After spending an over an hour trying to determine the issue with our dishwasher, he suspected that it might be an issue with the pump. He orders the pump, comes back in 3 days with the new pump, installs it and then determines that the issue was not the pump at all but was due to a leak from our main faucet that was causing the sensor on the dishwasher to think that it was leaking! After all of that, including the 2 visits, he wasn't going to charge us anything!!! I gave him some money because he deserved something for his time! But I couldn't believe that he wasn't going to charge my anything! In this day and age when everyone is trying to nickel and dime you to death and/or overcharge you for simply coming out to check on a problem, I found Mikhail to be a breath of fresh air! I subsequently hired him to fix a separate issue with our ice maker. And he of course fixed that quickly and at a reasonable rate! Would highly recommend!

You'll learn a few things in this review:…read more #1 - Never use the "self cleaning" feature on your oven. #2 - If you already did, and the excessive heat has blown out some small part hidden behind your oven, don't just assume you need a whole new oven. Everything is disposable these days but it's not yet time to replace your oven. #3 - Call Mikhail, owner of MC Appliance Repair. He can diagnose and fix your oven (and probably any other large appliance that isn't operating as it should). I have a double oven so one non-working oven wasn't a deal-breaker but I missed broiling salmon while roasting brussels sprouts. I priced double ovens and learned not only are they expensive, but there's so many different sizes that replacing what I've got likely also requires some costly carpentry work. It was easy to book an appointment with Mikhail. He arrived on time and readily diagnosed the problem. He stated a repair cost and said he could return as soon as he had the part (which was ordered that day). A couple days later he was back and my oven - both halves - are now working. And, he seconded the notion that one should never use the "self-cleaning" feature of an oven. MC Appliance Repair was neither cheap nor expensive but rather, far less than the cost of replacing my entire double oven. The cost of the visit is rolled into the overall estimate so, unless you fail to move forward with a repair, you're not being charged any additional amount. MC Appliance Repair operates in my neighborhood. The owner is smart, knowledgeable, timely, and gets things back to working as intended. Just knowing about Mikhail leave me feeling like my appliances - all of them - have a much longer shelf life than I'd otherwise assumed.

Mansur arrived first thing the next morning, easily discovered that the GE "expert" installed the part backwards. He fixed it (turns out, you don't need to pull the entire dishwasher out to replace the part...thanks again, GE), tested it, and also gave us guidance on some other pipes that weren't installed correctly by our contractor. Yesterday, DG TechNick came over to fix my leaking refrigerator. I was super frastrated and irrotated, but Nick was able to handle everything in a super fast and professional manner. He had to replace the defrost thermostat (I made a picture). Also he showed me how my airventilation was blocked! (Image attached) So after everything was taken care of and I cooled off from my intence day ( Everything had to go wrong that day!!) i decided to write a review for Nick. He deserves it! Good work ethics, good manners, good comunication skill, great work! I recommend him and want to say that I have had many bad experiances with contractora fixing my washer dryer and Plumbing and other stuff before and they all seem to be very angry on their life. Perfect experience A++++++ We noticed our dishwasher was not draining. As new homeowners I immediately searched for the nearest appliance support on Yelp and was so glad to have found Nick. I sent a message via Yelp, got a response from Nick within minutes, and was able to schedule this morning after contacting him in a panic last night. Highly reasonable fees for trip charge, troubleshooting, and service / repair. Nick was so friendly and knowledgeable! He called out quickly what he thought the issue was, cleared our garbage disposal air gap on the counter swiftly, and described what he was doing very patiently and in detail. Nick was very professional and he knows what he is doing. So much information and advise. I enjoyed conversation with him while he was fixing my whirlpool washer and dryer combo unit in a garage. He came out the same day when I called and he was able to fix it the next day. He had to get the parts for it. He was very polite and he put the booties on without me even asking! What a nice guy! No one does that ever! He also told me how to do maintenance for my GE refrigerator and dishwasher. And he advise to replace my old microwave oven that is been acting up lately. I hired DG Tech Appliance Repair for my GE refrigerator and microwave repair. I had no idea what was wrong with my fridge, but understood that it wasn't functioning