NEVER AGAIN!!! I called Western Exterminator Company because they were recommended to me by a friend. I was hearing noises in my attic. I requested a rodent service. The initial visit was fine on July 15, 2020 but it was visits and contact afterwards that were awful! On my initial visit, traps were set in my attic and underneath my house. After a few days, I called customer service because no one had contacted me to come and check the traps. Customer Service had no record of my initial visit. I tried repeatedly to contact my service person-for days he never responded. I continued to call Customer Service-no one could reach them and My paperwork couldn't be found. HORRIBLE! Finally I had two guys come out to seal the openings in my house on 7/23/2020. I tried to pay them upon completion. They said they couldn't take payment. I also received a call from the individual who checks the traps. He came to check twice. Now its September 2020, I finally received a bill after declining the work...and they wanted to send my account to collection. Turned out the didn't seal the top plates around the external walls. This left a gap of up to an inch in some places around the entire parameter of my attic. Basically rats and insects can come in through the weep holes at the bottom or the exterior walls, follow the vapor barrier up into the attic, then go down behind the drywall along the top plates. I am now redoing the work I hired them to do. They are too cheap to even give their guys professional air sealing equipment. They just use the cheap cans. i bought a 2 foot spray gun and am to reach the spots they didn't bother with. Very unprofessional. Very unhappy with them. Recommend you do NOT use them as they won't go into the attic to set rat traps further than they can reach from the attic door. They don't air seal the difficult spots. They don't provide lasting results. read more

The technicians that do a monthly service at our home are usually very good. The issue we have is that the service is not responsive. For example, we have called numerous times to get service on the subterranean termite devices on our property, and we have never had a response. My parents have been customers of Western Exterminators for literally decades. They own a few properties and had all their properties serviced by WE. Last week my sister and I noticed termite droppings at Mom's house and I called WE to set up an inspection. A cheerful woman told me someone would call me back. A week went by without a call back so I called again. A different cheerful woman scheduled an appointment in two days between 1pm and 2pm-- because not only am I ft caregiver for Mom, but also work remotely ft. So I have a tight schedule. The night before the appointment I get a text from someone who identifies themselves as the termite inspector and he will be there an hour later than my scheduled appointment, bc "other customers" "sorry". I say I have a scheduled appt, why is that any less important than any other customer? YOUR COMPANY offered that time. He continues to negotiate to come later or another day. I spoke to a representative at WEC today by the name of Joseph. Joseph was very understanding and attentive to my concerns about the incident on 10/31/2022. Joseph was able to pinpoint what actually transpired on that day that left a sour note in my mouth. I was told that somehow I was initially setting an appointment through the Los Angeles WEC office, but somehow during the appointment date I ended up being tied into the Carson WEC office. This in actuality would have chosen a technician from an area not covered by my rental property. He apologized for the mix-up and time wasted. read more

I have had the absolute worst experience here. I booked a termite treatment for subterranean and the job was not completed. I called back that same day to see what happened they apologized and rescheduled the appointment. They have been out Three times and have not went into the backyard to finish the job. I call every day to get this resolved and all they say is they will email the manager. It's been over a month since the initial treatment and I still don't have the job completed. Yet they send me a text that my warranty is expired and it's an additional 400$ for the year. If I could I would give them a zero. They hired Next Generation as sub contractor. They broke almost ever tile while tenting. My roof was perfect before I tented for one window with termites ( they found many more). After the tenting I had to replace my entire tiles part of my roof. I have been using this company for many years now for my monthly pest control service (outdoors). Sal Cervantes is my assigned technician and he's the BEST!!! He always calls me as the month nears it's end to schedule a convenient morning for him to come and spray my yard for fleas, ants and other pests. He also Knicks down the beginnings of any hornet nests and swipes away all the cobwebs from my eaves and behind my facia boards. I used a different company before I switched and the difference is night and day. I think I've only had one ant invasion in my kitchen in all the years I've had Sal and Western and even then, he was quick to respond and take care of the problem immediately. I've had to trim my budget as my income has become fixed ... but getting this monthly service is one thing I really must have to ensure each day is a good day. read more

