I am really impressed with this florist. We were stuck in the hospital and did not get home for a couple days. In addition, the road to our house was being repaved, making it very difficult to reach us. Today they delivered the arrangement, and they look fresh and beautiful. Devonwoods made a difficult situation a lot less stressful. My sister and I were there less than half an hour about three weeks prior to the event. I called the week of to confirm and they called the day of to notify me of the delivery. That was pretty much our only contact with them. Which was perfect for us! We ordered six arrangements for my mom's memorial service and they were absolutely gorgeous. Purple and white. Small but they had some height to them so they looked a little larger. See the photo! I can't wait to see our wedding photos because Elaine did a fabulous job with our wedding florals! Before we booked with her, she spent almost an hour with us in person to figure out colors and details. She was so thorough. Day of the wedding, she even made two deliveries because we needed our bouquets for photos earlier but our ceremony was later and she didn't want our arch florals to wither. Went here 9am to pick up flowers for valentines and they had the door locks. Waited 10 minutes and can hear the person working inside but cared less to open the door. Bought flowers here before and was thinking they would appreciate repeat business. Called them after I left to ask if I could get flowers today and they said they are open now and didn't even apologize when I said I was there literally 2 minutes before. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with the Valentine's Day arrangement they made for me. I had originally ordered from another florist but when I got there, the flowers looked so sad. So I canceled my order and I frantically called around to every well reviewed florist in the area, till luckily I found Devonwoods. Like every other place I called before asking for flowers on the eve of Valentine's Day, they told me no...but when I pleaded my case, they understood my predicament and they agreed to make me the very specific arrangement I wanted. It was a Valentines Day miracle! This is probably the 200th time I've gotten my partner flowers. I've been to every kind of florist from California to Istanbul, Reno to Lima, and I'm not exaggerating, this was the first time flowers have ever made me gasp. I was expecting amazing work but this was beyond that. The attention to detail, the quality of the flowers and the artistry of the florist was all immediately evident. My husband found Devonwoods when we moved to Reno 6 years ago. I owned a flower shop in NJ for 40 years, so I have quite a bit of expertise in fine florals. Frank is very fond of the owner and she always takes special care of his orders. For our wedding anniversary, Frank asked for wrapped flowers and requested that she select varieties that she would choose for herself. Always trust your local florist to make the best selections for you! I still love to arrange flowers, so wrapped bouquets are perfect for me. The picture I attached is the second time I arranged the flowers after 4 days. I recut all the greenery and flowers and arranged in fresh water with floral preservative. Look how gorgeous the blooms are after four days! If you recut your flowers every 3-4 days, they will last quite awhile. Of course, the freshest flowers and greenery are key to long lasting arrangements. Devonwoods has always sent me top quality flowers/greenery-they are exquisitely packaged and finished with pretty chiffon ribbon. It's a little place right on the outside corner of the plaza. The service, though limitedly applicable to myself, was very good! The store itself is also cute. I ordered the deluxe Radiant in Red arrangement for my daughter's birthday and it was delivered on time as requested. She loves it and sent me a pictures. The arrangement is not supposed to have leaves as pictured on the website but it was made with leaves added. It is beautiful and as my daughter said "lots of roses & it's gorgeous." The deluxe arrangement said that flowers are added and I was not disappointed compared to other florists. There's actually more flowers to it. I'm happy & satisfied with my order. Most beautiful flowers in town. My go to for all things floral. However I was quite disappointed twice recently. The owner is dismissive and rude to customers. The first time I noticed I was purchasing an arrangement for a funeral. It was beautiful. Also over $150. Two of the roses were not looking their best. I asked her to swap those two out as they were browning. She rolled her eyes and said if it wasn't for a funeral she wouldn't do it. This is after years of being a repeat customer. The second time my daughter went in to buy me flowers for my birthday. The owner was very rude to her acting like she couldn't afford flowers in this store. A friend of mine was in the store at this time. She called me and said "the owner of Devonwoods was so rude to your daughter when she was buying your flowers." Unfortunately, Family Florist does not exists anymore :( and when I called Family Florist to do an order for me, I got another person on the other line. His name was Riz. Riz told me the bad news and told me he would like to do business with me and give him a shot. Anyways I told him I was going to do a huge order of two bouquets which were really nic. Riz gave me the corporate flower discount which was very nice and he did not have to do that. He also opened the store during very late hours such as 9:30pm and told me how to put the flowers in the car which was really nice. I was really impressed about the quality of flowers and it was awesome. I was impressed how far he go for my me. I think George talked highly about me or something and my girls loved the flowers and were shocked about it. I do not have pictures, but there are always next time. read more

My mom ordered an arrangement for me for my birthday. She lives out of state, so just called them with a price point and description of something "pretty and fall". We were not disappointed! The arrangement was beautiful - gorgeous colors, fresh flowers, unique details. Even the card was special...a real card with gorgeous font, ribbon and sticker on the envelope. The staff even called to see if I wanted to pick it up or have it delivered at home or work - and dropped it off at end of day so it would be freshest when I got home. Pretty awkward vibes. I called an orange rose a tulip and the cashier felt very happy to correct me. I was told the flower I wanted was already sold - but then was still given one from the lot? I asked if they could add it to the pre-made bouquet and they made it seem like my request was tedious and a lot to ask for. No one smiled unless they were gloating in my ignorance of flowers. The lady that found my request unreasonable scanned my card and started working on the guy behind me before even handing me my receipt. I had this for two stars but after re-reading this you're getting one. I will buy flowers somewhere else next year. read more

I called Devonwoods yesterday for a birthday flower delivery for today and unfortunately they had no more delivery spots available (it is really close to Mother's Day). So, I scheduled for the next day and made it a belated birthday bouquet instead. I got a call from my friend that the flowers actually were delivered today with a beautifully handwritten card! However, from Order #1 in 2024, Bumblebee Blooms has nailed every order we've placed. On top of a fun, creative, and talented staff (we often laugh on our calls), the arrangements are tailored to each occasion and they take extra care to work with each situation. For example, when my colleague lost her beloved pet, I placed an order and inquired if we could select flowers that were non-toxic to her cats. There was no hesitation to accommodate and when I saw the receipt, my request was actually noted on the order so there would be no errors. That attention to detail extends to the energy and care they put into each arrangement. I absolutely love working with the staff and they've become one of my favorite florists of all-time. Deliveries arrive on the dates they're promised and the recipients comment on the beauty of the arrangements.
