It was super yummy! Lots of great flavors it was super fast if your looking for a quick bit indoor and outdoor seating was nice. Give bucks per taco seems a bit much they are very good a filling though. Super excesssble lots of parking. People were super nice and biting you food carry out is super fast as well. Overall jsut a nice place with good seating lots of things around which is nice would be great for quick lunch or evening bites!

My daughter and i are having a "date" night and decided to try out DGT based on the yelp search for vegan and gluten free restaurants. This one popped up first and had 4.5 star average and 222 reviews at the time of teh search. We both opted to order a taco plate which consists of 2 tacos of your choice, and then a blend of kale, spices, rice and beans. The rice and beans are vegan friendly so that is always cool. Never know on beans. So lets start with the good : 1. the vibe is fun. It is very hippy-esque. 2. They offer trash, recycling and composting bins for when you are done with your meal so you can dispose accordingly 3. if you dine in, they do have regular plates and forks you can use so you dont have to worry about adding more trash to the environment 4. If you get a to-go container it is compostable and environmentally friendly. Not styrofoam which is always a plus in my opinion. 5. The earth, wind and fire taco I thought was very good and very flavorful. The blend of rice, beans, kale and spices was also really good and flavorful in my opinion. Not so good : 1. parking - not sure where exactly you are to park? it is in the music district and under the alley cat to give you perspective on where it is. We parked a few blocks away and walked in. That was not bad. Would just be good if it popped up as not necessarily spots to park so people knew in advance. 2. Staff was okay. I told him it our first time trying it and he just kinda stared at me blankly and waited for me to order. Maybe having an off night? not sure. 3. the tofu thai taco was pretty bland. My daughter thought the flavor was strange. I just thought it didn't have much flavor at all? 4. We both thought the chips (for chips and salsa) tasted a little stale and the salsa tasted like it was a little heavy on sweetener of some sort. Was not expecting a "sweet" tasting salsa. 5. not a ton of seating. There are 2 tables inside and then a couple of window seats. They do have a little outdoor seating. Not sure how busy they get but be prepared that seating might not always be an option. My daughter thought this place is for people who like uniquely flavored food. It is not the average type of taco place for sure. I am not sure we will be back. But it was fun to try something new.

This is one of my favorite Taco joints I have (get this) EVER been to. I don't just mean in Fort Collins I mean anywhere I have been. Now that's extreme but serious this place lives up to its name. Now I am vegetarian and that one of the things that makes it even more Damn good! My favorites is are the Thai Signature Taco and the Breakfast Bombshell is the BOMB! Now these days with the health crisis do make it so you can not eat in their nice dinning area jut the have hot sauces to go which is a nice thing. This is always my first stop to Fort Collins ever visit to town! I have been here countless times and the food is freakin awesome every time. The worst thing is I can get there food back in Chicago. :( A+ a must for anyone Yes they have meat options

Had high expectations from all the reviews but when I dined in everything was extremely bland and extremely overpriced. Also found it quiet disgusting that a worker brought her dog and kept him in the food storage room. Will not be returning. read more

Probably one of the better taco joints I've been to. The Thai flavored taco was pretty good along with barbacoa. Just a little bit pricey for what I'm used to for tacos but taste hellla good. read more

The name says it all. Best tacos I've ever found. Their recipes are different but simple, they have vegetarian options as well as gluten free options. Their menu continues to expand as they grow more popular. Two tacos for $5, and there's always crispy cheese coming out of the top. Super friendly service. And you can get your coffee at the same time, Alley Cat Cafe is right upstairs! read more

Me and my colleagues eat here once or twice a week. It can be kind of expensive but it's sorta hard to resist the food is so good. Definitely one of the best hippy taco shops I've ever been too. Which means a lot considering I'm from California and certainly have some opinions on tacos... But really the food is awesome here, I think I'm in love.... read more

Similarly priced to places like chipotle, but exponentially better and with a huge variety of flavors. The power bowls are the way to go if you're hungry. Everything I've had has been delicious and imaginative. The space is also very comfortable and seems to transport the mind to a place more exotic than Foco. I've also heard they have a food truck, but haven't spotted it yet. read more

Great location! Their tacos sort of remind me of food-truck tacos up in the Pacific Northwest, which is great because we don't often have that style here! Definitely recommend the Greek tacos! Friendly staff as well. read more

