Buyer beware, this place is a joke! I bought a Groupon deal ($69) way back in the Summer. Called and left a voice mail (apparently Robert never picks up the phone - trust me, I called several times over the past few months). Robert called after a few days and said the next available appointment was in 3 months!!! Yeah 3 months! I reluctantly took it as I had already paid on Groupon. On the day of the appointment, I was looking for a commercial area and could not find this place. Left a voice mail - but as usual got no call back. Robert runs this service from his house (yes, this place is in a residential area). Dude, at least put that on your website or on the Groupon deal. Robert is the boss, and his son and another Hispanic guy "details" the cars. Anyhow, left the car and he called after 3 hours. That was a little weird, I thought. Auto detailing should have taken a little longer, right? Well all my worst fears came through when I saw the car. It was just a car wash (plus carpet shampooing)!!! Robert mentioned that he "could not get some marks off and that you would need deep cleaning and waxing." Well WTH is "auto detailing" then? The deal clearly mentioned AUTO DETAILING with wash, wax, clay bar treatment, and interior/exterior detailing. NOTHING was done in my case! I just got a $69 car wash!!! These fools didn't even clean the mirrors inside. At least my $12 neighborhood car wash vacuums and cleaned all the mirrors inside. And they didn't even Armor All the dashboard. I could have just bought one at Walmart for $5. Robert was in no mood to negotiate (probably given that it was Saturday evening), so I took off. Needless to say I called and canceled my appointment for the other car the very next day. Folks, please keep in mind the difference between auto DETAILING and a good car wash. Like the other reviewers before me, it seems like we all got duped with a Amazon Local / Living Social deal! I too, am an unhappy customer. After almost a month of playing phone tag with a voice-mail at Diablo Auto Polishing (sadly, I have the voice-mail message memorized), Robert rudely called me back and we scheduled an appointment for his first "available" - which was 1.5 months out. As a working person who commutes 45 minutes each way, his times of 9-5 Monday though Friday were really inconvenient but I figured since I had a morning window to work with and half a month to work out the timing with my job. I was officially scheduled for July 19, from 9-11am. Fast forward to July 19th. I end up taking a day of work to wait at home for Robert and his team. 8:40am my house phone rings and he leaves me a message that is jumbled and I can't understand what he is saying. I figure it was along the lines of, "we are on the way". 9am comes and goes, 9:15am comes and goes. My car is still dirty. At 9:15am I decide to call him back and surprise, surprise, there is no answer. I call him 3 more times from 9:15 to 10:15, and still no answer. At 2pm, still no Robert, I call again. No answer and no one has called me to say why no one has showed up. I wasted a well earned vacation day, my car is still dirty, I'm short, $69, and I'm MAD. Today is Sunday and I still haven't heard from Robert. And, yes, I called again today. This is worst customer service I have ever experienced. If the "mobile" part of the business isn't working or is too much to get correct, maybe Robert needs to switch to just a shop where people come to you. Assuming that people can take time off work to wait around during a window of time for you to show, and then you don't is NOT good business ethic, and to be honest, it's just rude. I called left a voice message and Robert (sorry if I get the name wrong) called me back and scheduled an appointment . Waiting time was 45-60 days for next appointment but I was in no hurry. Today I got the car detailed and I loved the job done. All swirls marks gone and I see my G37 as good as new :) With groupon you dont get the pick-up/drop and I was a bit sad but the quality of work done is superb that I forced myself to give 5 starts instead of 4. Great job. According to Yelp, this business doesn't take credit cards so I called to find out if that was true. I have 2 cars that need some cleaning so I figured a credit card would be the best was to pay. When he picked up the phone, his first question was to ask if I was calling from a business. Since I was looking to get our 2 company cars cleaned, I said yes. From there we played phone tag. That lasted a month. I then gave the responsibility of scheduling to my mom. She managed to get a hold of him and he schedule a time for May! (yes, from that point, it had been a month of trying to get a hold of him and his earliest appointment was two months later). He didn't show up in May. When my mom called to ask him what happened, he explained he had an emergency. Ok, fine. Then, I started calling. His next appointment was in July. He came to wash my dad's car on Monday. When I saw the car in the evening, it looked brand new and shiny. They did an EXCELLENT job both inside and out which is why I'm giving him 3 stars. I finally got my car done last week, and they did a good job! The best part about it was Robert took me to the local coffee shop because I didn't have a ride and he thought it was waaaay too cold for me to be walking around for hours. When the car was finished he picked me up from the library that I walked to. Also, he was very thorough with the interior which is what I was most concerned about. However, the outside