I really liked how you could choose up to three topping to put inside (instead of most places only let you do one and charge extra for more)! I love pizza that is well-made and creative. Dewey's nails the latter, but definitely not the former. I've had Dewey's pizza twice, each at a different location. This spot in the Crestview Towne Center is no different in quality than the other I had been to: creative pies with awesome toppings... served room temperature. I don't understand how from being made to being at our table can result in our pies not being hot. Maybe I love my pizza to be burn-the-roof-of-your-mouth HOT! and maybe that's the New Yorker in me, but I have yet to be completely satisfied by Dewey's at this location or at others. read more

This is probably my favorite Dewey's location because the service is friendly and super efficient and it's less crowded/easier to get in & out than the other NKY location in Newport. My most recent experience here was dinner with my family (2 adults, 1 child). We all shared a large candied walnut & grape salad to start and then shared a medium (13" pizza)--half Ryan's Inferno (buffalo chicken) and half Southwest BBQ Chicken. We all loved everything! My only slight complaint on this visit was that the sauce on the SW BBQ Chicken seemed much spicier than usual--not sure if they changed the recipe or was just a one-off spicier batch. Don't be a confused first-time visitor like we were. The entrance is not in the front (as one would logically expect) but on the side facing Dillards. Dewey's pizzas are some of the best in the area, with a near-perfect crust and gourmet toppings. I love that all pizzas can be split with two different sets of toppings on them. We went with the Hawaiian and Bronx Bomber (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and black olives). Their salads are as yummy as their pizzas. The side salad is really large enough to be an entree, so if you plan to eat pizza you may want to share a side salad with a friend. The Regular salads can be split as an entree between two people or as a side salad among three or four folks. My personal fave is the Peppercorn Ranch. read more

I give deweys 5 stars over other places like mellow mushroom foe thee main reasons: 1. Consistently great service 2. Consistently great food 3. Price Deweys always has friendly staff and is kid friendly, with quick food after ordering (a must with hungry tots). Plus, the crust is thin but the end is soft and fluffy like a yeast roll. While wandering around this alien land, I asked my boss "hey, what are you craving for dinner?" And my boss said, "hey holmes, I'm craving pizza, yo." So I pulled out Yelp and read the reviews on this place. I saw that they were decent, so decided to come here. When we walked inside, we noticed there was a ton of people. The wait was 35 minutes and I was starving, but we decided "hey, since there are this many people around, it must be worth the wait." When they sat us, we were impressed with how nice everyone was. We ordered a 17" pizza, half bacon/pepperoni/mixed mushrooms and half feta cheese/pepperoni/red peppers. This pizza was amazing! It was almost heart-stoppingly-breath-taking. It was beautiful! I usually love Dewey's pizza and the service is usually very good. The Crestview Hills location usually gets the food right but the service has been lacking. On my last visit our server would just drop the food and leave to return only at the very end of the meal asking if we needed refills on drinks. On the other hand, the servers trying to clear plates hovered over us. None asked if we needed a refill, just whether we were finished. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but for most of the time we were waiting for a table, there were as many people waiting for tables as people seated and eating. They saved a big table for a large party. I don't think all the people in the party ever arrived. Go to Dewey's for the good and creative pizza. Just go to a different location. read more

Then I found Dewey's and my life (when it comes to pizza, at least) will never be the same. Dewey's calzones have ruined me for calzones anywhere else. They are huge, and full of awesome toppings. I've never gotten a bad calzone here. The service is always fast and friendly at this location. Hardly ever a wait for a table. The pizza is good. I won't say it's better than pizza anywhere else, but it's never bad. A few of my friends and I wanted to try and go for lunch but knew it might be a stretch for only an hour. We called ahead of time and voiced our concerns. First time visit. Had about a 10-15 minute wait. Had 3 children in our party and they were thoroughly entertained by the pizza makers. They interacted with the kids while they made the pies. The wait time went very quickly due to this. We ordered a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 pepperoni and a Don Corleone. Both pies were excellent and the service was phenomenal. Hands down the best gourmet pizza in the Greater Cincinnati area. We love the mushroom with the white sauce and the pepperoni with the red sauce. Dewey's accommodates this by allowing us to order half and half. We've tried several of their pies and all have been great. Their salads are excellent too. There are only so many ways to describe good pizza. Dewey's is in a class of its own. Please know that the pizza itself is top notch. If you've never had it, just do it. Sometimes the entire experience is more important than just the food. The people, the humanity, the humility. We had a family tragedy. My wife was leaving work and called in an order at Dewey's, to pick up on her way home. Meanwhile at our house, my son comes to me upset. The dog is sick. My other son ran to the dog and carried her upstairs. She was stiff. She had a seizure and died. We were crushed. The kids and myself were heartbroken. I called my wife who, had just left work, and told her she had to come home immediately and told her what had happened. She was upset. She thought enough to call Dewey's and cancel the order. The girl on the other end of the phone at Dewey's could hear that she was upset. My wife told her what happened. The girl got our address and brought the pizza to our house. My wife and I weren't home by that point as we had taken the dog. She showed up to the house and gave pizzas to my boy and didn't ask for payment. It was a rough night for our family and honestly nobody had much of an appetite. I'm sure the pizza was amazing. Probably not half as amazing as the kind gesture by the girl at Dewey's. read more

I received recommendations from a friend of mine, and my dad was also told to visit. We all had calzones, and they were probably the best tasting calzones I've had. The ricotta cheese seemed to make the difference there. The staff was attentive and friendly, and they really seemed to be having a good time. The only reason not 5 stars is I feel it's a bit overpriced on some items. I would definitely order more often if it wasn't so expensive for a large pizza. A family member thinks red pizza sauce is too spicy but I enjoy it. Regular salad a bit pricey considering the ingredients take little effort to make the salad. We went to Deweys today and we were blown away with this restaurant. This was our second visit there and again the pizza was awesome and the Caesar salad was delicious and the service was outstanding. But I have high regards for this restaurant after the gesture they made to us from a simple mistake they made on our order. We ordered a pizza with Pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, Mushrooms and extra cheese. When the waitress brought it to our table and we ate our first piece we realized it didn't have the Canadian Bacon. It was still delicious and we continued to eat it, I told the waitress it was missing the Canadian Bacon so could she make sure we don't get charged for an "extra" topping. She said sure and went back to the kitchen. The gentleman who was going from table to table to make sure everyone was pleased with their food came to our table and informed us they were making another pizza for us. I told him they did not need to do this just remove the price from our ticket. He said no and their policy is "people are to get what they order" and it was their mistake. I insisted to just adjust our ticket and he said our "new pizza" was already in the oven for us to take home. Great pizza place! My family and I usually get Ryan's Inferno which is like a buffalo chicken pizza and it's so good! They have excellent servers who are always on top of making sure your drink is topped off and they make sure the restaurant is always clean. My kids love coming here and getting their pepperoni pizza. They also love watching the chefs in the back making the pizza because they have a glassed enclosure so you can watch them make the pizza. Works most of the time but sometimes it can be redundant because they will often all ask the same questions but it does help make service faster. I don't think I've ever been to Deweys when it is not great. A few times they have been slow, or messed up an order, but they always make it right. They care about the customer and the pizza and salads are best in the city. If you are just visiting Cincy, you must try Deweys as it is a staple of this area. The only downfall I can think of is that the place is small, and the wait on a weekend night between 6-9 will be around 1 hour. It is worth it! Just grab one of their craft beers or a glass of wine while you wait! read more
