Stopped by the Devoted Kiss for breakfast while on vacation and I will say it was hands down the best breakfast I have had. I got the biscuits and gravy and there's a reason it says "while siupplies last"...this dish will go fast. I got a side of bacon as well and cooked to perfection. My girlfriend got the smoked salmon omlette and she absolutely loved it. We both got coffee drinks and tasted amazing. Food is great, but a staff member was rude and demeaning. I'm the easiest guy to please, was loving the food there. Today was my third and last time in. Previously, I walked in with friends and was told to immediately grab a seat anywhere, so we sat at the counter. Decided today to go in around 9:20 am for breakfast, I walked in like before with no one in the front waiting to be seated, it was just myself. I proceded to the back and sat at a table for two. An older woman with an agitated look on her face (possibly the manager) asked if I had waited to be seated. I said I'm sorry I didn't, and explained the two times previously was told to just grab a seat, so I assumed that was the case. I apologized and sat down. People were leaving and I noticed a table in the corner I wanted to sit at because the table I was at was actually in the way of everyone walking by, so I kindly ask if I could move to that table. She glared at me and said "it's much easier to sit four people at that table than one!!" WTF!! They weren't busy!!! there was no one waiting to be seated and two tables were empty, what's the problem?? I just didn't wanna be in the way! I stood there perplexed, then I decided to leave. It's too bad, I previously praised this cafe to all of our friends, that won't be happening anymore. You lost what would have been a loyal and frequent patron because of a rude staffer. read more

Eggs Benedict is the way to go! Cooked perfectly and sauce was good. Everyone liked their food, whether breakfast or lunch. Very tiny restaurant though and had to wait quite a while for a table at lunch time. A bustling place on Saturday morning. We arrived at 9 am and were seated at 9:45. Plan accordingly, it's worth the wait. We were fortunate enough to score a table waterside, and as we water loving folk were celebrating an anniversary, absolutely worth the wait. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, an absolutely to die for dish, and I ordered the Eggs Benedict, a more delicious concoction has never been created. We went overboard and also ordered the cinnamon roll - remember, anniversary I am going to try to recreate that particular item. Biting in to this treat reminded me of being at my grandparents home and I have a roll recipe that tastes just like it, except this piece of confectionery was topped by cream cheese frosting, yum. Our server was a charming young lady who graciously allowed us some extra time to order as we had never been there before. While that was our first visit, it will in no way be our last visit. I love grabbing brunch here, especially when it is sunny because then you can eat on the balcony that over looks the water. It is usually quite so it is a nice place to relax and catch up with friends. I've gotten a variety of sandwiches and breakfast items from here and have liked them all. I ate here with my girlfriend and it was the service that gives it a 2 star review. We were seated right away despite their level of busy, which was amazing. We took an extra moment with the menu... I'm wondering if this made our server upset. After ordering we waited 50 minutes, watching other people get seated, eat, and leave. Our server did not check on us or return any eye contact. Finally a different server saw us looking around and checked on us. She said she'd go check on our food. Five minutes later our server brought us our cold breakfasts. It was really disappointing because I've heard great things about it. I think the food would have been great if it had been served to us when it was ready. read more

Loved the Smoked Salmon Bagel ($10.95). It has dill, red onion & caper cream cheese spread over a whole wheat bagel topped with WARM Smoked Atlantic King Salmon and parmesan cheese. Love how they warm the salmon up. Normally other places serves it cold, I really like it warmed up. It's also served with a side of fresh cut morning potatoes. I just hold the red onion since I'm not a fan of them. I am not a fan of Smoked Salmon bagels, so for me to say it's delicious, says something! We also tried the Smoked Salmon Benedict ($12.95) and that was good too but hands down the Smoked Salmon Bagel is Yummy! Their hot chocolate is just ok. :) read more

I would just like to say that I think that you can feel the appreciation of an establishment by the "niceties", an always full cup of coffee, happy smiling wait staff, and the even smaller things like, not scrimping on the little things........ like toilet tissue......... It was not "tissue" at all..... it was soft , fluffy, and all around dream like.......I am a fan now and forever...... The Devoted Kiss had been recommended to us for a brunch. We went in with high expectations. The food and staff lived up to our expectations. The food was great. Had a takeout brunch from Devoted Kiss Cafe, and it was outstanding! All of the different dishes; the healthy omelette, the croissant sandwich, and my eggs Benedict were all beautifully constructed. My Benedict was rich and luscious and delightful. The ham was good quality, and the side of potatoes was seasoned perfectly, with a subtle level of flavor from herbs. Devoted Kiss has the best breakfast in Gig Harbor. Their eggs benedict and corned beef hash are our favorites. If you love avocado, ask for some to be put on top of your meal. Also their coffee is awesome too ... Cutters Point I think. Their lattes are awesome too. Today there was a mixup in our order as we intended to order two entrees for lunch but received three. When we inquired, they apologized, gave us the extra salad AND gave us our money back. Who knows, the mixup could have been on our side, but this shows that they go the extra mile for customer service. read more

