I'm not sure what Ube is, but it is fantastic. You've got to try the moonlight drink. Get it hot, get it iced, just get it. I got it hot and it was so tasty. I went to the TX conference and even though the place was packed they were moving right along like a well oiled machine. They also have a fantastic breakfast burrito that I will be coming back for

We came early in the morning and it was a good way to start off the day! We were one of the first people there but they kept having people steadily come through as we were enjoying our breakfast. I'd recommend coming for a coffee and to grab a bite. We got a basic drip coffee, which was strong and also the breakfast burrito, which was so flavorful and delicious! Service is quick. The space is very clean and spacious.

This place is great. I visited on a Wednesday while in the area for an event and it was the perfect lunch/ coffee break spot. I really enjoyed my steak wrap and I was able to add a fried egg for added protein. I also had an iced matcha with oat milk and a pump of vanilla syrup. It was such a fun time. My colleagues had a tropical smoothie and a ube matcha latte. Overall the service here was great. It was also pretty buzzing with remote workers.

Lovely spot for breakfast or lunch! Great coffee and a menu with so many tasty options. Highly recommend the ceasar salad or honey and cinnamon latte. Good service and atmosphere too.

Super cute inside with plenty of seating. Lots of meet ups, people working. Didn't feel overly noisy, was able to be productive and work. Latte was wonderful and bacon egg and cheese croissant was SO good. If I was a local this would absolutely be my spot.

Every time I come here I am impressed, but this took the cake. I came around 12 on Valentines Day and they were SLAMMED! I saw a Neopolitan latte advertised and I really wanted to try so I decided to stick it out- Not only was the staff cool under pressure, but my food came out in less than 5 mins - croissant hot and crusty, chicken salad as delicious as ever. The drink took a little longer but they have an Marzocco machine so hand pulling all the shots takes more time than an automatic machine like Eversys (I think the product is worth the labor). The latte was scrumptious and so was my food. Staff made this busy experience enjoyable. Vibes here never fail.

I love, love, love Platform! Every time I go, I get the same wonderful service, same delicious food, & coffee. That avocado toast is food art! And the bacon & hash browns are always cooked to perfection. Quick service, even when they're busy. The ambiance is top tier, too! Only downside is the parking situation. Prices are reasonable.

Searched for a coffee place with a decent menu size for breakfast and this was definitely the spot! I'm not a big coffee fan so I got the smoothie which wasn't on the menu but available for sale and it tasted super fresh and not too sweet. My boyfriend on the other hand got the latte and he loved it but wish it was hotter. For breakfast, I got the avocado toast and it was life changing and probably worth the $10 with all of the different toppings they put on it. There are lots of seating options inside and outside and a decent amount of parking which is great. They have a water station to grab and go which I appreciated it all. Looking forward to coming here again!

What a cute spot - perfect for coffee, lighter breakfast and lunch fare and remote working. I enjoyed my experience at Platform coffee. It's very chill, the employees were super nice and most importantly the coffee is solid. They even sell freshly roasted coffee beans. They also offer a few tea options if coffee isn't your thing. The fruit in my yogurt bowl was fresh - no premade anything or frozen fruit. I'll likely return for remote working or for grabbing coffee with friends. There is an outdoor area that is dog friendly - but just a heads up the pups cannot come inside the shop.

Platform coffee has easily become one of my favorite coffee shops in Charlotte. And they stay busy! So I am assuming everyone else loves it just as much. I love that there is outdoor seating and that there is so much bright lighting in the space. The food is fresh, the chai tea lattes are delicious and come with different syrup options to spruce it up seasonally. I've only ever grabbed bagels here and they are so delicious. I really appreciate that. They figured out the appropriate bagel to cream cheese ratio and aren't skimping in that area - because who wants a glaze of cream cheese?! Give me more! And they do without me asking. Parking can get crazy here, but there is plenty of street parking most of the time. Berry Hill Road can be busy on this side so exercise caution.

Stopped inside for coffee and a Lox salmon on an everything bagel for breakfast. It was delicious Perfect spot for a light breakfast. Lots of seating and a cozy sitting areas. Great spot to come read, work and or have a light bite.