correctly and needed to be repaired immediately before the freshly bought groceries started to spoil. I was able to avoid this by getting Nick to come out and provide the repair, just as advertised. He was knowledgable, nice and on time! Now my refrigerator and microwave has been restored with the original functions and my groceries didn't spoil! I had Nick come out yesterday because my microwave just quit on me. You dont realise how much you miss it until its gone! I was so sad. I couldnt heat up milk for kids or rehear food for myself. Wow. What a problem. So I called Nick @ DG Tech Appliance Repair. Nick was super nice over the phone and scheduled to come out on the same day! Later in the evening he should up. He called in advance. I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Nick fixing my Whirlpool stackable washer and dryer unit and my GE refrigerator at my house in San Rafael last Friday. My washer was acting up for a while but my refrigerator stopped cooling and I started freaking out and was calling everyone in the area. Noone wanted to come out on Friday, but Nick came out right away and I was very happy, because he fixed my refrigerator right away and he ordered the part for the washer and came back on Monday to complete the job. Wonderful sharp service. Nick was very very nice! Knowledgable. Fairly priced! I called because my Kitchen-Aid microwave oven combo unit broke. And its Christmas soon and I was worrying so much that It sill not be fixed on time. Nick explained to me how everything works and assured me that it will be fixed on time. The microwave part of it had a weird noise while cooking and oven part of it wasn't heating at all. Nick ordered some parts and came back in 2 days. Other companies over the phone was telling me it will take weeks because of holidays. I was very pleased with a service. Nick from DG Tech appliance repair came over to fix my GE refrigerator and to do the maintenance on my whirlpool washer and dryer. He was very polite. He was on time. Reasonably priced and very knowledgeable on appliance repair subject. I enjoyed talking to him and he was kind enough to put the booties on before he walked into my house. Very good service. I appreciate the way Nick communicates with all the time during the scheduling and repairs. He always called me in advance. He was always on time. He has a great deal of experience and knows exactly what he is doing. This could have been a real mess with lots of broken glass, but he worked carefully and there were no issues. He vacuumed the area just to be sure there were no little pieces of shrapnel left behind. We've had Mikhail repair a washer and a dryer in the past and his performance has always been fast and clean. On 11/14/25, I called the business and spoke with technician Mikhail Roytman. I explained that the baking function of my oven was not working. He said he could repair it and scheduled a visit for the next day between 9-10 AM. On 11/15/25, he arrived on time. I greeted him and offered a mask and shoe covers, which he declined, stating he couldn't work with a mask due to breathing issues. I allowed him to proceed. He inspected the oven for a few minutes using a wire tester and stated that he identified the issue. He said he had the replacement part in his vehicle and quoted a total repair cost of $345. I told him my landlord would cover the full repair cost. He then asked, "How much do you have right now?" I told him I could provide $75 immediately. At this point, he stated: * The service call was $115, then * The service call would be $75 + tax ($95) The stated amount changed multiple times. I repeated that I only had $75. He wrote a handwritten receipt for that amount. When I asked how he preferred to be paid, he said, "Anything." After confirming Venmo, he displayed his QR code, and I sent $75. I asked when the repair would be completed, and he said he needed to retrieve the part. As he left, he added that he would finish the job "when you have the rest." After he left, I called to clarify the next steps. He said the $75 "barely covered the service fee" and that he would return when the remaining amount was available. I explained that the service fee had not been stated beforehand and that my landlord was prepared to pay in full; I only wanted a clear explanation of charges. During this call, he yelled "Cancel payment!" repeatedly and hung up. I immediately requested the return of the $75 through Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, and Apple Pay. Shortly after my partner posted a review summarizing the incident, he texted me from a different number, saying he would refund the $75 if the review was removed. He later left a voicemail stating that the Yelp review was inaccurate and reaffirming that the $75 was a service-call charge. At no point did he wait for me to contact my landlord for payment, despite being told they would cover the full repair cost. The repair was not completed, and he did not return the $75 after telling me to cancel the payment. This review documents the full timeline of events and the communication between both parties.
