I had an excellent experience purchasing my 2024 BMW iX from Sewell BMW of Grapevine. I spent several weeks researching iXs across the country, and the team was responsive throughout the buying process, answering my questions, providing the inspection report, CARFAX, build information, and everything I needed to make an informed decision. They were transparent, professional, and there were no surprises. Since I live about 200 miles away, I really appreciated that they accommodated my long drive by having everything prepared before I arrived. The paperwork was ready, the vehicle was exactly as described, and the entire transaction was efficient, allowing me to get back on the road quickly. After I got home, I realized the 120V adapter for the BMW Flexible Fast Charger was missing. In fairness, I was in a hurry to get back home and didn't notice it before leaving the dealership. Took my car in for a recall and naturally they found a couple things to charge me for. They quoted me $2,400.00 for a leaking motor mount. After looking up costs, found out the typical charge to replace motor mounts is between $550.00 and $750.00. Called then back to cancel and the service advisor was adamite that I have it done at the dealership. When informed of the normal market price, she wanted me to make an offer on the service. Obviously, they inflate the cost and unless you call them out; they will rip you off all day long. At the tender age of 77, I replaced the motor mounts myself in my garage for a total cost of $75.00 in about 6 hours. No, not a factory BMW part. Why They don't last over 40k miles. Why replace one headache with another? Bet a factory trained technician with hoist, tools, n help can do the same in less than 2 hours. Not that hard. $2,400.00? I am sharing this review to document my experience with Sewell Motor Company of Grapevine after exhausting all reasonable attempts to resolve this matter privately with sales representative Manton Fain and dealership management, including Deborah Young. I entered into two separate lease transactions with Sewell, relying on clear and repeated representations made by Manton Fain regarding Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) coverage. Prior to signing, I specifically raised concerns about full GAP coverage and was affirmatively told it was included with the lease and would protect me from any and all payoff deficiency, including in the event of a total loss. These representations were material to my decision to proceed. At no point before signing either lease were any exclusions, limitations, or qualifications disclosed, discussed, or provided in writing. No distinction was made between "traditional GAP" and any limited or alternative protection, nor was I advised that rolled-in balances, prior amounts, or other exclusions would not be covered. These are material facts that would have directly impacted my decision to lease. After my vehicle was totaled by a third-party at-fault driver who ran a traffic control sign, and after I had already entered into a second lease with Sewell, the dealership asserted previously undisclosed limitations and informed me that I allegedly owe $11,630.11. These limitations were introduced only after the loss occurred, not prior to execution of either contract. Compounding the issue, I did not receive copies of my signed lease documents at the time of signing for either transaction. I only received them on January 23, 2026--months later--and only after specifically requesting them again. I have sent multiple detailed, written emails to dealership management outlining these concerns and requesting a formal response. Despite the time-sensitive nature of the issue and the potential financial and credit harm, no response has been provided. Additionally, as of this review, I have still not received any communication regarding my vehicle registration, despite multiple follow-ups. I am not posting this review lightly. I made good-faith efforts to resolve this directly and privately. My concern is not with an accident or an insurance claim, but with the failure to disclose material limitations prior to signing, followed by silence once those issues were formally raised. Consumers deserve transparency before entering into major financial obligations. I hope Sewell chooses to address this matter responsibly and communicate directly. As of 2 days, the Bodyshop Manager called back & reviewed my original request to repair both bumpers & repair both covers from repair tabs & mounts. Mr. Williams called me back prior to that the earlier where his lead estimator was upset towards my asking of what was needed; Clint his manager apologized & offered if I was willing to return & have a new assessment, on possibly repairing the rear cover. Ah NO! If I ask about who a person's professional & I upset your knowledge & the person I address about what prior training & you as an employee get upset; Your years as a professional in the auto repair industry is like the attitude Mr. Williams displayed over the phone; well I'd recommend you either learn more about where you receive your prior & just listen to what your customer asks & see if you can answer the question and or maybe YOU need retraining. Great place to purchase a BMW, but not a good place to have it serviced. They have lost their customer service edge. No longer can you have the same customer service rep to develop a repore and who knows your car. My 2024 BMW 750e has been in the shop multiple times for various issues. It has been in 4 times for electrical issues with the