It's been a hot minute since we had Dewey's. The last time I had it was two years ago. With all the new pizza joints opening in the nearby area, we've lost touch with Dewey's. I've always loved them from the moment I first moved here in the early 2000's. My favorite pizza at the time was their Wild Mushroom. So sad that is no longer on the menu. My fiancée and I wanted to revisit. We ordered a small cheese pizza and a medium build your own (red sauce, sausage and mushroom). They did not disappoint. The crust was amazing and their ranch sauce is fire! They added a couple of new items on the menu and I can't wait to come back and try them. Dewey's, you never let me down. read more

My fiancee and I hadn't been to a Dewey's in quite some time, but after participating in the Dewey's Pizza Run to Raise Dough 5k on a Sunday, we decided to get a couple pizzas from this location. A couple slices after the run really influenced our decision. I've gotta say that Dewey's is one of the most consistent pizza chains out there. No matter what location you go to, you'll get the same quality service and product. We got some one 11" Dewey's original and a 13" with red sauce, sausage, and mushrooms to go. They were a little busy for a Sunday but still didn't take long getting our order done. The pizzas came out great and their ranch sauce is addicting for sure. I think we may revisit this location again since it's fairly close to our house. read more

Seated, greeted and welcomed by a young and friendly server who went over the menu with us and told us their popular pizzas and about their customized calzones. When it came time for my beer selection and was very helpful and helped me with my selection. TV's in the building, a bar, booth and table seating options. It was pretty empty but staff was still very attentive. They greeted everyone as soon as that door open and as people were leaving. Even while they were on their obvious breaks. Our salads were good but that pizza was !!!!! One of the better pizzas I have had in a long time. I will definitely be back. read more

The pumpkin flavor was very mild and was a nice combo with the sausage. Their ranch dressing is my FAVORITE of all time and I top all pizza with it. I have bought a tub of their ranch before and need to do so again soon! Nick and I also took Selah and I appreciated that they brought out some grapes and cheese for her to snack on! A somewhat mysterious Yelper--no profile info, no reviews--has advised me that, contrary to the impression admittedly given by my update below, not all Dewey's locations have switched to conveyor ovens. Pretty sure that the staff on duty the day we learned about the conveyor ovens led us to believe that all Dewey's locations had done the same, but that it's apparently not a chain-wide change seems like a relevant detail to get out there. But not relevant enough for a full-blown Yelp update like this one, which Yelp has effectively compelled me to post because a few years back Yelp stupidly precluded users from merely editing their reviews more than a week or two after they are posted. And unfortunately, the Oakley location is indeed one of the locations that uses conveyor ovens. That said, the last pizza we had there, on a slow business day, was really good. Not good enough to make up for a few underbaked duds we've had in recent months, though. read more

One of my must attend and eat at places when I visit Cincinnati. Hailing from the Chicago area, my pizza standards are higher than most. Dewey's fills that void for sure! Them offering a solid gluten free crust really makes it that much better for someone who has a dietary restriction like myself. Our waitress made everything very clear on how they are mindful in the kitchen. My two friends and I really dove in once our food came out. Very little was there for leftovers, but that was fine by us. It was a packed house for a Saturday night after the Xavier game. They have neat text service when your table is ready. We took a nice walk around Oakley Square and enjoyed the nice weather. The staff we all interacted with were excellent. The food was great. Checking the website out, they have some locations close to the Cleveland/Akron area. I won't be missing it too much!! read more

Always delicious and our orders are always correct. Whether we dine in or grab take out, Dewey's is the best in Cincinnati. Their salads are high quality and it's our family's favorite spot to get both the gluten free and regular pizzas. Having a place I can safely get tasty pizza is huge to me as a person with celiac disease. I've never had a reaction from any of my pizzas there so they must be doing a great job avoiding cross contamination. read more

