I don't like to leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, we had a really disappointing experience with DFW Furniture. At first, we were excited because the couch we purchased is nice and comfortable. We spent around $2,000 on furniture and paid an additional $200 delivery fee. The sales associate clearly told us that delivery would include removal of our old couches. That did not happen... When the movers arrived on Thursday, they delivered the new couch but refused to take the old ones. We were left with FOUR couches crammed into our living room and hallways, making our apartment basically unusable. When we asked the movers, they said it wasn't on their order. To make the matters worse, we tipped the movers under the impression they would be handling everything as promised ... but they simply left. When the movers called their supervisor asking for approval to pick up the old furniture, their supervisor said "No. Just leave. I need you guys at the next location." We contacted the store immediately, and the associate said because she forgot to notate it on the invoice that the old furniture needs to be removed, she would find someone to pick them up later that night. No one came. The next day, Friday, we followed up again and were told someone would "for sure" come Monday, leaving us with a claustrophobic living room for an entire weekend. Monday came and we received a call saying there was nothing they could do. No pickup. No solution. We were then offered a $100 store credit because apparently that's all they could do after spending $2,000+ and dealing with a situation that made our home unlivable for days. This entire issue happened because the associate failed to note the furniture removal on the order. We ended up having to rent a U-Haul and haul the couches to the dump ourselves, paying additional costs out of pocket. This experience was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. The lack of accountability and follow through is unacceptable. We will not be returning. We initially thought we would be able to purchase all of our furniture here, as we're in the process of replacing everything. However, after this experience, we will not be coming back. Originally, we planned to get an entire new set of furniture that same day & I'm honestly so glad we didn't because I can't imagine having double of everything in this case. read more

I received my comfortable couch within a week, that came with its decor pillows. And while at it, I also purchased 2 dining chairs that I was looking for my dining set. I did not know this was a chain. Came here and found a couch we may buy but the great thing was a good selection and no salesman hovering over us like other furniture stores. We were able to look around freely, found something we liked, took a picture of it and will come back after looking around. Do not purchase anything from these CROOKS! The customer service was amazing while my mom spent over $7K on a sectional, kitchen table set (with chairs), coffee table, lamp, and bed. The interaction she has had since with the sales associate and "owner" have been short of amazing! The bed my Mom picked out makes a loud noise when operating it. She purchased an adjustable bed for the purpose of relaxing, but there is no way to relax with such an annoying, loud noise. What was their suggestion? To put a rug under it! My mom even sent a video of the noise and there's been no follow up. The kitchen table that was delivered was not the right table. In addition, the table they did deliver wobbles and so do the chairs. When delivering the table the drivers scratched up my Moms BRAND NEW kitchen floor. Side note, my Mom just remodeled her kitchen! Solution? Oh, they will just do a "repair" and add a piece to the table that is supposedly missing. Oh and the drivers miraculously put it together WRONG! And left all their trash behind after "assembling" it. The lamp my mom purchased?? BROKEN BULBS! The same drivers must have dropped the bulbs because once my Mom turned the lamp on she noticed the broken bulbs. Still no replacements given or delivered! More promises to replace! Zero follow through! The coffee table she purchased has SCRATCHES ALL OVER it!! With so many issues, she should have been offered a refund; but instead, she's only gotten the run around with a ton of broken promises! The owner told my mom "you got what you paid for" and hung up on her face. What a terrible way to do business and she definitely did not get what she paid for. I went to the San Leandro location and the salesperson was Art. He was attentive and did not try pressure me into buying anything which I appreciated. I bought a small sleeper sofa, a tv stand to fit my new 65 inch tv, and chest dresser which was damaged during the assembly process at my home. I the delivery person he asked me to send photos and I sent two of them. But for some strange reason he asked me to send again and I cooperated. Then I received a text message to contact the warehouse manager which he did text me the information. It was New Year's Eve therefore I had to wait two days to call. I did call the day after New Year's and spoke to the warehouse manager and he requested photos of the damage and again I sent via text message attachment and state please confirm that you received the photos and Raul never responded. I will be following up today which is Saturday. A follow up review will be posted. I would have given a four or five star but I will change it later after the outcome is done. read more

