Whenever I'm in Charlotte, I love to visit Night Swim Coffee. Honestly, everything I've tried from there has been a hit. This time I stopped in early, so it was nice and quiet. I got to chat with the baristas, who recommended one of their seasonal drinks. The Blackberry Shortbread Cookie Latte. It was the perfect mix of creamy and sweet, with a distinct "matcha-ey" quality where all the flavors balanced each other out perfectly. I really wish I'd had more time to sit and enjoy it there, the space looked so cozy! You definitely have to give their coffee a try. Was there for a 1-on-1 business mtg; hoped for an easy place to caffeinate & chat. Felt like an added task meeting here in a sea of regulars. The popular & intimate venue did not allow much space for conversation, only found 1 seat by the register. Did not see info about wifi but could have missed it as there were def peeps working on laptops- maybe I had to ask for that like I did the bathroom key. Got a good matcha latte in a lovely 'delivery.' Staff was polite, efficient. Dearth of offerings info - again, customers there are likely regulars-- so baristas didn't offer info I didn't expressly ask for. (I couldn't see what the milk subs were for drinks, or decaf options, etc.) The drink was fine but this is not the venue for me. I commuted to get there, & was annoying finding a spot in the close-quarters lot. Then had to stop busy staff to ask for the bathroom key...esplly awkwd since I had to go more than once. Stopped by here for a second visit to co-work with a friend, and once again had a nice experience. I got one of their seasonal drinks and a breakfast burrito, and both were delicious. Great coffee spot. Very light and bright. Nice spot to work if you're looking for a change from the home office. The coffee is great, but I personally love the Masala Chai! The breakfast sandwich is tasty but could use a little more aioli. It gets absorbed by the brioche so it can get a little lost. Stopped by Sunday morning for some food and coffee. Not a lot of people here yet so there were lots of parking spots. I got a cappuccino while my sister got the pumpkin spice latte. My sister got the breakfast sandwich which was egg, bacon, and cheese on brioche. I got the breakfast burrito which was pretty filling! The barista recommended it saying it was the most popular burrito on the menu. I was impressed! Everything was good. Hope to come back if we're in the area! read more

This was my first visit and I really like this coffee shop. There is space to sip on your favorite brew and work or just grab a coffee and relax. It's spacious. They have gender neutral restrooms and the menu is large. They also have great customer service AND the food is tasty PLUS the coffees are especially delicious! I tried the Ube Matcha Latte! Omg it was good! It's seasonal so I'll have to come back for it before it ends. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center and there is outside seating. read more

So great. I love all their locations. Their staff at each location are wonderful...the coffee is liquid gold caffeine and there is ample space to sit and enjoy. I love how consistent it is between all of their locations. What you experience at one location....you'll experience at ALL. No cap. On the way to work and decided to stop by this coffee shop for something "different". Went with their iced Vanilla Latte with an extra shot of espresso. Very flavorful and delicious. Not so sweet and I definitely tasted that extra shot which I LOVED & needed. Ordered their Avocado toast and OMG it was the best ever! I love their different ingredients from their micro cilantro, onions, spicy sauce and of course their avocado. It's a bit pricey but I will come back any chance I get to eat it again. Fun coffee shop with a great variety of coffees and teas. They also have some baked goods. Lots of seating inside that would be perfect for working ( lots of folks taking advantage of the laid-back atmosphere to do so). They have a small patio area outside where you can sit and enjoy your caffeine fix. Parking lot is a little crazy as there are other shops around, and FYI, they do not take cash! Stopped by when I was in the neighborhood last week and was pleasantly surprised! Very cute setup inside with real plants! It's a fairly good sized coffee shop, with tables and spaces to work or meet up with folks. The shop is located in Oakhurst, in a plaza with pretty ample parking. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and a pumpkin maple muffin. Both were really good! The service was good, place was clean and my coffee was ready pretty quickly. This spot is near my home and I want to try a new coffee spot each week. I selected the seasonal latte, Rosy Cheeks: housemade rosemary & black peppercorn syrup, vanilla double shot of espresso, & oatmilk. It was spectacular in every way! I'm excited to try their other seasonal items. I also ordered the savory scone. It was pretty good but I wish it was warmed up, they did not offer to warm it but I could have asked. The inside has a cool layout with a main long community table. The table was not wiped off between customers so there were crumbs along the table. The other furniture selection are modern and comfortable. The huge blank wall is a bit of an eye sore and would be amazing with a mural or some art. The outside patio is beautiful as well. The only thing that stuck out to me was that none of the baristas made an effort to make me feel welcome but I understand maybe something happened or they were having a bad moment. read more

