I saw rat droppings and Haven was the only one that responded to me after contacting multiple pest control companies. He was kind enough to stop by right away. He was so kind, helpful and offered me a lot of reassurance. He did an inspection and confirmed that there was no infestation. He did this all for free and advised me to contact him if I saw any droppings again. Haven was literally a life saver, he is so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Very disappointed with the "free inspection" I received from a Tech named Hamilton . The technician came out, took a very quick look around, and said he needed to see the actual bugs to determine whether we had termites. That was the extent of the inspection. I was expecting a more thorough evaluation of the home and possible signs of termite activity, especially from a professional company. Instead, it felt rushed and unhelpful. If the inspection depends on customers catching and saving bugs beforehand, that should probably be explained when booking the appointment. Unfortunately, this experience did not leave me feeling confident in their service. read more

Moved into an apartment I was unaware has a roach infestation. Our apartment uses this company as their pest control. The worker showed up and seemed like he did not want to be there. Was not very helpful with my questions. Felt like I was just being rushed out of my apartment. I accidentally left a plastic bag under the sink instead of just moving it he just sprayed all over it. I understand instructions state to move everything but it was an accident. It could've very easily been moved by him so he can spray in the correct places. We saw roaches that night, the problem never went away. I am in discussion with property manager regarding hiring a different pest control company. read more

Contacted First American home warranty to service the ants that keep going into my home. I was connected with Dewey pest control. A couple days later I received a call from their office to schedule my treatment and answer any questions I had. Nice ladies. My tech was Dara, he called me the day before and asked me more details about the issue I was having. He answered any questions I had as well. And let me know he'd by at my home the next day. The next day comes and Dara came right on time, I showed him around the home. And he treated all the places I asked him to. He even gave me advice and best practices to keep the ants and any other bugs out. He laid out some ant bait in the areas he believes there may be ants in the future. I highly recommend Dewey and especially Dara, if they allow you to request him. There is huge value with the company and with him. I use Dewey for multiple locations. They are reliable, efficient and very easy to work with. If there's a problematic situation they are solid with finding a solution. My Boss Use's Dewey for his property. I say they got it together. The Receptionist are all friendly and if they can't answer your questions they take your # and they actually call you back. I continue to really like their service and it's mostly because of the technician that comes to our house. His name is Charles and he always calls me prior to coming and is very polite. We had issue with ant infestation and he was very patient with us and really helped us through. He didn't just want us to go all out and use chemicals but suggested other measures as well. These guys claimed to have conducted an indoor inspection while we were closed for the covid shutdown and sent us a bill. Numerous phone calls and unreturned messages later they sent us to collection. They simply fail at basic business and apparently want to steal too. They won't be getting paid but they did get a 1 star review, along with us using someone else for our monthly service. Way to be smart guys. read more

UPDATED REPLY 5/27: I understand what "every other month" means. I never questioned that. Your postcard that was sent, stating the increase, that could have been easily missed was sent without a 30 day notice of a price increase. A week and a half to two weeks to be exact. I understand prices have gone up but to go from $65 a every month then say that you can come every other month but it will be more, doesn't make sense to me. Additionally, per the contract, I don't see where you are able to increase prices. Can you please point that out? Long time client since 2017. Has always had issues when scheduling since BEFORE COVID. Now they decided to hike prices from $48 to $65 with a week and a half notice. To cancel a contract, you must give 30 day notice. So basically, they dont give you the common courtesy that they ask for. Called today to speak about a more "economical" path which is every other month. Solidad explained it wont be $65 every month but now $78 every other month? So basically, if you are a client with Dewey you know their products only work about 25-35 days on average. So I will have to wait another month and pay more for service? Makes no sense. Going to leave to check out the competitor. read more

We have been using this company for the 12 years I have lived in my apartment. Alvin was always helpful, though day of, we wpuld need to remind/ask for traps/treatments despite having asked for these things during scheduling. Unfortunately, our recent experience with Paul was TERRIBLE. First, we called and NEVER received a call back (2xs). Second, the day of the scheduled appointment, we called to confirm treatment (fogger, traps, gel/spray), covered/moved appliances, and made plans to work out of the house for the day. Later that afternoon, we were notified that Paul did not use the fogger and did not leave any traps (basically came in and put gel in a couple corners and did a spray in bedroom). We were IRATE, as we had asked for and confirmed the treatment multiple times. This place is a joke and will only do the bare minimum. Also- if your looking for help with a termite problem, be warned- appointments are about a month out- and that is just for an evaluation NOT a treatment. read more

Seriously, this dude goes out of his way to offer suggestions and be helpful, has a contagious smile and is so damn friendly you can't help but be in a better mood after speaking with him. Discovered a wasp nest at the top of my laundry room and Dewey sent an exterminator out within 20 mins. The exterminator sprayed and knocked it down immediately and didn't even want to charge me ! Super professional business! First time we had house fumigated for termites. Lorraine, behind the scenes , was so pleasant and helpful on the phone to get us all set up! Mike was amazing, following all Covid 19 safety protocols, as he met with us in our back yard at our table to explain everything fully, including showing us in detail how to use the bags to secure food. Mike proactively shared so much and answered all of our questions. On the day of fumigation, the lead gentleman, "Socorro" helped us ensure all was ready including helping with finishing opening drawers and answering additional questions. He made us feel as comfortable and confident as possible as we, as many others are, were somewhat apprehensive in this process, especially when one is leaving their home for a few days! We asked a favor regarding the rolling of our recycle bin back into the driveway after pick up and they said " no problem". We really appreciated that so much. Upon our return, everything was clean and intact. We noticed that we had ants in the house the day after, and upon contacting Mike, he shared that ants and termites are enemies and this can happen i.e. the ants could smell the dead termites and were coming for a "feast". He delivered a special item to help with the ants which was greatly appreciated. He also explained that the light " smell" of " dirt" in some areas inside our home could be the secondary agent that is applied. Fans and open windows rectified this small concern. So just want to update this review here on October 2, 2019. This is the first summer that went by in the five years I have lived here, where for the first time, since having Dewey's service I have had no issues in my home. More importantly I have such great service from Jovan. He is always so polite, punctual, gives honest advice, and is there to help me anytime. I'm so grateful for all his help and support. Not only does Dewey service your needs and take care of any issues, they truly have such wonderful employees that are very pleasant to work with and more then happy to help. I hate bugs, I really do, and I especially can do without ants, ants that come marching in every summer, year after year. These past 8 months I have had service with Dewey after I could not get rid of my summer 2018 ant problem (another exterminator company couldn't figure it out after multiple trips). But Dewey was happy to try and get to the bottom of things. Richard the branch manager put me at ease and got me the best help, by a gentleman named Alvin. I may or may not see ants this summer coming up, but that's okay because I am confident Alvin will help take care of us. I know you see many reviews here about Alvin and the Dewey Pest Control control team, like they are too good to be true, (may be they are fake reviews). But it's all real!!! I will only write a review if it's well deserved & I waited months to be sure and write this one. Absolute excellent service. When I called, the phone was answered quickly. Carlos Medina asked some questions so that he could give me a estimate. The technician, Sam Santilliano came the next day exactly on time. Both Carlos and Sam were bright, informative, and clearly experts. I have pets, so Sam was very clear on keeping them inside for an hour or so. He even removed a wasps nest at no charge! Their fee was much less than I anticipated. We love Carl! Living at my dad's house, we started with cockroaches, then mouse, rats, and termites. I grew up at this house and do not remember having any of these there. Now, I'm living with a house full of boys and all these pests show up. Carl has been amazing in every way! He is so knowledgeable about pests my husband swears he went to pest school.
