was terribly cold. Not a super cozy atmosphere like you'd expect a bakery to be and they were low on lots of their dessert items. It's a decent place but not one I'd visit again. read more

Pretty excellent and unconventional bakery. They have a bunch of unexpected and unconventional desserts. Don't expect to come in here to get a slice of chocolate cake, or apple pie. I mean, you might find one of those things, or a variation, but it is unique little desserts that seem to be the priority. Tiramisu, pistahio lemon cakes, florentines, a butter cream sandwich on homemade milk bread. Macarons are common, but not guaranteed. I go for the accessibility and comfort for my late study hours which is severely lacking in the Schaumburg area. This is a decent Korean/Japanese bakery- which seems like a dime-a-dozen in the Schaumburg area these days. Compared to those other popular ones, I'd say pastries are a little lacking - technique needs to be improved. Slightly different selections than the typical "mocha cake" and "bbangs" it's obvious that they make the pastries there which is more than I can say about tour les jour. That said, consistency in quality of the pastries are not there. Sometimes I go and it's delicious. Other times, slightly overcooked. The teas are delicious. I haven't tried the bubble teas or anything because it's not a bubble tea place... I just don't trust a non-bubble tea place to make quality bubble tea. The ambiance is awesome for fellow students that need activity (but not crowded noise) to study. I give 4 stars because the setup is great, easy to sit and study for hours. They are open later than most "study-able" establishments in the Schaumburg area (except streets' Starbucks). AND great for group projects/ outings. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Came across this new bakery yesterday and decided to give it a try. Must say it was NOT the best decision. The coffee cake and blueberry muffin I bought was hard and over priced. There was nothing soft or moist about this coffee cake and nor did it even taste like coffee. The cake tasted dried out. The only soft part of the cake was the icing. The blueberry muffin was so hard that I couldn't even cut through it with their cheap plastic fork. Would not return nor would I recommend anyone to this bakery. Delicious coffee from PassionHouse roasters, which makes them the best place to get coffee in Schaumburg. They could use a little better management in preparing drinks, but they'll figure it out. Overall a great place to swing by, especially when you have a few minutes to sit down. **Update:** I've decided to give the bakery five stars, because they've become efficient at making drinks. The staff is very friendly and makes wonderful drip coffee. Their outdoor seating is the best place to sip your coffee in the morning, and with the exception of some occasional loud music they play, the indoor seating is a neat place to get some work done. Cute little cafe in an unassuming plaza! They have a lot of yummy treats here. I like getting their taro boba and I really love their hotteoks (the red beans in my favorite, but their cheese ones and brown sugar are really good too). Based on the reviews, decided of giving this bakery a try. I must say they have large sitting area as compared to other Bakeries around. The concept of having a separate small room for meetings/privacy is nice. But the baked goods and coffee are really bad. We ordered a latte with tiramisu and lemon muffin. I was surprised to see yet another Korean bakery come into the neighborhood, but the food offerings were a bit more Americanized than the others (think cupcakes, etc.). The matcha latte and lemon cupcake were good but not sure I'd make a special trip for it again since those totaled about $5. I wanted to get some of the pound cake but it was $9 for a loaf! First time at this bakery and it is a nice spot for students to come in and study. it is a quiet and peaceful space with spacious tables and good coffee. i think the coffee is average but it's all good. The only thing I would have to say would be that I do not like the music. It's some french music that can get distracting.
