Dr Kahn was very thorough and articulate in explaining what the procedure would entail. He was also able to explain what had gone wrong with the first procedure performed by the other doctor. The office staff was very efficient in the scheduling process and Carmella was exceptionally helpful in regards to my questions about insurance coverage. The actual root canal, while not pleasant, was pain free and over in an hour. I did have trouble initially in getting an appointment but I understand now that was likely a result of the answering service/undelivered message. I'm glad that I followed up and was able to get in for a consultation. I would highly recommend Dr. Kahn to those in need of a root canal or other endodontic treatment.

It turned out, as a good dentist told me, that he created a false/fake root, the cause of the pain, which destroyed the tooth pretty quickly. I believe I interacted with 3 young women out front and an assistant in the back. No wait at all. Following plain films and CT, Dr. Palermo reviewed them with me and conducted an exam. Relieved to find that it seemed to be an old piece of bone from a prior extraction or bone graft that was finally working its way out after many years and no need for a root canal (Yay!). Very easy and professional manner. He explained it all and gave me advice on what to expect and what to do if it didn't resolve in several weeks. Hope I don't have to return, but feel I have found "my" endodontists should I ever need one in the future. Can't recommend this office highly enough.

After reading my three-star review, Dr. Ardalan reached out to me in a sincere desire to address my concerns and to improve his services. Since then, we have exchanged several e- mails. Most impressively, Dr. Ardalan has made changes to his practice based on those aspects of my treatment that were less than ideal -- the Wave treatment, his dental assistant, and my extended and painful recovery. As examples, my Wave assistant is no longer working at his office, and he plans to create unique follow up instructions for patients with severe abscesses, like mine, given the possibility of significant pain and longer recovery time. As with the previous review, I was very happy with Dr. Ardalan's treatment before and during the root canal procedure. He was professional, skilled, kind, and let me know what he was doing before and during the root canal. His office was very attractive and his front office staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. I sincerely appreciated Dr. Ardalan's willing ness to squeeze me in on a holiday week and his responsiveness to my calls to his emergency phone line. Most of all, I am impressed with Dr. Ardalan's willingness to reach out to me in his desire to better understand what went "wrong" during my treatment, to learn from it, and to improve upon it.
