The inside is nicely decorated, but slightly brighter than you would expect from a bar and the music was too loud at times. We were there for just a light snack and some drinks. For drinks, we got the Ausmopolitan and the Beelzepunsch. For food, the two of us split the Cold Mezze Trio. Both the drinks were good, but they didn't stand out compared to other cocktail bars I've tried in the area. The Mezze Trio was great and came with a good amount of variety. Came in on a random sunday for a snack and a drink w some friends. It was by reservation only however they had a rooftop terrace table open for a party of 3. Seating on the terrace was our door furniture which was very low to the ground, uncomfortable to sit on to try and eat, waitresses were also struggling to set things down on the tables since they were extremely low. Cute place to grab a drink and food if you sat inside... highly recommend reservations although a few years ago you could walk in and find a spot no problem so I was unaware it's now mainly reservations. All jokes aside, the atmosphere and drinks available here are top notch. They are $18 each so not cheap, but not an arm and a leg. I tried two off their menu- the Strawberry Kiwi Soda and DMC Old Fashioned. The soda was one of the best cocktails I've ever had, and the Old Fashioned was smooth as well. I'm still not a fan of them (since they are strong), so probably won't ever order one ever again. I assumed the extra ingredients/mixers would make an impact, but it wasn't noticeable. My wife and I enjoyed our time at Devil May Care. We went to see live jazz there. It's amazing to listen to soothing music while also enjoying the ambience, good and drinks. Alright, Devil May Care. You earned a 5th star from me. We just spent three nights in ATX for a girls trip - and we ate and drank our way through the city. But one of my top favorite bites was the "Cold Mezze Trio" from Devil May Care... and paired with the MOST PERFECT PITA. How on Earth do y'all make it? It's so fluffy and dressed in-I believe to be- herbed olive oil. The Mezze Trio ($25) features a small serving of herb labneh, hummus, pistachio whipped feta (perhaps better than ABA), crudités, lavash, and that yummy pita. If you want a speakeasy vibe with a slightly older crowd, live music if you're lucky (pianoman singing covers or cumbia band for example), and savory Mediterranean bites, do DMC. Great juiciness, textures, and use of herbs and garnishes. The lamb lollipops were served with a salsa verde, but honestly, the lamb was so well cooked you really don't need sauce. The falafel was served with a muhammara and YUM. For a table of two, I'd suggest serving 4 lollipops. I understand the "odd number" rule, but it was kind of hard to share the third lollipop between two, when the lollipops are small to begin with. Not quite sure why female servers seem to have a mandatory dress code of short and tight black dresses (reminds me of Posh Spice lol)...In fact, it felt awkward watching the majority of them uncomfortably bend down with their heels to serve us our meals and simply pour water in our glasses. Devil May Care turns into Devil May Christmas during the holiday season of the year and the decor and the drinks that come with it are top notch. Service was great, despite how busy the night was and we rarely had to wait very long for anything. This might have a chance because it's not really going for a traditional "restaurant" vibe but more of a cocktail joint that serves food til 10 and turns into a club at that point.