A shitshow, clusterfuck. The perpetual signs in the window "Going Out Of Business" Are your first clue that something is terribly "off". We gave them the benefit of the doubt. Gave the place a once over, sucked-in by decent-seeming prices. We were very much keen to swap our sectional for something a little different. Found a sofa and loveseat, they were happy to sell it to us, then the problems began in earnest. First the delivery was delayed not once, not twice, and always after assurances. You would find out the day of, lame excuses, followed by another hazy target, and more lame excuses -- can't talk to Hamsa your sales guy, you have to call the delivery guy and once you do get through which may take some serious persistence and fortitude, he doesn't have the word from the sales guy and it's an epic clusterfuck but wait it gets worse. The delivery finally came and the guys scraped some of the finish on the way in. But it gets worse, we decided that the love seat didn't fit. So we made arrangements to return the love seat. Same saga then starts all over again only in reverse. So this loveseat sits in our living room for another 3 weeks while these guys try to figure out how to retrieve it .... And there's a fee to return it but that's okay there will be a balance that gets refunded. The refund then takes weeks and weeks of nonstop hounding they say they'll call you back and they never do .... Don't let our misfortune happen to you! Steer clear of this black hole of a place. I received a couch with two chairs. I did not receive the side table I paid for and what is worst no one could tell me when it would be delivered. Not only that the delivery drivers scratched my brand new floors, In my new home! My home was just built in October of 2023 I moved in November 2023. The delivery drivers scratch the floors!!!! I ordered a kitchen table from DFW and so far it's been great. The quality of the table is sturdy and looks expensive. The price was less than what I expected to pay and the owner threw in 2 extra chairs at no cost!! The best part about this place is Jessie! She's professional, knowledgeable and offered options! I had an issue with my chairs and she fixed it immediately! She communicated with me via her personal cell phone and made sure I was up to date on everything. She went above and beyond to get my chairs in time. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good furniture at a decent price!! I plan on going back soon!! I am EXTREMELY frustrated once again with DFW. My husband has called/texted/contacted them once again to no avail because now a chair has had it's headrest stuck in the completely forward position as well as the foot rest no longer goes up and down. This issue began shortly after they resolved the last issues. We contacted them before covid hit - however once covid hit we were told that all the suppliers had slowed down part shipments. Again- frustrated that we spent so much on this Catalina Electric Sectionals - and that it's having issues well before the 5 year warranty is up - and the "FIXES" basically take the 5 years they are good for up. I don't recommend anything. Not the Catalina brand sofa we bought-and not DFW either. We have not heard from DFW at all - although my husband has been in contact with them several times. The only way to get any news is to call them. I won't be buying furniture through them again. read more

I wish I could do less than one star. HORRIBLE customer service. Once you are at the store they are all sweet and of course, quick to take your money! We bought couches on Saturday, scheduled delivery for today; Tuesday. Our delivery was scheduled in between 3-4 pm. That time comes and no delivery. So we call and apparently "the order was not placed" meaning they got our money but the delivery was the least of their concern. We are asking for a refund at this point because we spent a good amount, even took the day off work to await the delivery. They try to negotiate by pushing our delivery back to THURSDAY, including a "$200" refund; of course we did not agree to that. They then say they'll deliver by 5-6 pm, again no call. We went to the store at 6 and asked them for a refund because at this point they are playing in my face about my money. She then says they'll deliver by 6-7 because they are "coming from antioch", at this point it's around 6:40. They eventually show up right before 7. Our couches are wrapped in clear wrap. Even tho at the store we were told the delivery men were coming from antioch, their warehouse. You would think your "new furniture" will be in boxes. They bring in the couches and ironically they look exactly like the couches I saw unassembled when I went to the store, they had unassembled them to deliver them to my house thinking I would not notice. I asked the delivery men if these were coming from the warehouse or store and they confirm that they were ordered to deliver these to me from their store, yes we got the displays. This is so unprofessional, promising something and delivering another. Making me pay full price to give me display couches apparently they only sell used things. I do not recommend this store what so ever. The worst customer service. read more

