Have been searching for a good NY Pizza for a long time. After reading an article in the local paper that mentioned Devil's Pizzeria (Indy: https://indyweek.com/food-and-drink/40-a-day-in-durham-20-years-later/) we decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did! We enjoyed our pizza and have been back many times since December 2024. The Cauliflower Pizza is just as good as the regular pizza. We enjoy the Italian Chicken Cauliflower Pizza (fresh tomatoes instead of sauce) with fresh mozzarella and basil. Devil's Pizzeria has so many options that cater to an individual's food intolerances and preferences. The pizza is consistently excellent with a thin crispy crust in the NY style. Only one complaint: the sign outside the shop is not easily recognizable as a Pizza place (the big sign says "Pasta and Wings"). We drove by here so many times without knowing it was there until reading about it in Indy. Many of our friends also didn't know it was a pizza place until we mentioned it. read more

It was Labor Day weekend. We were out on a getaway. Most businesses were closed for the Holiday; So we went on yelp to find a place to eat. Devils Pizza sounded good and we decided to try it out. Very small place not much sitting areas and it was hot inside even with the air on. We sat outside it was hot outside too almost 100 degrees but there was air moving. We ordered a small cheese pizza and some wings. Waited maybe 20 minutes for our food. But it was worth the wait. Everything tasted great! I would definitely go back if I lived there and got it to go. This pizza was honestly not sinfully delicious. Ordered in around a week ago and the pizza we got was really hard and dry. Usually a white pizza is very oily because of the cheese but this pizza was so so dry and not very flavorful. There wasn't even a lot of cheese or sauce on it. You could tell it wasn't very fresh and I was greatly disappointed. The mozzarella sticks we also got were not that great, and the marinara sauce that it came with was too watery and bland. Go-to Ravioli place. First time they switched my Alfredo Ravioli with the Mozzarella (red sauce) and I absolutely loved it. Have been getting that since. Since then have been able to try both. Would recommend the red sauce over the Alfredo option. A huge plus is the garlic knots which taste great. read more

So glad we decided to try this restaurant. We were in the area for an appointment and decided to stop in and try it. This visit we had the NY style pizza and it did not disappoint. Although we live 1 hr and 15 min away, we will visit this destination monthly. The staff were helpful and friendly!! The ambiance is what I would have wanted/expected for this style pizza place. Remember....the best secret destinations in town are those that are filled with staff who care about what they do....making great food (homemade marinara is not to be missed) and making sure you have a great experience. OMG! They have a robust variety of vegan pizza options. They have both vegan cheese and vegan meat options. While I'm not a fan of daiya cheese, it works on their pizzas. The crust is perfect with just the right crunch. We got a vegan pizza with veggies and the next time we will try a veggie and meat option. We will be back. read more

So sad because the food has amazing potential. However, I ordered from Yelp and Grubhub and by the time I got my food the pizza was upside and trashed. The food was cold, freezing, and it's 80 degrees outside. I don't even think The pizza was cooked all the way because it was so cold. The cheesy bread looked like it had been refrigerated. The thing about the garlic cheese bread was even though it was cold it tasted good. I can only imagine hot. If the restaurant is going to offer delivery than they should keep the food warm or not give par standard food to the drivers. I don't know if it was the restaurant or the drivers fault but I wanted 30+ dollars on crap that I couldn't eat. I'm posting pics of what I got. This was always my go to spot for everything from pizza, wings, and to build your own pasta. I don't know if they have a new manager or new cook but the quality has tumbled tremendously. These pre cooked, hard as a brick shrimp are now what they call fresh jumbo shrimp. The owner was kind and friendly! I also used the 10% off Yelp coupon The Meat Lovers pizza here is seriously the best I've had! It is LOADED, and so so good. I also haven't seen round beef pepperoni slices (usually they're bits) or thin rectangular turkey bacon slices on halal Meat Lovers pizza, but these were amazing and probably what made this pizza better than others I've had. It was very reasonably priced for how much food it is! I was tempted by a lot of awesome sounding menu items like pizza fries or boneless wings! I'll have to come back for those! It's not hard to find vegan pizza options, but it is hard to find them on pizza this good without paying an arm and a leg! Pizza lives or dies by the dough and the sauce and Devi's Pizzeria has the best in Durham! NY style pizza soooo good you'd think you were in Brooklyn or Midtown!! We also ordered a Stromboli that knocked my socks off. We wanted beer with dinner, so we walked down to Flying Bull and they delivered our food there!! Ok 1st know they don't deliver they use door dash, we order our meal from them while staying a motel in Durham. Door dash got our food to us well part of it, 2 slices of cheese cake were missing the door dash driver blamed the restaurant then the restaurant blamed the driver. Bottom line I paid $9 for cheesecake and never got it. I paid the restaurant so it their responsibility to make good on this.