The pulled pork breakfast burrito is breakfast perfection. It had avocado, egg, pulled pork, and I'm not sure what else bit whatever it was it was good. I was also impressed with the potatoes that came along with the dish. Often potatoes are a bland afterthought, but here they were will seasoned and delicious. Was feeling brunchy and my friend had told me about this place a long time ago. It was a sunny Sunday and I wanted to sit outside at a small quaint place and since I was stag I didn't want to go to some busy place on the waterfront, I'm from Tacoma and devoted kiss got enough good reviews. There was no parking so I had to park a block away on a neighborhood street but that was ok it was a nice day, as stated. When I arrived there were 3 or 4 groups of people waiting outside and when I walked in to get on the list there was no one at the counter to put my name down so I waited, when the man - who seemed in control, he might have been the manager or owner, came he put a party of 3 on the list before me even though I was waiting first but thats no big. When I asked how long to sit for 1 he said probably 40 minutes and there was no outside seating I had already driven 15 minutes and crossed the bridge so I wasn't going to head back to UP for a $6 bridge toll and no brunch. he said he might be able to sit me at the counter though so I waited outside. Not even 5 minutes later he came out and there was a chair for me at the counter in between two other couples. I would say there were 6 seats total for counter seating. Worked out for me! I ordered a cappuccino and she did the job gloriously. The froth was great, and it was all so tasty. I ordered the eggs Benedict with tomato and spinach and if you've seen my previous reviews of eateries you would know eggs Benny are a big deal to me. There's a certain flavor I am looking for and sometimes its a huuuggee fail. Ordering it is always a risk but I just love it so damn much! It came with sliced red potatoes. The plating was very appealing. Honestly when I saw the Benedict sauce I was like crap this doesn't look good! But it was so so good! I looveeed it.. It looked too pale and like it was probably washed out by flour and water and not flavor but it was seriously delicious. I'm glad I took the risk! One thing, I wish there were more potatoes but thats just me being gluttonous bexzuse I ate both halves of the Benedict plus all of the potatoes and those combined with the cap I'm sure is more than what 1 person should have for a meal serving. Everyone around me foods looked good too.. A chopped salad, salmon omlette and two other things I can't remember. My food came out incredibly fast. And tasted good. I was seated way sooner than expected. 5 out of 5 for sure! I can't wait to go back again and try something else. Had a great breakfast there this morning. It It was a busy morning for them because all the ladies in Gig Harbor (and from other locales - like me) were there buying their Ladies Night Out passes. Daughter got an egg white veggie burrito she said was spicey and great. I got the Mediterranean quiche with a crust of hashbrowns which is gluten-free. My personal taste would've been a little bit more cheese in it and I added a little bit of salt. it was good and I would get it again l; it had sun-dried tomatoes in it. This is a slight detour we took on our way up to Olympic National Park from Seattle. I was quite glad I did, because the food was good and the view of Mt. Rainier was stunning, with the bay in the foreground. Parking was easy, either on the road, or in an adjacent lot. The restaurant was not too crowded on a Friday around 10am, so that was nice. I ordered a pulled pork burrito, which came with potatoes. It was quite good, and the burrito was slightly crispy on the outside from the grill, which was a nice touch. The pulled pork portions were impressive, but I felt that it was slightly dry. That being said, the condiments inside were quite tasty. Overall a solid dish. My friend ordered the granola with fruit and yogurt. He loved his item. We were in-and-out without any problems. Friendly service. read more

There must be lower standards for Gig Harbor than the mainland..... Another place I can't believe all the high reviews for. We went on what was possibly the last nice day you could sit on the deck (1st weekend of Oct). We were very disappointed that they were not serving breakfast at 1:30 on a Sunday (owner take note - EVERY table around us asked to order breakfast). We ended up ordering the Italian club panini (good) and the grilled cheese (several different cheeses on it!). The side was pretzel chips (from Costco) and a dollop of hummus - so weird and not good......just stick with regular ol' potato chips..... Service was good but I don't see ever coming back.............. read more

This is in response to the two star review by Jennifer G. on 6/21/2020. I was in line behind Jennifer and heard the conversation. It should be noted that it was a Father's Day which is always a busy time. The reason for taking reservations? Due to Covid-19, they can't have people crowding around and they were full. Jennifer could have called before coming over or she could have placed a takeout order and waited. It was a beautiful day to be near the water. The server was not impolite but very sorry that no table was available. Now, on to my experience. I called in the morning to place my order. When I arrived, my server quickly completed my order and I was on my way home. The food was hot, cooked properly, and delicious. I had the Devos Favorite with a perfect over medium egg, hubby had the biscuits and gravy with his favorite over easy eggs, son #1 had the banana bread French toast, and son #2 had the eggs Benedict with perfect poached eggs and ham. What a wonderful lunch time! It was me, my husband, and my best friend -- we arrived to the restaurant around 1:30 PM (we noticed how crowded the cafe was and were worried we would have a long wait but were seated immediately outside on the deck). I enjoyed the view but not the wet deck, table, and chairs. There was also bird poo on the chair's armrest. (Some prior cleaning would have been nice). Other than that, the meal was tasty. My husband ordered the Reuben sandwich and breakfast burrito, I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict, and my friend ordered the Cuban panini. I did not try my husband's nor my friend's meal, but they did tell me that it was delicious. So far, the smoked salmon Benedict is the best I've had in Pierce/King county. I will definitely return just for the salmon Benedict! On a side note, while hanging out on the deck, we saw a couple of cute seals swimming by and hopping on the lower deck.