If I could rate them 0 starts I would! They sold me a "brand new" couch which was not cheap at all! and guaranteed it was not going to be the display one. Apart from showing up almost 8pm to deliver the couch after they said they'd be there 3-4pm they deliver the display couch to me. My sister purchased a bed frame from the sales rep Yesi or Yessenia, when she was purchasing the item she was very hesitant since she had no car at the time or a way to take the item home, yesi recomended that for an extra $100 she will deliver. My sister declined because that was already out of her budget so yesi told my sister. And I was there my husband was there that she will wave the delivery fee as long as we where the ones to set up her bed frame. So my sister agreed only on those terms yesi told my sister that she was going to call her in 3 days. And well 5months later and nothing! So my sister went yesterday 9/12/21 talked to yesi to get her money and yesi told her that the manager had to do the refund and she would be able to do it over the phone on the next day at 10Am. My sister calls today 9/13/21 at 10 am and she never answered. So she called again and the "manager" answered and was extreamly rude telling her that he could not do the refund since yesi a sales rep did the sale she could only do the refund. How? Super pissed off! I was referred to him by another sales man. We saw a couch we wanted for our house . The person he left us with to finish our order stated that we could get the chase on either side. The first time the couch came with the chase on the wrong side. We sent it back and then it came a second time with the chase on the wrong side! The delivering company comes late from a 3 hour waiting period. We've been without a couch for so long. Our house has to be rearranged. We missed out on having a family party due to not having a couch. Beautiful couch but dont lie to people when they spend over 1000 dollars on a co UPDATE it is now 4/25/2019 my couch is still not fixed and they wanted ME to fix the couch even though it has a 1 year warranty . Don't buy from here. This is ridiculous . After four weeks of arguing with the staff. They said the man was coming to fix the couch . The morning of the repair that I took off work and said they werent coming because there wasn't a second person to help flipped the couch over . I stated that I would hold the couch and the man said no. I came to the store and Sean gave a us a credit pick out something we liked. We picked out a mirror. And another item for being inconvenienced for so long. I ended up flipping the couch ANYWAY WITHOUT THE SECOND GUY! They finally sent the man to fix the couch. Really nice guy. Came in and fixed the couch within five minutes. Its 2 weeks later and the mirror hasn't arrived. We go to the store and they NEVER ordered the mirror. Pissed off again they offer a discount on another item. They call us on a Friday and scheduled a delivery on Saturday. I call them and tell them I need more than 12 hours notice. They said Tuesday or Thursday. I said TUESDAY. I asked him what time! Because somebody needs to be at home. He said he would call me on Monday with a time. Which was Memorial Day. He never called with the time. Once again the day of delivery they call on Tuesday and say they'll be here on Thursday. Whomever is the delivery manage has such poor customer service. When I told him I was going to Yelp the entire experience from the store he stated "I'll make a deal with you, I deliver your stuff today and you write good reviews." He said that like he was doing me a favor !!!! For something his people already called and confirmed with me!!! He told me to let go of the pass and dont worry about all the problems from beyond. That sent me into a rage. Telling me the customer to forget about the pass? They have continuously shown us that they are not consistent and do NOT value your time or money as a customer. The only person who truly owned up the mistakes they've made was Sean. Everybody else whom deals with customers should be FIRED immediately . They only have one person working to fix problems. We found the perfect sofa with built in chaise there. The girl that helped us was very helpful and professional and had the sofa delivered quickly. I would especially like to commend the two delivery guys, Anthony and Tone. They were able to figure out how to get the sofa pieces in the house even though the sofa was too big to fit through our small doors, and one was recovering from a foot injury. They set up the sofa exactly as I wanted while making me laugh the whole time. Great job guys!!! read more

