An old past Buffalonian here. Was searching the web for an old fashioned Placek (Broadway market type) and found your bakery. Easy to order and came quick (even though came UPS) and fresh. I recently stopped in to grab a few slices of pizza to go for breakfast and was not disappointed. I came on a Saturday morning to grab a cheese slice + a brocolli veggie slice. The two slices came to about $5 which was on the pricier side for a smaller square slice pie. They were cold (you can ask for them to be reheated). I think the trick is to come at the end of the day when some of these slices are let go for $1. The other pastries here looked so good, if they taste even half as good as they look...then it's definitely a 5-star business. I'm not sure I'd come back here for the pizza slices unless it's a convenience-in a hurry sort of thing like this trip was, but I'm definitely scoping out some of those pastries! read more

Di Camillo Bakery is a local and family owned bakery in Niagara Falls. Came here Christmas Eve and they are so busy, a lot of people were waiting in line. No wonder why it's all packed. They have great selections of Italian Bread, Donuts, cookies, pies, cakes, homemade pizza and some other pastries. They even sell packaged pasta, honey, jam, marinara, and many others. Fair prices. Good customer service, but they need more sales floor to make the flow of line go faster. Napoleon and Chocolate custard donuts are our fave. read more

Surprised to see some of the negative reviews here ! Di Camillo's is a neighborhood bakery for me and I am happy to be able to say this. I come for a few things repeatedly that are tried and true. First, the bread. This is a no brainer. Baked fresh , true artisan Italian. I think I could eat a whole loaf in one sitting. it is made without shortening, sugar or preservatives, so you will want to eat it within a couple days or freeze it. The custard puffs are another of our favorites as well as their carrot cake. The pizza we love, but it may not be everyone's thing. They have at least 4 varieties, some with veggies, one with romano instead of parmesan and of course pepperoni. I myself like their pizza cold, but I think it is best taken to go and warmed up ( especially if you can toss it in an over for a few minutes. ) It is a little heavier on the sauce, less so on the cheese. You can also find a small selection of books on the history and culture of the Falls area. There is a good selection of cakes, cookies, pastry and pies all which look divine.There is a nice selection of packaged of pasta( and a sauce) if you want to pick up something for dinner while there. A small refrigerated area carries a few grocery essentials and some day old discounted items as well. There are some beautiful packaged items that would make a nice gifts too. You will not be able to eat in (unless you can grab the one table in the vestibule area), and no, you will not likely find donuts anytime soon. Nothing really that great inside. I tried the napoleons the cheesecake and the cannoli (which was by far THE WORST cannoli I've ever had in my life) the ladies behind the counter helped everyone except for me because they thought I was being helped by someone else- I wasn't. Honest mistake though, especially had they been busy- they weren't. Really it's nothing special and it's not worth your time money or effort. The cheesecake is decent if you're into cheesecake though. I will give them that. And the ladies behind the counter were apologetic for forgetting about me which I truly appreciated. But seriously! So while in town visiting family, I didn't have that great an experience at Tim Horton's, so I was told by my nephew that I should have went to Di Camillo Bakery, so I did. I walked in, nicely lit place, and I like the products that got your attention as you made your way to the counters. It's easy to upsell in this fashion, as I bought a half dozen bakery items, and I also bought some peach jam while there also. I mainly bought them so we could be good for the ride back home to Illinois, but most of them didn't make the ride as they were too good!! Just overall, a very nice selection!! The older ladies were pretty nice, but the non-verbal communication of the one young lady who was there the morning I came in said that she seemed quite annoyed every time she went int he back and the older ladies called her to help with customers. Trust me, it was written all over her face that she did not want to be there that day. I had a chocolate cannoli and it was amazing! A little strange - it had what seemed like canned pineapple in the filling, instead of lemon, orange, or maraschino cherry. Some people may like heavier ricotta in the filling, but I actually loved the lighter creamy filling. Their pizza is amazing. Check out the discount rack, biscuits and scones are great too. Getting "knocked" in the parking lot by a little old lady driver who clipped my vehicle was not a fun start to this coveted bakery experience. Not having any available "eat-in" seating was the next "strike" (single table on porch was taken by screaming children with parent not in attendance). I was surprised to see this bakery being used as a savory lunchtime option. So I ordered a pizza square (clerk advised the mozzarella topping better than the romano topping), along with a creme puff and a raspberry coconut cookie. The pizza square was not heated and did not enjoy it luke-cool with hardened cheese crust. They should've asked this new customer if I wanted it heated since I did not know/could not tell. Raspberry cookie was dried out and flavorless. The mini creme puff was yum. Service was mediocre, had they been enthusiastic I probably would've taken half a dozen baked items--but seriously, they should've heated the pizza prior to serving. The place looks large and stately and inviting from the outside. Selection, courtesies and taste were a let down. read more

They had neither but did have a maple apple thingy, so I being the customer asked the rude man behind the counter who badgered me about being ready to order... I was dead wrong. I tried 3 different cookies and the quality is very poor and not very tasty either. It was good.I would recommend. Sugared jelly doughnut was really good dough but the "jelly" wasn't jelly at all. More like pie filling. The eclair was just meh. Packed full of cream but the pastry tasted funny and stale. Like maybe it had been previously frozen. I am sitting in my home, in Arizona, eating Di Camillo bread, carefully flown home by my mother! Each visit, each time a family member goes "home" to Niagara, they are to go to Di Camillo's to purchase 5 loafs of bread, one for each family household. Di Camillo's was a Sunday tradition in our family. First church, then Di Camillo's for breakfast of donuts and loaves of bread to bring to Sunday dinner at Grandma's house. This is the best Italian bread out there. Nothing else compares. We are heading over from Hamilton Ontario Canada to get our fix of the large sliced Italian loaves (probably 6). Staff always either adds freezer bags for us or actually places the loaves in freezer bags. We only eat bread in our house when we have Di Camillos. Our toaster sits sad and lonely when we are out of our favourite bread. This bread is great grilled on the BBQ with olive oil and garlic rubbed on after. We also love the ricotta and spinach pizza (yum-if you like ricotta). The chocolate and banana cream pies are great too. read more