3 stars and this place should be named "Sorta Good Quesadilla-Sorta-Things" because that's more true to what they serve. I didn't see any tacos, although they call everything a taco. So upon eating them my mouth was more confused than the Mile High high schoolers that congregate upstairs. But I didn't hate it so I guess that's good. And for 3 bucks is pretty good too. This is my all time favorite place to get tacos. Their food is simple, but they know how to make it really really well. The environment is super low key and relaxed, which I really enjoy, and the food is also really affordable. Definitely go if you get the chance! read more

Just do it. They make this interesting Spicy Chocolate Horchata drink that's like the grown up version of chocolate milk but still better than you just imagined. If you're not sold on that, the tacos are just as yummy. It's not a huge menu but you'll still stand there trying to decide which is better for that specific moment...they're just all that good. I make a trip to colorado every year and dam good tacos has become a focal point of each visit. each time we go, there is something new on the menu and deciding what to eat is incredibly difficult because everything is so DAM good! this time i went for a power bowl which was a great option for a larger meal and a fuller tummy. the ingredients are fresh and leave you feeling awesome. satisfied without feeling like you put a brick in your stomach. my meal even complied with my new years cleanse! read more

This out-of-the-way funky place was a nice find when we were in need of a hearty dinner. We wanted to eat outside, but the constant smell wafting from the hookah bar next door forced us inside. My wife loved her thai bowl. I enjoyed my loaded burrito, however, since they mix everything together, I thought the ingredients could have used more separation in taste, temperature, and texture. Also, the only soda they serve is a Mexican Coke, so beware the lack of sodas, though they have tea, kombucha, and horchata. read more

I frequent this place to an embarrassing degree. But with food so dam good, there's no shame. Apparently before stumbling upon Dam Good Tacos, I had been incorrectly using the term "hole in the wall". Sorry, Webster. Aside from using the Alley Cat as a landmark, most people have no idea this place exists. And I almost want to keep it that way, a hidden gem among cheap, chain restaurants. DGT manages to compete for college students' seldom dollars by offering 2 for $5 any tacos, any combination, any time. Even my gluten free and vegan friends can find something on their menu. And I don't mean the token vegan item, they have multiple tacos to cater to all dietary needs. I'll stop rambling now, but I guess all I'm trying to say is that these are Dam Good Tacos! read more

So it's a little hard to find as it's actually down an alley off of Laurel. The pork taco and chicken taco were worth the walk. I actually went back for another pork taco it was so good. Friendly people and there was no wait even though it was close to noon. Definitely will have again. read more

They aren't just gluten free - they're really good with allergies in general. I'm allergic to wheat, soy, oranges, black pepper, ginger, and more, and they were able to accommodate me. Further, they took the time to do so - the cook came out to talk to me and help me find something I could eat. Oh, maybe it's just my Seattle sensibilities, but the prices were great too. read more

The price is good, but there's not much on the menu that sounded appealing. I got a couple pork tacos and it was okay but nothing I'd really put in the top 5. There's not a lot of meat or anything in them, more like a quesadilla with some meat, cheese and some kind of sauce I think. read more

My wife and I went there for lunch the other day. I got the $10 taco plate which comes with 2 of any tacos on their menu and rice and beans (I recommend the Bandito), and she got the breakfast tacos. Everything was outstanding. The seating area is cozy and the service was quick. The restaurant itself is kind of tucked away, and a little hard to find for the first time. The address says W Laurel st, but to get to the parking lot, turn right onto S Mason St and then right again at the first alley by "The Mayor of old town". read more

I am crazy about this gem of a restaurant. I simply cannot go to Fort Collins without stopping in to get my fill of delicious, authentic, and simply made taco treats. Fusion tacos including Greek, Thai, Italian, Cajun, Mexican, New American flavors. We have several vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. All drinks are make with organic ingredients, from original recipes. Our menu is great for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night. Everything is made from scratch and local ingredients are mixed into the menu seasonally.

History

Established in 2012.

It was a sunny day, June 2nd, 2012. Christopher Camp and Michael Falco set forth on an culinary endeavor that broke all traditional boundaries and concepts of tacos. After a whirlwind of taco victories in Basalt, CO - Chris returned to being a chef and Michael moved to the Front Range to spread taco love throughout all of Fort Collins. On June 28th, 2013 Ali Hatcher and Michael Falco opened Dam Good Tacos in the heart of Fort Collins, across from CSU campus. DGT is a bustling and non-conventional dining experience, a must-see!

