I ordered 2 rotors according to their chart to what fits plus the thing at the top that says "this fits your car." With the car torn apart I found out that the set of rotors were 1/2" too wide. I called Detroit Axle and was told that their chart said it fit my car! I told them that I was the one with their rotor in my hands that didn't fit. I asked if they also tried to fit that rotor on a Mazda 3. Several people insisted that their chart was right.....amazing! Apparently when the customer has proof in hand they are not right! On top of that they will subtract a restocking fee regardless if it was their mistake. This company really doesn't care about the customer at all! And to top it off they want you to pay shipping back for a return which for rotors weighing 24lbs shipping clear across the country is 81.00!! Then you have to contact them when you see it got delivered to give them your tracking number. Do they not even know when they see it delivered? Who does this?? I ordered a steering knuckle that was supposed to match a certain range of manufacture dates for my car. After installing the part, my car did not run properly and I took it into a dealership who confirmed that the part I ordered did not match the manufacture dates for which it was listed, so I had the dealership go ahead and replace it with the correct part. I explained this to Detroit Axle and they admitted to the listing error, but have refused to refund me for the part since it had been installed. Well, the only reason it had been installed in the 1st place was because I trusted them to have their parts correctly listed. This was the worst online ordering experience ever. First of all, it took over 12 days to receive my order, even though the website guarantees 2-day shipping. I tried reaching out to them several times and never got a response. I ended up having to order parts from a different company since all Detroit Axle did was take my money. After 12 days of waiting and emailing, I finally received a shipment from them. Everything in the box was wrong--only 2 out of the 18 parts were correct, and 2 parts were missing entirely, including the most expensive ones. Did they reach out after everything went wrong? The part was not used as it would have been imposs as it didn't fit, couldn't be secured, and wasn't driven on. This was a rotor/brake pad combo. They are offering a refund on the brake pads but claim the rotors are used. They were able to provide a picture that simply shows a handprint Which is their idea of it being used. I explained that I already had an appointment to have it fixed., and I needed to have both parts by a certain date, which they did shop it to me in time. I opened the package the next morning, and there was only be of the parts I ordered, and a piece of the second. I had already paid to reserve the five hour slot, which now i will loose out on some of it because I don't have all the parts. But lucky for me, as soon as the company Detroit Axle became aware of my negative encounter with Amazon, they immediately tried to reach out to me via different platforms. Today I finally got the chance to speak with a representative from Detroit Axel, her name was Alexa. She was very professional and gave me the opportunity to express myself by listening to my side of the story. She made me feel very important. Placed order two days ago because it said it would be delivered today , called yesterday to verify was informed it would be shipped and i would be receiving order between Friday and Sunday , today on Thursday checked again order not sent still and they had no clue where my order was with the system showing it was completed but had no tracking number on it , so i found my parts elsewhere and called back and magically within 15 mins a shipping label had been created and emailed to me so i called back to cancel my order and was told it was already shipped within 15 mins ! Let me start by saying I have been a mechanic for 29 years 10 of those years serving my country in the Army, Active Duty with 4 different combat tours to the middle east. And 14 of those years I was a certified diesel mechanic. So I'm pretty confident that I know what failing brakes sound like. I Purchased a full set of brakes and rotors for my car, all four, full replacement. I opted for the best package they offered the 10 piece slotted and drilled rotors with ceramic brakes as the warranty was shown as a 10 year full replacement on all parts. I have only had these brakes and rotors on my car for 2 years and am getting a pretty serious grinding noise when stopping along with pedal vibration. I called Detroit Axle's "customer service" department. First thing I was told was that they would not warranty the brake pads. I explained to them that the advertisement that was listed in February of 2023 was a full warranty replacement on all parts and that was the main reason I purchased these. If that wasn't enough they proceeded to tell me that the only way they would warranty the rotors was if I paid for the shipping. When asked how much was the shipping they proceeded to tell me that shipping was $80. I was flabbergasted. That was almost half of what I paid for the package in the first place. After speaking with them for over an hour on two different occasions they refused to do anything to lessen the blow of all this. I could not internally justify paying that much for just shipping. This company is deceptive and conniving and only after the customers money please do not purchase anything from them they will not stand behind their product. read more