GPS, cruise control, auto high beam lights (have never worked), etc. Each time they keep the car for at least a week and claim it has been fixed. Car was in the shop AGAIN for the same issue with GPS...after a week they claimed it was repaired. The repairs lasted a month, now the same issues are occurring. Oddly enough, my washer fluid tank was filled with filthy water this last time and not windshield washer fluid. Each time I used the fluid, it reeked like sewer water. It is pointless to speak to anyone about it as they are full of excuses. I have gotten 7 BMWs at Sewell, and now I am looking at Park Place Mercedes just to avoid the service department. I was reluctant to post here but oh well. I've never bought a BMW and after going here probably never will. I will say the salesman was great, and this isn't about him. I was judged the moment I arrived, I wasn't treated like the wealthy high class people they're used to to seeing and it was obvious. No manager wanted to meet me, hell my original salesperson wasn't there nor followed up later. I've bought several cars and I know what to expect when shopping for a new vehicle. This was by far the coldest, neglectful and disappointing experience. The bad part about it, was that I liked the car a lot and felt I would be approved for it, but that didn't happen, since I was told I need to put down a sizable down payment. I refused although I had it, but the sting of non importance of my dollar and credit vs someone who doesn't look like me dollar and credit shows that classism and other ism's are still alive and well in establishments like these. Not a lot of words were spoken, and while I could say more I would've been more accepting of them saying we're closed. If I knew then what I know now I would've drove past there and saved myself a few inquiries, time and humiliation. I still wish them much success with their chosen demographic of customers whom they worship and treat with the utmost respect. Bait and switch - Vehicle I was about to purchase was apparently "loaned out" to a customer OVERNIGHT (ex-ceo of AT&T? Little tmi but anyways) but I was told it still is marked as new. Salesman (Alex C) genuinely didn't understand why a vehicle being overnight loaner and customer buying it as a new is a concern. And he couldn't even explain the difference between this vehicle and new vehicle I was offered. Then I was offered a different car w few features missing with several unnecessary accessories ($50 BMW first aid kit + $300 floor mat). And then I was told monthly will be the same and they can't remove it. I walked away. In addition to this, I felt like I was treated as a second class citizen not as a valued customer on how this salesperson communicated things. Ie. Pulled into the parking lot in my rented Toyota Corolla while my truck was in the shop. Was looking for a new full sized SUV. Heard good things about the X7. However, when I pulled up into the parking lot and got out of the car, I witnessed 2 floor sales people see me, got the "Oh no" look on their face, and turned and walk away. Disappeared. Lol. When I walked in, both receptionist reluctantly stood up to greet me. When I said I was interested in an X7, they said there was no one to help me right now. Mind you, it was Tuesday at 11:20 and the place was empty. I asked if I could just look at the X7 and where was one on the floor or lot. They said they didn't know, but I could wait for an indefinite amount of time, or look around. I then literally turned around, walked 25 feet, and there was an X7 right in front of them. I looked it over for what seemed like 5 minutes, prob only 2, before the youngest sales guy finally walked over. Long story short, he clearly was disengaged, so I just asked if I could have a card. He said "I'd have to walk all the way back to my desk to get one." Really???? If you want to feel privileged to give these guys a $100k to say u drive a Beamer, then go ahead. As for me, I've had 3 BMWs in the past. I really like them. But it will be a cold day in you know where before I give those guys one nickel. Guess they have all the business they need. One of the worst place to service a BMW - I sold my BMW because of poor service advisors mentality on " how much money you can get from this customer " that's all these guys do - The service advisor who are here are mere mouthpieces for the foreman and their only main goal is to get money from customers by replacing parts - BMW should rather fire them all and use an automated machine rather to improve their revenue instead of stealing from customers money for revenue - I'm super heartbroken with this experience in the USA - never had this experience anywhere else- Recently I took my BMW for a service here and they kept car for 1 or 2 days - send a video of the car and they suggested 2 problems - 1 engine mount replacement and other turbo coolant leak fix - they delivered car after 5 days - they charged approx 5k bill out of which I had to pay 700$ and warranty company paid remaining - all was ok - after 1 month engine light came up went back and - same process - keep the car for 1 or 2 days - send a video- they said another turbo leak and radiator flap replacement- this time another 5 k bill with front brake pads and rotor replaced - I requested them to fix second turbo coolant leak and radiator flap replacement and bear the cost themselves because this was introduced by them - but they didn't agree - worst part is they charged another 5k bill with 3 k labor work and the warranty had said they won't bear the cost