Cute coffee shops that serve good food can be hard to come by - but Platform Coffee stands out as a tasty option in an up-and-coming Charlotte neighborhood. I was working nearby and ended up eating both breakfast and lunch here, and I would definitely be a regular if I lived in the area. For breakfast, I enjoyed the Yogurt Bowl, which was fresh and filling for such a reasonable price! The yogurt was sweet and creamy, and the granola was wonderfully crisp and crunchy. I also ordered a cortado, which was just OK, as it was a little heavy on the cream. For lunch, I went with the Steak Wrap as a recommendation from a friend. This was full of warm, comforting flavors, and kind of reminded me of a Mexican-inspired Philly Cheesesteak. This was exactly the fuel I needed - and again was a very affordable lunch option for the amount of food it was. I also have to shout out the team working behind the counter at Platform. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, and you could just tell that they enjoy where they work and want their guests to feel welcome.

Optimist Hall itself is a very food-centric, upscale food hall with a ton of vendors, so the atmosphere is energetic and fun. Seating can be a little challenging during peak dinner hours since so many people are grabbing food from different spots, but when the weather is nice there's plenty of outdoor seating. Harriet's keeps their burger formula refreshingly simple. It's a classic smash burger done right--made to order with a straightforward menu that doesn't overcomplicate things. There's usually a line, but it moves pretty quickly, and the burgers come out hot and fresh. One of the best parts of eating here is the flexibility of the food hall experience. While you're waiting, you can grab a craft beer, a glass of wine, or even browse for dessert from one of the other vendors. Insider tip: Come with a group if you can. It's a great place to share fries and let everyone explore different vendors around the hall. Parking is fairly easy with the nearby garage, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. Overall, Harriet's is a fun, delicious stop for a smash burger, especially if you're already enjoying the energy of Optimist Hall.

I live super close to Optimist Hall, so it's been on my radar for a while. This particular night I wasn't feeling great, so I DoorDashed instead of dining in. I ordered the Royale with crispy fries and let me just say... I get it. The burger was genuinely impressive. The quality of the beef stood out immediately. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The meat to bun ratio was spot on, which is crucial. Nothing worse than a bread heavy burger. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, the build was balanced, and even after delivery, everything held up beautifully. So far I've tried two burger spots in Charlotte, and this one takes the top spot. I'm not ready to declare it the best in the entire city just yet because my burger tour is ongoing, but right now it's leading the race. I'll definitely be going to Optimist Hall soon to try it fresh off the grill and experience the service and atmosphere firsthand. Expect an update. But based on this first round alone, Harriet's is absolutely worth the order. Burger lovers, this one deserves a try.

Think that perfect meat-cheese-bread ratio you get at an In-N-Out: not too big, not too messy, not dripping everywhere, but still juicy and satisfying. A burger you can actually pick up and enjoy without resorting to a knife and fork like George Costanza. That's why I appreciate Ace No. 3. Their menu is refreshingly simple -- burgers, fries, shakes -- and that simplicity tells me they know exactly what they do well. Everything is made to order, and the consistency shows. The Ace burger is my go-to, and it delivers every time. The shoestring fries are excellent, and the sweet potato tots are another favorite. I've also treated myself to a milkshake here and there, and they're worth it. Fun bonus: they offer "boozy shakes" for adults, which adds a playful twist -- just note they have to be enjoyed on site. They also keep a short, rotating list of beers, which I appreciate. It's curated, not overwhelming. One thing I noticed recently -- and as a fellow marketer, I have to applaud this -- is their milkshake happy hour from 2-4 PM. That's a smart strategy to drive traffic during slower hours between lunch and dinner. Simple, effective, and well executed. A few practical notes: Parking can be a little tight because the lot behind the restaurant is small, but if you go during off-peak hours or order ahead for pickup, it's manageable. The Belmont neighborhood location is easy to get in and out of, and while it's not a high-traffic pedestrian area, that can actually work in your favor. Bottom line: As someone who grew up with West Coast burger culture, this is the closest I've found in Charlotte to that classic, satisfying bite -- even if it costs a bit more than In-N-Out. The quality and execution make it worth it. Get out there, eat well, be curious -- and follow me as I continue eating my way through Charlotte.

We managed to grab a larger enough table and everyone circled until we made our individual choices and then returned to our central meeting spot to break bread and indulge in all of our finds.
