Really enjoyed my visit here. The location is great, with plenty of parking, which makes stopping by easy. The space itself has a really cool industrial vibe and offers lots of seating both inside and outside, making it a great spot to hang out or get some work done. Their menu has a lot of great options, including seasonal drinks. I tried the Split Decision latte and loved that it wasn't overly sweet, it had a great balance of flavor. Platform Coffee is for sure one of my favorite coffee shops! I love the food options because they have great breakfast items and great lunch items. Recently I went for a meeting and tried their avo toast and yogurt bowl. Both were delicious and different. As simple as avo toast seems...a good amount of places don't get it right. But Platform is now my fav avo toast in the city. The bread was crunchy but not too hard and everything was so flavorful and paired well. The avocado was perfect too! First off, beautiful space. Sofas, group tables and general seating abound. Comes across and very hipster but cozy and chill. As for the food and drinks... I don't understand they hype AT ALL. I got a seasonal banana latte and toast lox, and for $22, yikes. I didn't taste any banana in the latte, but I did like the flavor of the espresso. While I ordered a toast lox, all I got was toast, sans lox. I'm assuming they didnt hear me correctly, and the blame is partly on me for not checking until I got home. For $12 though, I could have made this toast avocado at home and actually gotten full. Just overall a disappointment of a visit. read more

My baby and I were in the area and decided to stop by Platform coffee. I had been here before with my best friend, so this was my 2nd time visiting. The ambiance is everything, such a nice clean space. The noise level was at a medium, so to me not an ideal place to work, but there were definitely people there working on their lap tops. We were greeted right away, and they guy that took our order was really nice. I ordered a breakfast burrito and an iced oatmilk chai, and a bacon egg and cheese crossaint with a tropical smoothie for my son. Our food didn't take too long to come out, service was quick! I had been hearing that they had the best breakfast burrito in Charlotte, but I honestly didn't care for the burrito, they used to much of whatever sauce they use in it (maybe a chipotle mayo sauce), and that's all I could taste. It had avocado, sausage, egg and cheese, but all I tasted was that sauce.. My chai was nice, my son really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich and his smoothie. Every time I come here I am impressed, but this took the cake. I came around 12 on Valentines Day and they were SLAMMED! I saw a Neopolitan latte advertised and I really wanted to try so I decided to stick it out- Not only was the staff cool under pressure, but my food came out in less than 5 mins - croissant hot and crusty, chicken salad as delicious as ever. The drink took a little longer but they have an Marzocco machine so hand pulling all the shots takes more time than an automatic machine like Eversys (I think the product is worth the labor). Plenty of parking as well. Searched for a coffee place with a decent menu size for breakfast and this was definitely the spot! I'm not a big coffee fan so I got the smoothie which wasn't on the menu but available for sale and it tasted super fresh and not too sweet. My boyfriend on the other hand got the latte and he loved it but wish it was hotter. For breakfast, I got the avocado toast and it was life changing and probably worth the $10 with all of the different toppings they put on it. There are lots of seating options inside and outside and a decent amount of parking which is great. They have a water station to grab and go which I appreciated it all. It's very chill, the employees were super nice and most importantly the coffee is solid. They even sell freshly roasted coffee beans. They also offer a few tea options if coffee isn't your thing. The fruit in my yogurt bowl was fresh - no premade anything or frozen fruit. I'll likely return for remote working or for grabbing coffee with friends. Platform coffee has easily become one of my favorite coffee shops in Charlotte. And they stay busy! So I am assuming everyone else loves it just as much. I love that there is outdoor seating and that there is so much bright lighting in the space. The food is fresh, the chai tea lattes are delicious and come with different syrup options to spruce it up seasonally. I've only ever grabbed bagels here and they are so delicious. I really appreciate that. They figured out the appropriate bagel to cream cheese ratio and aren't skimping in that area - because who wants a glaze of cream cheese?! Give me more! And they do without me asking. Parking can get crazy here, but there is plenty of street parking most of the time. Berry Hill Road can be busy on this side so exercise caution. read more

