The food was really good, fast service but the server didn't seem very happy. It wasn't super busy too which was nice

By the time we left, it seemed to be a little more busy. I'm pretty sure there was only one waitress for both the bar and the dining room floor. The menus were sticky, especially the happy hour and drink my news. Lots of different cocktails. I ordered a margarita and was asked if I wanted a flavor. I asked for mango but then was told later they were out. So I went with blackberry. The drink was fine. It wasn't the best margarita I've ever had though. It's called O Grizzly's and there's some Oakland University nods inside. There were quite a few patrons wearing Golden Grizzly gear, there was a basketball game that night. But the place still feels gimmicky to me. A way to market Oakland University people and get them in the door but doesn't do much else after that. There really doesn't feel like a true affiliation with the University. Bathrooms are single stall and felt clean. The menu is not too overwhelming. Went with the blooming onions and they were absolutely delicious. Hot onions with a crunchy batter and a yummy dipping sauce. I went with the Tandoor wings as it was really played up on their menu. I got medium for sauce. My husband got chicken tenders and we ordered a side of fries. I was disappointed with my chicken wings. They were a good size but the skin was rubbery and some of the chicken tasted chewy. Also, the sauce was very runny, didn't really stick to the chicken wings. I am not sure where the Tandoor part was to the wing? They gave about five half sticks sliced in half of celery for nine wings, not enough at all. I asked for blue cheese but was given ranch. The fries were thicker, cut, and swirly, which are interesting and they had a good seasoning on them. Our waitress was friendly and decently attentive, considering she had to serve every table and run the bar. Food was coming out decently fast. But getting our check and cashing out took a while. It got to the point where my husband just went up to the bar where she was so we could cash out.

Went for a second time, despite my last review…read more My son insisted on the chicken fingers again. Daughter required a pepperoni pizza. My wife had the fajitas and I decided on the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. The food came relatively quick. The chicken fingers were about the same but my son was happy. The pizza was pretty nondescript. I'd compare it to a low grade high school pizza with really nothing to recommend it. My wife appreciated the large size of the fajitas and salad but also found the fajitas unusually spicy. Sadly, the Nashville Chicken didn't really taste at all like Nashville Chicken. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't what was expected. The fries were good and we like the seasoning. But that's about the highlight of the night. I think this really will be the last time for me.

I had made reservations for 4 people which is all that is allowed per their website when I made them. With friends dropping out last minute, it wasn't a problem for the restaurant. The coffee setup is so cute. Even without a handle on the coffee mug, it doesn't get too hot that you can't pick it up. I went with a huge spread for lunch partially because I couldn't decide and partially because it was just me and they had been expecting 4 people. The cones are so much fun. You can definitely make a meal out of them. I would probably do a meal of only them in a future visit. I also got fluffy pillows which so garlicky but oh so good. I would have them again but only if I were sharing with someone so I'm not tempted to eat them all. The wedge salad was good...a unique setup... The desert that I had was amazing. The white chocolate almond cake was so good and had such a good flavor. I could almost make a meal of just it. I would come back in the future

I sat at the bar where Mae very thoughtfully helped me navigate through the extensive been menu. I was very impressed at the selections! She brought me three tasters and, honestly, each of them were fantastic. It seems fitting that I chose a pint of Conflict of Interest in the midst of a difficult decision! The food menu is just as impressive. I'm certain anyone can find a favorite. I ordered the blackened chicken gnocchi and found myself in flavor heaven. I've made and eaten a lot of gnocchi and this is easily the best I've ever had. Mae agreed with me and suggested it's because there's cheese in those potato pillows. I dunno but I would eat this every day if I could. If I thought they'd keep, I'd buy extra and take some home. Meanwhile the bar crowd was friendly and chatty as we watched soccer on a few TVs. It was pretty chill, everyone just kicking back with great beer, tasty food and a worldwide sporting event. That said, I'm not waiting four years to come back!

Sat outside most recently and brought our toddler. She got to run around and explore. The fineapple cider on draft is my favorite and so refreshing. Menu wise has so many options. We went with the beer bites and cheese. The food cane out hot and the cheese is so good with the pretzels. The kids grilled cheese was a big size and tasty. Love the shoestring fries. So impressed with all of their drinks they make in house. Came another time for dinner with a friend to catch up. A large group took over the dining room. Stayed way past they were done with their food and drink. They stayed 5 hours and disrupted the restaurant. Our waitress gave us a small discount for how annoying these people were. She said staff were even over them.

This cocktail bar is small, low ceiling with low lighting, and simple decor. Their menu is a small book of interesting, and priced as such, cocktails. Each has a fun name. They do offer a small list of beer and wine, and obviously you can order a standard drink as well. They have a few snack offerings, but there is no full menu. A friend and I went at the right time, the late end of happy hour on a Friday, but before any crowd. We did not have a reservation, but they were quiet when we arrived and we were seated immediately. They do have a 90 minute table limit for busy nights. The service was fantastic all around. We both enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere. This may be the best place in Rochester for a drink.

I love the little speak easy bars popping up all over the city, it is a fun way to use the space. During the day, this is a hallway that leads to a barber shop, then turns into a bar during the evening. I loved the dark aesthetic, with the black lace draped tiny lamps at each table and the slightly spooky Halloween vibe. The people working here were incredibly nice and helpful and very eager to serve drinks and make this a fun evening. We came as a pre-dinner cocktail, since I am trying to eat around the city and visit as many establishments as I can. I liked their very themed menu, and their additional Halloween drinks. They had a lot of very creative types of infused liquors to try, ranging from candy infused to meat infused alcohols. But we went for the very standard espresso martini (since we are trying them at as many places as possible) and a very tropical martini. The espresso one was good, not quite at the top of my list, but I am a very big fan of Dessert Oasis, which is right above this bar and I am told shares owners. The tropical one, called For My Fans, was excellent. I would get that one again. This seems like a fun place to go, especially with friends, for quick a drink and to try new flavors.

Big, juicy, and piled with smothered mushrooms plus all the classic burger fixins'. It came with house-made chips seasoned with Cajun and they were SO good. Flavorful, a little kick, but not overpowering. My kids both got Cajun-seasoned fries with their meals and they weren't spicy at all, just really good flavor. One had the cheeseburger (which was huge for a kids meal) and the other had mac & cheese. The mac was good, just not my favorite thing on the table -- but that might just be me being picky. My husband ordered the pepperoni and hot honey flatbread and that was a sleeper hit. The sweet heat combo was perfect. Service was great. Drinks stayed filled, food came out in a good rhythm, and we never felt ignored. The vibe inside is what I'd call an upscale diner. Cloth napkins, nice lighting, clean, comfortable. You could do a casual date night or bring your kids like we did and feel fine either way. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the pricing. $17 for a burger without fries feels a little steep, and adding fries for $3 extra adds up fast. Kids meals at $8 felt fair though. They do have happy hour every day, which is a nice touch.