was not as good (not his fault), blame it on the months of parking under trees! Smh. So I needed to get our 10 year old Ford Escape detailed for the first time. We called and found out that Robert lives close by in the Woodcreek Oaks Blvd area. We dropped the car the next day after arranging all via txt messaging. The car driven the last two years from our teenager to school in Sacramento and doing carpool duty for four teenagers before was in dire need of a inside and outside detailing. When we picked up the car in the evening it was super clean in and outside. No chemical smell and the paint actually looked shiny and like new. Quite honestly I have no idea what it says, except that they reply to all their calls - which is a load of complete and utter bullsh!t. I've called multiple times for months and never heard back - not once. You can say what you like about "replying to everyone" but facts are facts. Lastly, I understand that not everyone has perfect grammar, but if you're a business owner attempting to present a professional appearance to your customers, at the very least, learn what a comma does, learn what a period is (and concurrently, what a run on sentence is) and spell out the word "you" - "u" is unacceptable. Instead you talk with your customers as if you want them to have a mansion or a warehouse. You have too many requirements for a mobile unit, you should open up your own place that will help you and a lot of your customers a lot of hassle. I redeemed an AmazonLocal deal for a detail of a car for $69. ($99 for a LARGE SUV...WHAT A BARGAIN!) First off, I must say that Robert did an AMAZING JOB making my 2008 Jeep Patriot look "Showroom New" again...considering how it looked "Pick-N-Pull Bucketish" before he put hands on it! He REALLY knows his craft! KUDOS TO YA! Now...to the Nitty Gritty... NITTY- Considering that when I got the voucher, it did take me some time to get off my butt and book an appointment; not knowing that it would take some more patience to get a call back. And again even more patience for not knowing that they would close down for a month due to a death in the family (My Condolences). But finally, after 6 months, and the voucher expiring, I finally got a call back from Robert. He was VERY nice, pleasant and super accommodating OVER THE PHONE! I asked him that since my voucher expired while his shop was closed, would he still honor it. He said, "Of Course...Not a problem". Then, to get more clarity on the specifics of my voucher, I specifically asked him about the terms of my voucher when it came to pricing....$69 per car and $99 for LARGE SUV's. He asked me what kind of car I had and I told him that I have an itty bitty Jeep Patriot. I wanted to make sure that I bought the correct purchase. He said no problem at all. I will honor your voucher. We set the 9AM appointment for nearly 2 months later. I was fine with that. At least we were getting somewhere. GRITTY - So Detail Day came and I get a call at 8:30AM the day of to confirm that we were still on...Kind of last minute, if you ask me. But I was still happy because my car was about to get a supreme makeover. He was a little bit delayed on getting there because he said his GPS lead him to the incorrect address...which didn't make sense to me because he called me with a little "TUDE" saying, "I'm at your address and I can't do you car if I I don't have anywhere to park." He was calling from the 300 block of my street when I clearly gave him a 500 block address. Anyway.... still no worries. He got to my home and began setting up shop to perform a miracle. About an hour into the makeover session, he calls me outside to let me know that the voucher I gave him is expired. Then I reminded him of our conversation about when he said that he would still honor it. Then a few minutes later he calls me back out and informs me that the voucher is for a car detail and that I owe him $30 more dollars because my Itty Bitty Jeep Patriot is Technically an SUV. I reminded him again that we discussed this on the phone before we made the appointment and he told me that there was no problem. After debating back and forth for about 5 minutes, I gave in. I told him that I didn't have any cash on me and he would have to take a check. He agreed. I just wanted him to get done and be gone. Then another hour later, he was nearly finished and he called me back outside again and told me "Forget the $30 charge. He asked me if I was a Yelper. And I told him Yes....(Just not to what degree...HEHEHE!) Then he said, He'll forget about the $30 if I would just leave him a Yelp Review". I told him NOT a problem. I will DEFINITELY do that! After 2 1/2 hours of miracle work, the way my car now looked...it nearly brought tears to my eyes. I was very satisfied with the results and he had nearly redeemed himself. 3 days later, I get a call from Robert, which That struck me kind of odd, reminding me that I said that I would leave a Yelp Review for him and he wanted to confirm that I would keep my word and do so. I told him that I would do it by the end of the day. I thought Reviews were written at the customer's own free will and because We liked or hated a particular service. Well...to make a long story short....LIFE HAPPEND and I was unable to get down to writing my Yelp review on Sunday but I am a woman of my word and would definitely get around to it when I had the time. So yesterday...