You arrive, place your order, and they'll deliver to your table or give you a buzzer so you can pick up. The restaurant itself is charming, bright, and clean. It has a really great vibe. The best part is the popular patio area especially on beautiful, sunny days. Rainbow is a good restaurant, just not for me.

Our fabulous server Clementine was there--we remembered her from last year. This is I think our third or fourth time here in as many years. An order of beignets started us off. These are square and no-kidding as big as my hand. Each. Four of them. Yeah, beignets are mostly air but one order was plenty for the two of us. I ordered the Eggs Pontchartrain---pan-fried trout filet, poached eggs, smothered in sauce bearnaise. I ordered the side of grits, plain, though I've also had their cheese grits. Both are stellar. Fabulous breakfast plate! Wife N went with the classic Benedict, ham, poached eggs, hollandaise, plain grits on the side. Delicious as always. Coffee is dark and fabulous. Side biscuit was super-fluffy and the housemade strawberry rhubarb jam hit the spot. Fabulous as always, see you again next year!

My friend got a pancake flight (how cool is that?!) and the pancakes were huge! Visually they looked a bit on the dark side. But they were very filling. We also tried the chicken and waffles. The chicken was great, the waffle was not crispy at all. Both complimented each other well. The best part... our server was fast, on it, and well seasoned. He knew what we needed every time and was awesome.

I've been waiting for something like Dam Good Tacos to come to Fort Collins the full ten years I've lived here. Good thing they weren't around when I first got here, though. They're located in the same alley that I used to live in. I would have become so fat, you'd have to roll me places. I guess the close proximity would have been convenient, since I could just roll my taco-loving ass down the alley, and order at the bike-up window. :) In a town with as many restaurants as we've got here, it's pretty exciting to gain a restaurant that actually, legitimately offers something new. They've got Thai tacos, sweet potato tacos, homemade vegan horchata...all kinds of delicious offerings, and every time I go, I feel like I'm on a tasty little adventure. By the time I started eating at Dam Good, I had already become vegan. Part of me wishes I'd discovered it earlier, because I'm sure their meat tacos are delightful. I also wish I had had the opportunity to munch the meat tacos because they've got this crispy cheese crest that probably tastes great, and makes my friends look really cool while they're eating it. Is that weird? They've just added a few excellent items to the menu, including a tofu salad, which is absolutely fantastic. There's a lot of stuff I haven't tried, but I give this place major points for how vegan-friendly it is. Plus, I happen to know that they use locally-produced, organic tofu. Drink the hibiscus tea while you're there. Now that it's summer, you can sip it out of a mason jar outside. Pretty much you can't beat that. The owners are really cool people--always friendly, energetic, and it's clear that they love what they do. It's really refreshing to see that. OK. Long review. I love this place. So much. read more

It is rare that you get done with a excellent meal and you are looking for an adjective to describe the place, or meal you just had, and you find it in the name. Dam good Tacos are, well, they are just Dam Good! Having grown up on the east coast and having the opportunity to live in many places in our country. I get asked many times a year why I picked Fort Collins to settle down in. While their are many reasons, some places assure me I know why I live here. Dam Good Tacos are so simple, yet so delicious. The flavors for me just work. From the quesadilla chips to one of their many delicious taco creations, everything is done right, and most important is always consistent. The shop it self is vibrant, unique, and local. By far a hidden gem, but so glad when you find it. Not to mention the staff here is always so friendly. They treat you how you would like to be treated, and that goes a long way in my book. So overall if you could not tell by now, I am a big fan of Dam Good Tacos. 100% one of my favorite places to eat in Fort Collins, and always a meal and experience that has me so satisfied that I look forward to my next trip. read more

I had a truly terrible experience at this taco restaurant. Despite its high reviews, the food was completely inedible. My single taco, which was priced exorbitantly at seven dollars, was covered in an overwhelming amount of salt and had a slimy texture that made it nearly impossible to eat. To make matters worse, I wasn't allowed to customize my taco with basic ingredients, which was disappointing. The young person who took my order had a terrible attitude and made me feel uncomfortable. I had to repeat my order multiple times while she looked at me with an open mouth. Overall, this place seemed poorly managed by college kids who were disorganized and lacked basic customer service skills. If you're craving good tacos, I'd recommend looking elsewhere in FOCO. read more
