The reason we booked and reserved a ride early was because we were going to be leaving at 2 AM in the morning to be able to catch our 8:15 AM flight to Washington (Dulles airport) then proceed to Rome,Italy. We knew how difficult it was to get a ride at that hour. Well, at the last minute, Bertha canceled and we could not get anyone to drive us to the airport via Uber. We tried calling cab companies like the Coachella Valley Cab Company but even though their services said they operated 24/7, no one answered the phone. We were in a panic since time was ticking away when I saw "Mom's Rides" under Google. Feeling hopeful but still nervous based on our past experiences, I called and thankfully, Mom answered, although I could tell she had just woken up. Mom was at our house at 3:45 AM and despite the early Monday traffic heading towards Los Angeles, we made it at 6 AMwhich gave us enough time to check in our luggage, go through TSA, use the toilets, and eat an early breakfast with coffee before our flight left. Mom was an EXCELLENT driver. She drove quickly but made sure we arrived safely. We were even able to have a bathroom break during the drive. She has a pleasant personality, loves dogs ( we enjoyed meeting Marley!), and acted like a true "Mom" to us. My husband is disabled but she would patiently wait for him to get out of the car and helped us with our luggage. In this modern world where sometimes, people only look out for themselves and care less about others, Mom is a reminder that despite the many changes in our world today, there is still some good in the world through the people who show their "light" for others. A BIG THANK YOU to Mom who helped us and made sure we got to our destination safely! We will surely get your services once more! OH! And we enjoyed her 70s and 80s music inside her white Dodge van! I saw Mom's Rides was available 24/7 so I figured I could give them a call since I needed to figure out a ride situation in less than 24 hours. I called around 10:53PM and she was nice over the phone telling me to send me send the addresses over so she can give me a quote. Taxi companies should ensure their drivers respect accessibility parking laws and community standards. I hope management addresses this with their drivers so these spaces remain available for those who rely on them. You have the time the incident happened, the area in which it happened... management can narrow down exactly who this customer was and call them because that customer will tell you that he is not handicapped and the store owner will also clearly tell you the customer was NOT HANDICAPPED your customer apologized for your driver behavior.

The driver was obviously disappointed by the short distance ride after we provided the address saying, "this must be my lucky day". His driving bordered on reckless. He exceeded the speed limit, he tailgated and made aggressive lane changes. He made us feel unsafe throughout the short ride. At the end of the ride, I noticed the meter was not displayed and asked him the price. He retrieved an iPad or equivalent from the floor, typed something in and then displayed the price of $39.50. This was more than double the usual fare. He stated it was "because there was a minimum fare which he would have told us if we asked". I looked up the base fare which is $4 with an additional airport fee of $3.25. Based on the mileage of our trip, total fare should have come out to less than $18. This was not only unprofessional but bordered on predatory behavior. We are Palm Springs locals that try to utilize local businesses whenever possible, but will never be using City Cab again. I contacted the company last week, but have yet to hear a response. I strongly urge other to consider Uber or Lyft.

I understand that as a business you will only have enough resources available based on your work force. But between the shortness of the operator, the time I was quoted and the fact that it seemed like I was inconveniencing HIM by calling the number on the business card left at the bar I won't be calling them ever again. I tried to do small business to avoid using uber, Lyft but when someone doesn't want the business or drives business away because they aren't even apologetic and empathetic to the caller then maybe they should find another business to operate.

Firstly, Road Runner and 4 Aces cab company work under the same dispatch so they had us communicating with both which was very confusing. I would never recommend either after our horrific experience last weekend. At our initial pickup the driver was over 20 minutes late and we missed our dinner reservation. He also didn't have a car that suited our party. He subbed out a van that did not fit all five of us with seatbelts. And when we expressed our concern to the driver himself, he laughed and said good luck getting an Uber. We had had some wine at dinner otherwise we would have driven ourselves. After dinner at our second pickup they instead sent two cars but one of the drivers was completely unsafe speeding and smelled of alcohol.