themselves- and I ended up paying 6000$ in repair in a span of 4 weeks for a 14000 $ trade in value car - another 5 day for delivery- After spending all this I took the car home and when I reversed from my garage I see a slight wobble and I reported in text the issue immediately- Again after 2 weeks when the issue was more persistent I took the car again this time there was an guy named Shawn Smith - - I told him this problem was introduced from previous service. - he didn't accept - he said it was my fault - it happend because I drove 50 miles after previous service- I told him clearly I don't want to spend anymore on it this issue is created by your previous work - pls fix it - he said he will take in and see why - I asked him to see the problem by reversing now but he said I'll have to take the car inside and he took it and the usual process - keep the car for 1 or 2 days - send a video of the car that all are good - and suggesting a repair - he said I had to change the front wheel and tire for this issue and he threatened me car won't run more than 10 mile - So I was forced to accept this change another 1260 dollar bill - car was delivered after 4 days - I paid came home tested again and guess what - The problem was there and this time I went immediately and met this genius at work Shawn Smith - and showed him that you didn't fix nothing- and the genius replied - I have to let it go and drive it as it is - and I asked him why u changed my tires and wheel when this issue was introduced by the previous service - I should have brought the car immediately - he calls the foreman immediately and he comes to the parking area and checked the problem and suggested to change oil for transfer case - and I have to give the vehicle again to them - and this when I decided it's not worth it - A total of 6500$ from my pocket and 4500 from warranty company for repairs for 14k trade in value car??? In a span of 8 weeks - I mean seriously- and they wanted even more - If someone from BMW customer relations is reading this - please do something about this openly stealing money from customers for the issues introduced by the service team or issues introduced by your service team in this place and take necessary action. Wow! I'm thoroughly disappointed with this BMW service department. Max, my service advisor, was very nice in person and very responsive to texts when I was considering a new BMW but he didn't respond well with the service of my current one. Sadly, it took a week and a half to fix a sunroof and clean my seats (don't buy a bmw with white seats-jeans fade into them-problem notes all over the internet). When I would text to inquire on getting my 2022 car back, I would get no response. I paid for a luxury wash and it came back to me dirty (valet delivered). Do not use this dealership unless you want to be lied to and have your money spent unnecessarily. Took my BMW x6 there because it was bucking up and down, they said it was the back air bag suspension so I paid 2600 for replacement. Drove home after repair, still bucked. Called them, they towed vehicle to shop, said defective part and replaced it. Drove it after pick up, front end all messed up, from their tow truck. They denied, fixed the issue, luckily it was under my warranty I purchased but still had to pay them 100 dollars, when they caused the issue. Then took it back with a hard knock and jerking with turning. They had a technician spend 45 minutes with us explaining that this is the way the front tires grip the road. Few months later my passenger front tire splits, I have to purchase 2 new front tires so I did. Just got a nail in passenger from tire, took it in to Discount tire to get plugged and they showed me that my new passenger front tire is worn on outside. They say this is a suspension issue with my vehicle. I take it to a BMW mechanic this time, he says it is NOT normal and this vehicle does not jerk because the tires are gripping the road. A lot of nonsense. He inspects and shows me pictures, I need new ball joints and bushings. Have needed them. And if Sewell BMW would have known what they are doing, they could have fixed this for me while my warranty was still in effect. Their name should be Sewage BMW of Grapevine because their practices stink. I took my 2020 Certified Preowned X 5 ( certified by Sewage and bought from Sewage) in for an AC problem. They wanted $1,000.00 just to diagnose it. Then they gave a quote of $7,000.00 to "hopefully fix it". I can just imagine how many more thousands they would attempt to pry away from me when that didn't work. I declined them letting them steal from me and picked my car up. A few minutes of research shows my problem is commonly an inexpensive valve that can stick or just low on refrigerant, and this has been common on these sorry bmw's for years. Check any bmw forum and these POS vehicles have this happen a lot. I told them $1,000 to diagnose an ac was outrageous, just check and see if the refrigerant is low. It's summer in Texas and they know people need ac, so they just try to knock your head off right out of the gate. This place is a true stealership and these guys are con-artists. Called to make sure that I still qualify for my extended maintenance covered for an oil change before I made the distant & traffic time. After explaining in details my car current situation over the phone, I was advised by some customer service guy that YES, my car WILL be covered! Agreed to set an appointment as I was heading to the dealership shortly, about 30-40 min, depending on traffic. Arrived & one of the service advisor, Andrew checked out my info. Was told, NO it's not ready for an oil change. I can get an oil change, BUT I'll have to pay out of pocket. Sounds contradicting there. Talked with Aaron, service "manage" but again, was told, oil change will NOT be covered due to some BS that BMW won't pay for it. If I could give lower stars, I would. They cost us $1300, a customer, and another $250 for my wasted time. Really terrible customer service all the way around. After being promised we could get a part and pay over the phone, we opened an account and are a credible business and after my tech drove over an hour 1 way to get the part, they would not let us pay as promised and left empty handed. I asked more than one time about payment and let them know what we were up against and they basically acted like they were too good to help me. Even keeping me on hold for 45 mins and telling my tech totally different information than I was told. Very frustrating and very disappointing. To top it all off, I was able to get the part at another BMW with zero issues. This group is awful. They are all too good to help anyone and treat you like you are 2nd class just bc they work at BMW. I could honestly hear the snear in David's voice as he denied me the part I desperately needed. Bad taste over this. B2B should do better. They never once asked to verify anything to allow this transaction, but then said they do allow them in rare circumstances for emergency..... um... that is what this was. So you do allow them, you just won't help us. Got it. Big loss for them bc we do TONS of BMW work and we will NOT be using them ever! Save your hard earned money bc if this is how they treat like businesses with accounts, I can't imagine you will be treated any different as a consumer. If I were thinking of buying a car here, I would DEF keep this in mind, especially if you are looking for a car dealer that will work with you on anything that may arise. I hate to think how people with car issues are treated. Very clear that they only see dollar signs and not people. So their claim "building relationships is the goal over selling cars...." I had another top notch experience at Sewell BMW! I took my X1 in for an oil change yesterday and was quickly greeted by Kevin in the service department. He was very welcoming and made sure I was taken care of. After only waiting about 5 minutes he brought in Jack to assist me further. Jack was also very helpful and I appreciate that he explains each aspect of the recommended service items. When picking up my car at the end of the day the gentleman in the service bay were accommodating and you can tell they enjoy their job. I had the worst experience with the service center at Sewell BMW Grapevine. Our X5 BMW wouldn't start and we had noticed there was a starter recall on it so we called Sewell BMW and they assured us that it was a recall and to have it towed in. We were already a little frustrated that we would be responsible to pay $200 for towing when it was a starter recall but it is what it is. It took several days for someone to call us back but once they had the vehicle they said it was definitely the starter and NOTHING else was wrong. I was assigned to "Grant" and he sent me a diagnostic video etc. He then explains to me that even though they agree it was just the starter it was a "software" recall on the starter and WE would be responsible for the new starter at a price of $1700 NOT THEM! I reasoned with him that if there was a starter recall and the starter is what went out WHY would we be responsible? He blamed it on the local BMW rep they have and that I could escalate it with Customer relations. So I opened a case with them "Cameron" which also took several days to return my call and he argued that it was likely MY fault if we tried to start it and flooded the starter? Which made NO SENSE because the car wouldn't even begin to start even if we wanted it to since the STARTER was FRIED from the recall. Sewell BMW and customer relations took turns blaming one another and after 2 WEEKS of them having our vehicle as a FAMILY of 6 and they DIDN'T even offer a LOANER (not one word) Grant acted like he was doing a favor by knocking off $250 making my bill now OVER $1450 for something caused by their recall. ABSOLUTELY not! He insultingly said I could do their financing options to pay for it. HA! They are in the wrong and I will not be giving them a penny. Now we are having it towed to a reputable repair shop that will do the starter install for $1165! Which I still shouldn't have to pay! Honestly, I am left feeling frustrated and ripped off I expected so much better from a place like that as this is our 3rd BMW and we had a great experience at Sewell Cadillac. AVOID SEWELL BMW SERVICE CENTER at all cost! They do not take care of their customers and are only in it for the $$$$$$$$!!!! (Which I'm glad they didn't get!) read more

What an incredible experience! We were having some difficulties with the technology on the X5 and dropped it off for service before taking our anniversary trip. Not only did they fix the issue, they offered to pick us up at the airport (Thanks intern Pete!) but they signed an anniversary card for us! Amazing service! Can't wait to buy our next BMW from them! read more

Scammed by service department - I paid $650 for a new key with the promise that it would include programming and blocking out a stolen key. I showed up to get my new key and was told I had to pay over $200 more. $650 for just a key, after a promise otherwise is outrageous.