Communication was easy and pleasant. Ixsar arrived on-time and went over the process. Told me where he was going to spray as well as how long we would need to vacate the premises in order for the chemicals to be most effective. Started outside and sprayed around the perimeter of the property. Then before coming inside, he proceeded to put cloth booties for his shoes. Big deal for us since we have hardwood floors throughout. Exterminator visit scheduled between 8am - noon, with the understanding that I would receive a call prior to his arrival. No one ever came and no one contacted me with an explanation or apology. My first call was at 11:15 to confirm that I was scheduled; the CS rep assured me that I was. I called again around 12:15 and was told that "he could be running a little late." I reminded the CS that the appointment window was 8-12 and that I expected that someone would contact me if there was a problem. I was told that the provider wasn't answering his phone but they would try to have someone get back to me. Hearing nothing by 1 I called again. The CS still had no definitive information nor was there anyone in that office available to provide it. She did say that she was emailing "the district office" and that someone there would contact me or make sure that the exterminator did. I canceled the contract at 2 since I still hadn't heard from anyone. It took hours to clear out the cabinets and closets for this appointment, plus the inconvenience. Signed up for mosquito service in March, I signed a contract for $150.00 initial charge and 55.00 a month , but since I was a new customer its 25.00 off. After the guy came, I was charged the 150.00. So I called and asked why I didnt get the new customer special for $125.00, the female apologized and assured me I would be credited on my next bill. Come April, I called ahead of time to schedule my next treatment and remind them of my $25.00 credit..again I was assured Guy comes spray...check my account I was charged $85.00 instead of $55.00 and really it should've been $25 with the credit ..Now I've been overcharged and still not credited. I'm so pissed..At this point it was easier to just get bit by mosquitoes wtf! Update..4 hours later, they are not answering my questions as to why I was overcharged and when I ask to speak to billing department, they gave me the number to the call center. As I had home brewing equipment in my shed that I had concerns about being fumigated(for drywood termites), I asked that the shed not be done. Juan said, the contents of the shed would be fine. Again I decided to not have the shed done, just the house. This communication between us took place via email. The date was picked and the house was tented in the morning. When I came by the house in the evening to look at it, they had tented my shed. When I called Jaun, he was not sure what to say and I found that he was not quick to offer any solutions. When our furnace technician told us that they saw evidence of rodents in our attic, we immediately thought of Western Exterminator because that had done a great job for my brother in law and his wife last year. They were able to get out here to perform an inspection within just a couple of days. The people who have come to work on the house have all been prompt and courteous. We had to have all of the attic insulation extracted, and when the technicians were done, you would hardly know that they had been there. We also hired Western Exterminators to inspect for termites, and they sold us a very reasonable plan for abatement of the two dry wood termite infestations that they found as well as preventative measures for the subterranean termites. Okay, so the obvious is NO ONE enjoys dealing with any type of pests or vermin's in their home. So when I began to see cockroaches in my apartment back on June 3rd, I was not happy (I also have a severe phobia of insects as it is so seeing these massive beasts crawling in my apartment sent me over the edge and in full panic attack mode). Well, my landlord was of no help and did little to nothing at all in taking care of my pest issue. Come July 1st, I come home one night and see a roach the size of my middle finger in my bathroom. Once again, panic attack and wasted a hole can of $34 hair spray on that sucker as I'm sobbing uncontrollably. FAST FORWARD: Slumlord calls Western Exterminator and allegedly they say someone can't come out for another three days. (Again, cue the panic mode). I get the contact info myself and decide to call, and the woman on the phone could sound the desperation in my voice. She says she will do her best to get someone out a day early but couldn't promise anything as they were extremely busy as it was. That day, I come home from work and I see a Western Exterminator card with a phone number on it with the message, 'Call me on my cell -Terry.' I call said number and speak to a man named Terry who I presume showed up at my house to help me out early but I was unfortunately at work, but I truly appreciated the effort on their part. Terry assures me he will come bright and early the next day, early enough so I can meet him there instead of my Slumlord... I wanted to hear the low down "from the horses mouth," so to speak. I meet Terry promptly at 7am (I was staying at a friends house because, well...roaches). He was very thorough in explaining his process and answering any questions I had which believe me, there were a LOT. I asked him if my Slumlord advised him of the root of the problem which was actually the apartment directly below me and he said he had heard nothing of it (SHOCKER). Although he didn't anticipate spraying two apartments that morning, he happily agreed to go in the unit below me and spray there as well which was so amazing to hear. He even made himself available to me via text message with all of my ongoing questions on account of my phobia and being paranoid of seeing any more roaches. Terry's demeanor has been nothing short of professional and kind. He is currently still working on ensuring my apartment is pest free and has agreed to come to my place weekly to spray both units until they are completely gone.