I will be dreaming of this salad for the rest of my life... such a delicious balance of goat cheese, figs, and everything else! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. And the pizza?!! WOW. Best red sauce on a pizza I've ever had. The porky fig and cuban pizza stole the night for me. Talk about two pizzas that held SO much flavor in each and every single bite. And I opted to switch the Gorgonzola cheese to goat cheese in the porky fig and let me just tell you... it did NOT disappoint. We got takeout pizza tonight from Dewey's and it was super good. We got half porky pig (our favorite) and half taco pizza. The porky pig is a must order as it is a touch sweet but also salty. The taco pizza was way better than even I expected. The Fritos on top were still crunchy which was a pleasant surprise. The side of taco sauce was nice and not sweet. When we picked up the pizza the place was booming busy which was good to see. Also very clean and cool inside. I would give Dewey's five stars if the crust was a bit crispier. read more

The pizza here has been amazing for a long time. My review here is for the service. I got a carry out pizza and when I went to pick it up, the person helping me noticed that the banana peppers were on the wrong half of my pizza. It really wasn't a big deal to me, and I let her know that, but she insisted on making it right. Seeing someone go above and beyond to deliver service, especially when everyone is short staffed and stressed a bit, was so refreshing. The extra effort shown has me excited to go back. My family and I love Dewey's pizza! It's our version of "treat" pizza, as it is a more expensive pizza. I was very excited to taste the seasonal pizza, the Yukon Cornelius. We decided to get the half/half with my usual favorite, the Southwest BBQ pizza. I should have taken the time to look at the pizza before I left. When I got home, I was immediately disappointed in the look of the pizza. It barely had any potatoes and there was no drizzle on top of the pizza (the ramekin on the side of pizza box had ranch dressing for the crust). When I tasted the pizza, it had a strange taste and it took me a minute to determine there was WAY too much garlic, not even a sauce, more of a garlic paste. I would not recommend this pizza to anyone, and I am a garlic lover. read more

Every time I've had pizza from them (from many different locations), the toppings are slapped on haphazardly and never consistently cover it. I could get a piece loaded with toppings but my friend might get one that is just mostly dough. It's very sad and frustrating. I like their pizza, so I keep getting it about once or twice a year. These selections include a heavier than average number of vegetarian options. Socrates' Revenge, the Green Lantern, and Ryan's Inferno are some of our family favorites. Pizza dough has a bit of chewiness. Specially options have been thoughtful concocted for maximum flavor. Theses ingredients truly compliment eachother. From salads to pizzas, they sprinkle a generous amount of toppings. Salad dressing taste fresh, and homemade. Dewey's now offers half baked pizzas. This allows patrons to finish baking their pizza at home, for a fresh out of the oven experience. I have yet to try this option. Pizza reheats well in a toaster oven the next day. Prices are on the higher side. A large variety of premium ingredients will do that. That just means that we enjoy Dewey's deliciousness a little less often than we may like. Dewey's is definitely a staple of Cincinnati pizza cuisine! Dewey's is not your typical pizza joint... it is a specialty pizza restaurant with the best flavors, seasoning, and overall taste! The Dewey's I go to is the location in Oakley. Although they aren't currently using dine-in services, the inside is great- equipped with a bar, a giant window to view the chefs throwing the pizza dough, and plenty of seating, it is a great place to take your fam for a family dinner or your friends for a night out. Dewey's has a wide variety of specialty pizzas, but my favorite is definitely the caprice! The caprice has tomatoes, light cheese, and their special white sauce, giving it a healthier, lighter taste. I have been to just three Dewey's and this is my favorite. The food tastes mostly the same across the chains but...I love the crust at Dewey's. I would eat it as breadsticks and desperately hope they make that a thing one day. And this particular Dewey's has a thicker ring of crust than the others. That's what makes this location stand out to me. So if you like crust or specifically Dewey's crust...this place is for you. The first time I came to Dewey's a waiter told me their salads are actually pretty good. I sort of frowned because...who comes to a pizza place to eat salad? But one day I ordered the house salad and have been unable to look back. This salad is too good to be at a pizza place. It is delicious but simple. The restaurant certainly seemed like more of a take out spot with a lackluster bar and dining area, but the food did not disappoint.
