Oh, Deweys... I still remember my first encounter at Dewey's back when they first opened their Newport location in 2001. The pizza is phenomenal! The toppings are authentic and fresh. And the CRUST, well, it's amazing. The crust is a perfect combo of pastry-like texture and weight, with just the right amount of doughiness. The Bronx bomber and Hawaiian pizzas are my favorites. I personally love the red sauce pizzas over the white sauce ones. But beyond pizza, Dewey's has outstanding salads! Their house salad is soooooooo good! The salad dressings are made in-house. Seriously though, their house dressing is lick-the-plate-clean good and their ranch dressing is awesomely thin and flavorful (rather than thick and clumpy like at most places). Dewey's ranch dressing also pairs great with any of their pizzas (e.g. crust-dipping). The service is also consistently great. The staff have a team approach to serving, which works very well. All in all, Dewey's is one of my all-time favorite places to eat!! read more

First time visiting Dewey's while moving my son in at NKU. My family arrived at lunch to a little wait, maybe 5 minutes. We ordered a 17" Bronx Bomber and an 11" Pepperoni. Upon arriving to the table, the server told us that they were not pleased with the overdone pepperoni pizza and would take care of it. This is a great pizza joint! My kids love getting to watch them making the pizzas through the giant windows. The service is super chill and they always do a wonderful job. My favorite pie is the Southwest BBQ Chicken. On top of great pizza, they have some great seasonal salads that you should give a try. read more

The best. I wish I could give them 6 stars. We go here often and always leave impressed. They do team service so you don't have just one waiter, they all deliver food, refill drinks (they are always so on top of refills), check in... etc. The best service we've ever had. Everyone is friendly and knows the menu items well. Everything from the salad to pizza to dessert is incredibly well done and so fresh. Grabbed lunch here around noon and had a great experience. A friend and I easily shared their 13" Southwest BBQ Chicken pizza and each had a Bell's Oberon beer for lunch. The lunch hour was seat-yourself and the service was prompt and courteous. The pizza here has never let me down and I would recommend it if you need a quick place to go for lunch. Dewey's pizza is certainly a great place to stop and eat, a great location and a very laid back and chilled environment. Great stop before a Cincinnati reds, or cyclones game. Better food and beer and much cheaper than across the river. They have a good selection of local beers, as well as a few standard lagers. Local wines can also be found there. Just be sure to bring a DD or Uber yourself so you and others can stay safe out there. Their pizza is much better fresh and I usually fail to reheat the leftovers. But when you are eating in it comes out great. They meet toppings can leave one a little desiring of taste, but for the most part the toppings are well textured and the vegetables have a good but occasionally to robust a flavor boutique as well. There tomato sauce is flavorful enough and slide slightly to the sweet side, but the have a selection of other sauces and base options as well. The only thing I could suggest is a slightly more flavorful spicing to the meet toppings and a little more Italian spices in the tomato bases sauce. I would highly recommend Dewey's for a large group outing or a business meeting type of event. It is easy, fast compared to many sit down/carryout eateries. It's filling, and it' pizza, how can anyone say no to good pizza! read more

Oh my. The specialty pizza, Porky Fig, is wonderful and I highly recommend it while it's around. The pizza consisted of fig preserves; caramelized onions; prosciutto; cheeses, including gorgonzola,...it was a great combination of sweet and salty. If I had to pick only one place to eat pizza for the rest of my life it would be Dewey's...hands down. It's a little pricier than I'd like but you definitely get what you pay for! It's a great place to go for a family dinner out. It gets pretty crazy on the weekends, I'm sure if the had a bigger dining room, they could still fill it. Love the white sauce pizza. My husband and I went to Dewey's looking for something to measure up to the amazing pizza of the Wine Bar in Rome. Close as we have found in the Cincinnati/Northern KY area. The place is small. The service is okay. But the pizza is great. We had half and half pizza, serviced hot and just as ordered. The mushrooms were clearly fresh, the spinach recently pulled from Popeye's arms. TINY bar, the table lamps are annoying buy if you can suck it up and pull the plug or unscrew the bulb, it makes the night more pleasant. Enough sports on the Multi TVs to keep the manly men happy. Salads as big as your face to keep everyone happy. Great food. I hope your looking for a bigger space! read more

My wife and I enjoy eating at Dewey's every once and while when we want to eat some toppings you typically can't get at other places.