(3 more days later), I get a voicemail from Robert stating that he just wanted to know if I was still going to leave my Yelp Review like I said I would. Then he continues to say, "I've been checking Yelp to see if you left it and I didnt see anything yet. Pros: Nice guys Price Cons: Quality of work Reliability My experience: I bought an Amazon local deal for my SUV. I thought it was a deal at $99. Robert was very nice and friendly However, he canceled last minute 3 times over the course of 5 months. After they finally did my car, the job was a $99 job, I would never pay full price! The pouch behind the seat had a cup of dirty water. They broke a rearseat belt and didn't even bother trying to put it back together. They didn't touch the dashboard or the pockets in the doors. There were little bits of stuff all over the car that took me like 10 minutes to clean up. The console had dirty streaks and pools of water that had to be sopped up with a paper towel. Lots of streaks on windows etc. They also left all the little bits of stuff in the driveway which I needed to sweep up. Overall, it only took them 2 hours. For a wash, wax and detail on a large SUV, it should have taken much longer. The attitude of "this customer didn't pay much, and I want to be done early" was very evident. This job could not be called a "detail" because the details are what was overlooked. They get 2 stars instead of 1 because for $99, it was probably worth it. The hubby dropped the car off and 4+ hours later, the car was squeaky clean and lookin just as good as when we first bought it 7 years ago! Stains removed, dash restored (no more dullness), carpets and mats shampooed, and all crevices vacuumed. Paid an extra $30 to get the headlights 'restored'. After a morning of their detailing efforts it looks as good as when I bought it (11 years ago!). He warned me that not all the dog hair would come out, but I certainly don't see any. My reaction on see the polished headlights was WOW !! I purchased the "Headlight restoration" Groupon and went to the location. After an initial crossed appointment, Robert was waiting . He got his tools and performed the "magic" on the foggy headlights. Now my 8-year Infiniti headlights are crystal clear and like new. Comparing the two headlights when only one was done was simply breath-taking. And it tooks just about 15 minutes to repolish the two headlights. Thanks for an awesome job.!! read more

I got a deal from livingsoical for $69 for packages 1 and 4 for One Car Including Hand Wash, Paint Inspection, and Clay Bar Application. I also got Cleaning for Two Headlights for $29. Original price would have been $229. I called in January to make an appointment and I knew he was pretty book for a couple of weeks by reading the review on yelp but I wasn't in a rush or anything to clean my car. My appointment was in March and I thought I was going to have to drop my car off around 9 to 10 am but instead Robert (the owner) actually came over @ 9am and did the detail cleaning in front of my house which is even better!! I didn't know that. LOL I was still half a sleep when he called me since I just got back from vacation the night before. Anyways, he did an AWESOME JOB! My car look brand new!!! I really think its worth it because he actually take his time to get clean. Took about two hours for Robert and one of his guy to clean my car. I didn't mind that it took two hours because you wanna get your money worth. It's a detail cleaning not a regular car wash. OVERALL highly recommend!!! I actually know Robert's son personally and I remember way back then when we were in high school he told me that the 49ers football players get their cars detail at his dad's shop. So Robert must be REALLY GOOD which he is. I suggest that: 1. If you purchased any livingsoical or groupon deal & etc... make sure call right away to make an appointment because you want to use the deal before it expire. Robert is book about 2 to 3 months advance. I think he is so busy because it just himself and one or two of his employees running this auto detail business. If you need a car wash ASAP then don't even buy the deal because you wont get your car wash right away. 2. His business hours are from Monday to Friday I think from 8 or 9 am to 5pm. No weekends. I thought he was available on the weekend since I do work from M-Fri so good thing I just came back from vacation and had an extra day off to get my car detail. 3. He usually don't answer his phone which is fine I'm sure his busy cleaning someone's car just make sure you leave a message. If he doesn't call back in a couple of days just call again. I think he gets a lot of voice mail. I remember calling and his voice was full and I couldn't leave any more message. LOL 4. Don't plan to use the car for a couple hours during the day you are getting your car detail. We just had our second mobile detail from these guys this past Saturday. First time was a large black suv (looked great!), and this time, that same suv, plus a black sedan. Both these cars are fairly scratched up and 10 years old. They both came out looking awesome! This morning I had a coworker ask if I had gotten new wheels on the SUV! Nope! Picked up a new to me 09 Mini Cooper S a few weeks ago, and decided I needed to get it detailed. I actually met Robert at a local cigar shop, and he seemed like a great guy. Two weeks later I had an appointment booked and dropped my car off in the morning. Was able to pick it up around 3PM, and WOW. What a fantastic job. Robert really went above and beyond what I had asked him to do, and the car looks FLAWLESS. Can't say enough good things about him.
