I would like to start out by saying that we have had some unpleasant experiences with brokers in the past, so looking for a broker to do our refi was a daunting task to say the least. We were looking for someone that we can work with for many years to come. We were ready to refinance our home to get out of an FHA loan into a Conventional product. It is so hard to know who you can trust! We only bought our home a year ago and we were getting bombarded with mailers enticing us to refinance with various companies. I was reluctant to call any of them.... I'm in the business myself but didn't really want our personal info in my company's database. For some reason DG Funding's mailer stood out and seemed legitimate. Although we are up North, DG is still in California so I liked that. I took a chance and called after feeling comfortable reading all the reviews! I spoke with Rik Wlodarczyk. Long story short, we funded and closed within a month! The process was easy, smooth and Rik is very responsive, kind, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I just completed my refi and pulled $55k out of my house to pay off debt and for home repairs. My credit rating was not that good due to credit card debt after surviving the economic down-turn and lost wages. I tried for 3 years to pay down a massive amount of credit card debt, but wow did that provide futile. I had previously worked with 2 other mortgage lenders, and I cancelled both mid-stream after the undisclosed fees were so high, or after the lender changed the terms mid-stream and increased the rate. I had an excellent experience with Courtney and Jeff. Courtney always responded to me promptly, answered all my questions politely with the details I needed to help me make my decision. We've worked with other lenders and at times, their response made us feel like our questions were a bother. We've also refinanced with Wells Fargo before and always had to follow up with our rep there to ensure we close within a reasonable amount of time. We didn't have that issue here. We were able to close within 30 days without any trouble. Their refinance fees were just a tad bit higher than our last lender but it was well worth it to receive the service we received. It's easy to find lenders but not easy to find lenders who provide the personalized service we received. We will definitely be using DG Funding again. read more

I'm very happy with the services provided Rik and others at DG Funding. First of all, by selecting DG Funding to 1) refinance by 1st and 2nd mortgages (and consolidate them), and then to 2) obtain a HELOC, I got very, very competitive interests rates and terms, and was able to do so with a Jumbo Loan at an exceptionally high Loan to Value Ratio (90% in my case). More importantly, despite some problems with the initial appraisal (no fault of DG's--just an incompetent appraiser) and a few other challenging details, we ended up accomplishing everything we wanted to accomplish. It took about 2 - 3 weeks longer than expected, but had it not been for Rik and others at DG, it would have taken 2 months longer, or perhaps would have never happened. read more

We first tried a cash out refinance with a credit union and it was a nightmare due to their slow service and bad attitude. Steve and DG Funding reached out soon after and I figured it could not hurt to give him a call back. Steve quickly got us a preapproval/rate lock and did an excellent job shepherding us through the process. When any hiccups arose, Steve was quick to keep us apprised and modified the loan to best meet our needs. We closed ahead of schedule and closing costs were less than anticipated. I worked with Rik to get a home refinance, HELOC, and then a new mortgage for a 2nd home we purchased. Rik was extremely knowledgeable and helpful for all transactions. I decided to work with DG Funding because they sent me a mailer and when I looked them up online they had good reviews. Some bad but mostly good. I think the bad reviews are probably impatient people that were difficult to qualify. Over all Rik was very responsive and would let me know ahead of time to get documents prepared for underwriting. With that level of organization, he was able to close my new home purchase loan in 15 days in December. Most people could not believe that.
