To summarize, I can't recommend West Coast, and especially Allen Ward enough! An honest company, ran by honest folks. Grab your popcorn, here is my story...just bought a 1905 house, the termite inspection from another company came back saying the house was riddled with termites, with a drawing showing 10+ spots where they were active, a $2k estimate for tenting and $4k for timber repair. So, I shopped around! I was a little skeptical about the stellar reviews for West Coast Termite team, but I gave them a call. Initially spoke to the friendly owner Brett who gave me a quick breakdown of their process: the 2 year warranty, what they do if termites are found (they do so much more that my last termite guy at my current house), how they follow up after a year to check for new termites. Allen came out, a super nice guy who is crazy passionate about termites. I walk with Allen as he did his inspection, up in the roof space we found a few spots with old termite droppings, he was very knowledgeable about all the different wood types in my house, and which ones termites like (based on the thickness of timber) and dislike. We could see some timber damage, Allen pointed out that based on the wood type it was surface level damage and the timber was actually in great condition.