Overall, I had a great vibe at Night Swim! Excellent place to work with plenty of tables and chairs. The service was very good and friendly. I would have given them 5 stars, but the iced caramel latte was not my favorite. The caramel sauce tasted a little off to me. I did have the blueberry muffin which was fantastic. Came here to get some work done and chose Noght Swim specifically from the google search "cafes with couches." Parking is abundant. There is indoor and outdoor seating - though the outdoor is not covered, so you do get full sunshine. Sunglasses suggested. They do have an area of metal rocking chairs under a cloth awning and wifi does reach outside. At the suggestion of the barista, I ordered their Malabar with steamed milk. They compared it to a sister drink of the golden latte. They have an app to order from (Odeko) which has rewards and many coffee shops in the area use it. They do have some in-house made syrups and source locally as much as possible. Will definitely make this a frequent spot as it's near home. Went here for the first time the other day. The shop seems nice, there were lots of customers, and the service was fast. I ordered a brewed coffee to go, and I'm sorry to say the coffee was absolutely vile. I've been drinking coffee for 50 years, and I've had it all over the world. While I enjoy a good cup of coffee, I'm not being a coffee snob here. I will drink gas station coffee. But there was something terribly wrong with this coffee. I suggest for quality control, they should taste each batch they brew. I should have gone back and told them, but I just ended up pouring it out. Taste the brewed coffee before you leave the counter. I love a new coffee place open in the area. First off, the interior is nice. Quant. I can see myself bringing some work here to do for a couple of hours. Great vibes all around. All of the staff are friendly and there to help out. Menu is fairly simple with food (breakfast items) and drinks with some seasonal items. I ordered the breakfast sandwich. I had it plain; nothing added to it. It's simple, but overall it's good. It is quite small. The bun is nice and airy on the inside. Next was the Masala Chai. Very aromatic and with hints of various spices to bring out the flavor of the drink. This is a nice spot for coffee dates and little get togethers. So glad Night Swim decided to find a home at Oakhurst Commons! We were long overdue for a great coffee shop in that shopping center. I love that Night Swim has a broad range of rolling seasonal items. One of my favorites, the Head in the Clouds matcha latte has now become permanent! It is an iced matcha latte with a house-made rose syrup and oat milk that is mildly sweet. The only downside to this place is that it can be pricey because they charge for flavors in your latte. This was my first time trying Night Swim. I went in right before 9:30 on a Monday and I thought it would be super busy, but I was surprised to see only 1 person ahead of me. It's really cute inside and I wish I could've stayed to do some work (I'll be back for that). I ordered their sweet Matcha latte with oat milk which is a departure from my usual Chai latte. Massively undersized for a busy Saturday, plenty of need for growth which is exciting. Pour overs aren't offered at this location like the Roastery & Cafe location. The small batch brewer wasn't able to keep up and was just restarting when we made it to the front of the line. The 2 head espresso machine was also indicative of the need to expand to a larger location. The parking lot is also way too small with very tight spaces and every single spot being filled on first pass through the lot, thankfully a car left on our second trip through the lot. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I stick to chai or hot chocolate, both of which are delicious and never overly sweet. The breakfast sandwich is tasty--perhaps small to some, but a perfect option for when I'm hanging out there and feeling a little hungry.