I was working nearby and ended up eating both breakfast and lunch here, and I would definitely be a regular if I lived in the area. For breakfast, I enjoyed the Yogurt Bowl, which was fresh and filling for such a reasonable price! The yogurt was sweet and creamy, and the granola was wonderfully crisp and crunchy. I also ordered a cortado, which was just OK, as it was a little heavy on the cream. For lunch, I went with the Steak Wrap as a recommendation from a friend. This was full of warm, comforting flavors, and kind of reminded me of a Mexican-inspired Philly Cheesesteak. This was exactly the fuel I needed - and again was a very affordable lunch option for the amount of food it was. I also have to shout out the team working behind the counter at Platform. I tried the steak wrap, which was filled with Carne Asada, sautéed peppers and onions, avocado, spicy pickled jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and a delicious signature aioli. It was packed with flavor and made for an amazing meal. I also ordered a butter croissant; it was initially toasted a bit too much and came out a little hard, but the staff was so nice about it and happily switched it out for a fresh one--much appreciated! For drinks, I had a cappuccino, which was good, but the real highlight was the holiday bourbon latte. It was so good and has quickly become one of my new favorite holiday drinks! Super cute (and busy) coffee shop. On a weekday afternoon almost every table both inside and outside were taken by people working on laptops, meeting, in small groups or just hanging out. I was able to score a small table inside near the counter and it was consistently busy. I ordered the Matcha latte with blueberry cold foam. Not going to lie, I didn't care for my drink. The Matcha flavor just wasn't there for me and it was like I was drinking a seven dollar glass of oat milk. Nonetheless, the vibe was very good. It was very clean inside and there was music was playing, but it was very low so you couldn't really tell unless you were paying attention. Platform coffee was amazing! I was so hungry & everything was so great, I forgot to take pictures. The ambiance of the coffee shop is industrial and full of plants. There was a separate room to work if you want a quiet environment, but there were also plenty of people working in the regular seating area. It looked like a great place to get your work done. The waffle so crisp and fresh, the Brussel sprouts, yup! The Brussel sprouts, get them, and of course the fresh, hot and magnificent French fries that likely go oh so well with the Smashburger that's on my list to try. Yes, all these items "had me at hello" (Jerry Maguire for those of you not in the know). Hello!! I could go on but I have to save space to mention the beautiful facility and fabulous!staff! As a business owner in this industry and as someone whose hobby is eating, traveling for food and studying all things food related (been like this since childhood) this place is run by people who know what they are doing. I see the standard of excellence they've set for every aspect of this business and wouldn't be surprised if one day they aren't teaching others to do the same. Food was actually much better than what i expected from a nicer place for coffee. I had a steak burrito from the lunch menu tjat was very flavorful, they said spicy, I didn't notice much spice but my husband did so that is subjective. He had a scrambled eggs in croissant with sausage and mozzarella, flavors complimented each other, it was nicely cooked and croissant was devine. Service is good, we quickly got coffee and our food shortly after, no complaints there. When it comes to coffee this place exceeded my expectations for sure, I am very particular about my coffee and i don't use any flavoring, I was surprised how good regular iced late tastes here. Their espresso machine must have great pressure and does not burn the coffee at all. Overall delicious. Ambiance is different than in other coffee shops i have been, place has modern industrial design and seating is nicely soaced out. Overall If i was in Charlotte I would come back. P.S. Starbucks with better food is how I'd describe Platform. Again, I am amazed at how many coffee shops and breweries that Charlotte has in relatively the same area! It was busy so I guess that means something... The service was fast and friendly and I had the yogurt bowl which was delicious, although I viewed the pics some others have posted and I think they cheated me with the pecans. Other than the sprinkling of nuts I received, portion was generous. No complaints. I'd like to go again and try more of their food options. read more

I've been here several times for iced lattes and sometimes they are delicious, but a few times the espresso has been sour and it has totally ruined the latte! I think some of the baristas don't know how to correctly pull an espresso shot. For $8 a latte, it's pretty disappointing!