Came there today for lunch and it was amazing. My husband and I have three small kids and the guys making pizza behind the window played with them, our server brought out grapes and shredded cheese while we waited for our pizzas because kids are not the most patience customers and the food was delicious. I had the ball park pizza and it hit the name spot on! Our glasses never got less than half full the manager and other servers checked on us and got us refills when needed, it was a really nice experience. It was nice to see the team work! read more

Dewey's Pizza is one of the many local gems to come out of the Cincinnati's burgeoning restaurant industry in recent years, and from all indications, it is here to stay. Dewey's offers an undeniably unique take on pizza. Instead of the traditional cheese and meat pizzas they offer a wealth of toppings in seemingly bizarre combinations that always seem to turn out quite delicious. Don't let that scare you off though, there seem to be combinations for everyone. You can even try two different types on one pizza, they allow you to get half of pizza A and half of pizza B, which is great when you go with a group of friends, or just a date who has different tastes. Outside of pizza they keep their menus relatively simple with cal zones and salads as the only other options. While the cal zones seem to be pretty standard the salads are certainly a step up from the bowl iceberg lettuce and Italian dressing most pizza joints have. All of this, along with its atmosphere, combine to give Dewey's a classy, yet casual feel, and a differentiation from other pizza joints that will have Dewey's pizza on the local flavor list for a long time to come. read more

Dewey's has very good thin crust pizza. Good beer selection. Good salads. We have always had very friendly service. Only problem is, there is a HUGE WAIT from Thursday to Sunday. So either go Monday or Tuesday night, or enjoy your wait (outside, as the waiting area is overflowing). read more

Our first visit. The servers were incredibly helpful and attentive. The Greek salad was delicious, especially the house Greek dressing. We ordered three different pizzas and a calzone. All were wonderful. I especially liked the white sauce combined with pesto and sun dried tomatoes. Our drinks were kept full and we didn't have to wait for boxes or our bills. We called ahead to check for seating and when we got they told us 15-20 minutes. 35 minutes later we were still waiting... and had watched several parties come in and get seated. This place is simply awesome. I once emailed them just to suggest that they consider adding the Porky Fig pizza as a permanent menu item. They responded with a hand written note and $25 gift card to thank me for taking the time to write and being a loyal customer. I've been here many times and have never had a bad experience. The only part that can be a let down is having to wait for a table. Because of that, I tend to plan my trips here ahead of time, and usually show up just before the dinner crowd hits. I pretty much get the same thing every time: a side house salad and the southwest BBQ chicken pizza. The salad ingredients are always fresh, and the mix of the tangy dressing with the goat cheese, pine nuts, and cranberries is wonderful. The pizza always has the perfect crust and correct ratios of sauce and topping, it's a really good balance. Occasionally I'll try one of the seasonal pizzas or salads, and they're always a hit. To drink, there's always a great selection of craft beers on tap. I always have a hard time making decisions, but a wheat beer tends to pair well with the house salad, while an IPA or pale ale goes great with any of their pizzas. The service is always fast and friendly. I never have to wait for water or beer refills, and the staff will really go out of their way to make an accommodation. The prices can be just a little on the high side, but you really are getting a good value. Don't forget to order extra when you come here too, because the pizza really reheats well in the oven. For a great combination of beer and pizza, you really can't beat Dewey's. read more

This has got to be the most overrated pizza place ever. The crust is so-so and the toppings are what you'd find at your local Papa Johns.
