We ordered a Toffee Nut Macchiato and a Dirty Autumn Chai Latte, and both were great. The macchiato was smooth but not overly sweet. The Dirty Autumn Chai was a bit sweeter and also great. I highly recommend this business. There was a bit of a line but I expected it since there were only two people working. They had decor on their coffee bar shelf. I love when businesses, especially food trucks have details like that. I ordered the seaside macchiato on their June specialty drink menu. I told the lady working that I prefer my drinks sweet so she suggested that I add more sweetener. They worked at a great pace with the line that they had. The wait wasn't too long. Maybe 5-7 minutes. My name was called and I stepped up for my drink. It was so pretty! I took a sip and immediately realized that it was not sweet enough to my liking. I stirred and received the same outcome. I went back to the window and asked for more sweetener. The guy working was apologetic and took my drink back with no complaint. Unfortunately, as he attempted to place my cup on the counter, the cup fell. He apologized again and remade it. He didn't cuss, fuss, or seem angry, he just remade the drink. That really made an impact because I would've expected a bit of frustration and there wasn't any. He remade my drink and explained that how I wanted it made, he had to add one less espresso shot. I thanked him for his patience and remaking my drink. They have great customer service! I give this company two thumbs up. read more

Detour usually comes to my apartment complex a few times a year and I make sure to never miss them. Service is always perfect, always met with a smile and friendly conversation. Coffee is fast, hot and always comes exactly how you order, so it's always nice. This isn't a long review but all I really wanted to say is it's always a pleasure to speak with them and always makes you have a good morning. Hats off to detour! Awesome job. read more

I'm big on Black owned business, so I make it a point to make a detour on my morning commute whenever Detour Coffeebar is in my community! It's always a morning pick me up to be greeted by a smiling face. I'm a person who always has questions, & they always make sure to answer them with patience & enthusiasm! I always try something new when I visit, but my favorite of all time was definitely the Banana Crisp w/ Oat Milk (yummmmm!). I'm not a habitual coffee drinker so being able to order fun drinks like this allows me to enjoy the caffeine boost for the day. The flavors are always great & the coffee is well made. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure all of their menu items can be ordered either hot or iced. They also have a wide variety of dairy alternatives for us dairy sensitive folks out there (#TeamOatMilk) to try in your drinks so you won't have to shy away from the festive seasonal drinks they offer. The muffins are also great & a pretty decent size! I don't have pics due to me being impatient when I get my hands on them, but believe me they're like the size of my palm. Ice Ice baby ... This Morning I took a Detour over to Detour Coffee Bar. Cool coffee on wheels concept . They are actually mobile and making their way around town . You can check their schedule available on the website or Instagram to find out where you can find them for the entire week . WOW! Detour Coffeebar had an event where I live so I decided to try it. Wasn't sure which holiday latte to get but the lady taking my order was extremely friendly and helpful and even told me she could mix and match flavors to my liking. I decided on the gingerbread latte and WOW! So much flavor, the ginger really pops, unlike at Starbucks where I feel their gingerbread latte falls flat. The coffee bar came to service the Wren Northlake apartment community today and the beverages were piping hot and extremely flavorful. The cold beverages were icy and good as well. I also got a slice of pistachio bread that reminded me of pound cake. Boy was it good! The customer service is what I look for and the 2 member team was friendly, fast and the prices are excellent! Since the pandemic I've been depending on coffee to get me through the day. What a delight to find Detour right here at my apt complex! I throughly enjoyed my holiday drink as well the the service. The Dirty Holiday Spiced Chai was splendid and gave me great comfort from the very first sip. You could taste spices like cinnamon without it being too overpowering. The only downside to Detour is that it is not in my neighborhood all the time. Detour is a great coffee truck with a big menu of delicious drinks and even pastries. We had the Fall menu, and got the Apple Caramel latte, Coffee Cake latte and the regular coffee. The great part about the lattes is that they weren't too sweet, but they tasted great. All of the drinks and coffee were much better than most coffee places I have had. We will definitely be seeking Detour out as it navigates its way around Charlotte. read more

This coffee truck came to our work today. The owner and the person helping were super friendly. They made us some amazing coffees. We had a cold brew and a latte. I went back for a white mocha latte. If you are looking for a coffee truck for any event, I would HIGHLY recommend Detour. When I first contacted them to schedule a date (it was list minute), they didn't have availability. But Mike connected me with other trucks in the area who may be able to help. I knew then that I wanted to work with Detour. We finally landed on a date and it was incredible! I have a staff of about 45 people and they provided beverages and baked good for them all. I had so many of my employees remark to me, "the coffee was so good!", "the muffins were incredible", and the resounding comment was "the guys in the truck were incredibly friendly!" Holy guacamole! This place is great! I had the Seaside Caramel Latte and my husband had the Cabana Chai and they were both phenomenal. I ordered through the Cloosiv app and the service was fast and friendly. Follow them on Instagram (@detourcoffeebar) to see where they'll be each day! In addition to coffee, tea, and iced blended drinks, they've also got a selection of pastries and mini quiches from The Breakfast Catering Company. I assumed it had just been mixed and that the usual layers of matcha, strawberry, and whipped cloud had blended together, so I didn't think much of it. However, after taking my first sip in the car, it immediately tasted like strawberry milk. Since I was on my way to work, I kept drinking it, expecting the matcha flavor to come through, but it never did. It was disappointing because the drink was nothing like the one I've had several times at other Haraz locations. I hope this location places an emphasis on training and consistency so the drinks meet the same standard as the rest of the Haraz locations. On a positive note, the staff members were kind, welcoming, and greeted me as soon as I walked in.

On this visit I had a cortado, which was strong, smooth and well made. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. What I like most is the atmosphere. During my visit I saw families browsing books while enjoying a drink, friends meeting for coffee and people having informal meetings. It feels like a place where you can spend time rather than simply stop by. The balcony seating looked especially appealing for reading or quiet study, with a good view over the café below. A place with plenty of character, and one I will be returning to again.

Check their schedule online, this coffee truck is absolutely worth tracking down. I'm seriously impressed, not just by the owner's friendliness but also by how consistently great the coffee is. I find myself keeping an eye out for them and never miss a chance to stop by when they're around. Every cup I've had has been excellent, and their smoothies and breakfast bites are just as good. Whether you're in the mood for a single cup or enough for a group, you won't be disappointed. They also cater events, which is a great option to keep in mind. I was thrilled to finally catch them across the street from my apartment, they 'd been on my radar for a while. The service was super welcoming, and the coffee didn't disappoint. They day of, they were communicative, on-time, and did an amazing job taking care of our staff. People were excited by the menu and then were impressed by the quality of their drinks (iced oat milk latte is a classic and is amazing!).
