I had the pleasure of closing my mortgage refinance recently with Bryce at MortgageOne. A month or so back, I received a letter in the mail from Mortgage One saying that I could get rid of my rotten PMI that I was way paying monthly to FHA (it was something like $445 per month). I talked to Bryce over the phone and was impressed with his service and explanations so I thought I would take them up on the offer. Less than thirty days later, we were closing on a loan saving me about $550 per month with a lower rate and no PMI! I was very impressed as they came through I what was promised. Several pieces of documentation were required throughout the process but I always felt like Bryce was in control of the situation and had complete confidence in him. Getting a loan can be tough as I know from past experiences, but this was a pleasant surprise. I am already recommending family members and will send more friends their way. Bad customer service. Never accessible by phone. Rude emails and service. No accountability.

Warning about Mortgage One I want to share my recent experience so others don't go through the same thing. In July 2025, I started working with Mortgage One through loan officer Mark Butrus. On July 31, I gave my credit card information to his processor to pay for an appraisal. The appraisal was completed, and Mortgage One even told me they would cover the cost of the follow-up visit. A short time later, I decided to switch to Turbo Mortgage because their rates and fees were much better. After that, things took a very troubling turn. On August 18, I received a fraud alert from my credit card company: a $496.55 charge attempt to the City of Warren (Michigan electric company). I live in Georgia and have no ties to Warren, MI. The only people who had my card information were at Mortgage One. When I questioned Mark about this, he denied any involvement, but the timing and location are extremely suspicious. Using a customer's credit card information for unauthorized charges is fraud. I am considering filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, CFPB, and law enforcement. I'm posting this to warn others: be very careful who you trust with your personal and financial information. Very high fees on my estimate and extremely rude people from receptionist up to the manager was my experience.

I reached out to mortgage one 2 weeks ago and close on my phone in l14 days. Allen, the lone specialist who I talked to was very knowledgeable. How about loans? He got me everything I needed, and he kept his word with the whole process. Andre was the other contact person who made sure i got all the attention and expertise available. One of the loan officers that represents this company showed up at my door unannounced and unmasked and wanted to discuss setting up a zoom meeting to refinance our mortgage. I'm not sure if this is the normal way this company does things, but It was not welcomed and unsafe. read more

I've been through the home loan process a few different times, and Bryce was by far the easiest to work with. I actually used him to buy my home, and then later I used him to refinance the same home. The rates had dropped considerably from the time I had bought my home, such that I was able to do a no-cost refinance and get my rate down three-quarters of a point, for free! I've referred him to several of my buddies who have also used him both for purchases as well as no-cost refinancing, and they've all loved him as well and have found his rates to be the very best out there. When I've used other real estate professionals in the past, I've felt like they were gouging me, and trying to take advantage of me to make extra money.