I really wanted to leave a good review because i did eventually get the correct furniture but i want people to never aware before buying from here. One, they are not going out of business. Two.. i went in the first time sad the young guy didn't even greet me. Do i looked and then go back with my man. Yesi helps us and some how i left my phone at home so she texted my phone for me to have her number and then never responded when i actually reached out. So silly me, i go back and we look and we pick out a sectional and the process was so quick i was shocked. We'll that's bcz she ordered the wrong sectional and i realized when it was delivered and put together that the chaise was on the wrong side and it was a sleeper. I go up there.. the young guy tells me he can't help me bcz hes not the one that org helped me and apparently there's no management in store ever, so i couldn't even talk to anyone. I literally call her everyday with no response until i threaten to return everything. (Didn't even get the ottoman). She tells me she'll put in the correct order and call me back with an update. She literally never calls me or answers until like day 5 after. At this point i just want to return so i call the company i financed through , and let them know im paying for half my order and the portion i got wasn't wat i ordered. Low and behold they are able to get ahold of someone, and get updates before myself. And the lady was able to get me a date that they would swap out my sectional. Id would never buy anything from here again. I wasnt offered any compensation. Nor did they put urgency on getting me the correct items after i was delivered the wrong thing. Believe the reviews. I had the worst experience with this business ever. I was never lied to this way before. So disappointed! Almost four months ago we moved to a bigger place and needed furniture. Went to DFW Furniture at Concord and bought what was supposed to be new furniture. I asked specifically and was assured from Yesenia that everything will be new. Waited a week and got a part of the things we ordered, only to see it was covered in dust and used as floor samples. From there it was conversation and trips to the store back and forth. She tryed to convince us that we agreed to buy the floor samples, which was not true! The receipt was for regular items, not sale or clearance. Then more stuff arrived and of all 5 big items and 4 chairs, only one item was new. They offered me a check for $300 for two of the items as adjustment, which I kept as a proof that I got lied to the first time around and never deposited it. They promised they will send us brend new items, when they have the thems in stock, as long as we keep the scratched old ones. I was not happy with it, nor was my husband. We simply wanted to move in our new place hassle free and not deal with such a thing for months. All their drivers were unhappy as employees of the company and complained about the things they go through with the company. Their dispatcher Raul was very rude to me on the phone. They said he was rude to them all the time They also told us that it was a normal practice for the company to promise new furniture for exchange of the floor samples they intend you, but that exchange never happens. They make you keep the old ones as you are too tired of dealing with them and just let it go. I got in touch with a manager Shaun and Hamza, both were helpful and promised they will give us all the money back. Of course, we returned everything too! We paid with more than one card. As of today, they did not return all the money. I was trying to resolve the issue the normal way and was more than patient, but it didn't work. My bank told me that they didn't return any money back to the bank and the business claims they did. I filed a claim with the bank, but DFW wouldn't return the money. I'm never writing bad reviews! This one is to protect whoever want to buy furniture from that business not get tricked and frustrated like us for months! read more

I purchased a two piece sectional sofa from DFW. I selected these because they had a "lifetime warranty" and was willing to pay a bit more to make sure the four recliners would be covered. Unfortunately, one recliner was delivered broken! Despite many, many calls and visits to their store, they failed to repair or to replace. A technician finally came to my home (after many months of requesting that something be done) but he was unable to fix the problem. One year later, one of the recliners still does NOT WORK and they have made no effort to provide any type of follow-up. Their customer service is the absolute worst. Do not buy from them. read more

We wanted a soft queen bed and foundation for my husband and we were able to purchase the floor model since it had been discontinued. I ordered a bed for my son in July, it took them 6 weeks to deliver the bed. I had to visit the store twice for updates, since I was not getting call backs. My son spent 3 days on the floor with no bed while we waited. I spent a couple of hours when ordering the bed explaining what I was looking for. The salesperson Perla assured me the frame would NOT be as chunky as the display on the floor, since that was a bigger bed. We were ordering a full size bed with storage. When the bed finally came I immediately questioned if it was the correct bed, being that the frame was much chunkier and looked like the one on display. I went back to the store and spoke with Robert. I was willing to exchange the bed, but that if they couldn't help me then I would have to return it. This is not the bed I was looking for. Robert said he understood the issue but that it he would have to talk to his manager. I began texting back and forth with Robert for a few days. Their online policy states they will exchange or return within 30 days of delivery for ANY reason if unsatisfied. I was first told they could not take the bed back (it was 3 days since it had been delivered), because they no longer had the boxes. How is that the customer's issue?? They tried to pin the issue on me, saying that there were no notes on the order and that I just basically don't like the bed. No, the salesperson did not understand or know what she was talking about. The size of the platform is correct, but the chunky frame is the same much width as the bigger bed. Something I was told would not be the case. They then told me they could exchange the bed but I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee. I'm exchanging it, why would I have to pay a restocking fee? Their policy states the restocking fee is waived if you do an exchange. I asked to speak with the manager, but was ignored. I figured they didn't care enough about their customers to work this out, so I asked for the breakdown in mattress and frame. I'll sell the bed myself, but will no longer do business with this store as they do not honor their own policy. It's a shame too, I wanted to like them and have another furniture store to visit in the area. Instead, I will advise everyone to not do business here unless you want frustration, aggravation and dissatisfaction in exchange for the few dollars you think you're saving. read more
