: I've always trusted Gold Rush Subaru with my car's service needs. I even travel almost two hours one way to bring my Subaru to this service center, but my recent experience was a rollercoaster, to say the least. To start, in the summer of 2023, my LCD radio screen began to develop "bubbles" across it. When I called to inquire about it, I was told it was my fault for wiping it with a wet washcloth--which I knew was completely untrue. After doing a little of my own research online, I discovered Subaru of America had issued an extended warranty for this manufacturer defect. I called back to explain this to the service advisor, and we discussed bringing my car in for a replacement. Fast-forward to April 2024. After speaking with the service advisor, he said he would call me back within a week or two when a loaner vehicle was available. However, month after month passed. I even made multiple appointments that ended up being rescheduled--sometimes due to something on my end, but more often on theirs. In the meantime, a laundry list of issues developed with my car. These included a tear in my seatbelt, the TPMS monitoring system lights flashing on and off, and, worst of all, an extreme stutter that made the car nearly undrivable. When I finally dropped the car off, I explained to the service advisor that the stutter only occurred once the car was warmed up and driven at least 10 miles. The next day, I received a text message from the service advisor stating that there was nothing wrong with the TPMS system and that the mechanic was unable to duplicate my concerns about the stutter. He also said the radio and seatbelt would be replaced under the factory defect warranty from Subaru of America. However, he insisted that my car needed the 60,000-mile servicing. When I informed him that most of the major components of the 60,000-mile service had already been completed elsewhere, he suggested spark plugs and throttle body cleaning would help my supposed stutter--if there even was one--since the mechanic "couldn't duplicate the issue." His tone was condescending, rude, and dismissive throughout the entire conversation. Not only did he dismiss my concerns and make me feel like I was imagining the issue, but he also failed to follow my instructions to properly replicate the problem. Despite my clear explanation, he drove the car just 2 miles in the two weeks it was at the shop (as proven by the total miles at pickup)--nowhere near enough to trigger the stutter. He assured me that replacing the spark plugs would fix any problem I thought I had, which turned out to be partially untrue. While the spark plugs did make a noticeable difference, the stuttering issue persisted after coasting or at certain RPMs. The service advisor refused to acknowledge or apologize for being wrong at any point. He even charged me nearly $1,000 for warranty-covered work and unnecessary repairs. To make matters worse, when I picked up the car, I noticed they had replaced my dark gray/black seatbelt with a tan-colored one that completely clashed with the interior. His lack of accountability, dismissive attitude, and blatant disregard for my concerns completely destroyed my trust in the service center and their mechanics' capabilities. Thankfully, the service center manager, Marquis, stepped in and turned things around. Marquis was incredible--genuine, honest, and deeply committed to resolving the situation. He refunded the unnecessary charges, ensured all issues were properly addressed, and kept me informed throughout the process. Although it took another two weeks (a total of one month), Marquis personally ensured my car was fixed and safe to drive again. His professionalism and integrity restored some of my faith in the dealership, and I'm incredibly grateful for his exceptional customer service. On the drive home after picking up my car for the final time, my husband mentioned how refreshing it was to have a situation involving high emotions and a significant financial investment--having spent $40,000 on this vehicle--resolved so professionally. No one had to yell, fight, or scream. Everything was handled properly, and I left the establishment feeling heard, seen, validated, and deeply grateful. While I still have concerns about trusting the service center as a whole, Marquis's dedication saved this experience from being a complete disaster. Nicest Service team ever! But, I recently had suspensions, alignment and brake work done on my vehicle. As I was driving home, the warning lights came on for tire pressure. When I took my car back in, I was told that two of my four sensors were all of a sudden not working and it was going to cost another thousand dollars to fix. Obviously the work I had done to my vehicle previously caused the new issue. They aren't taking responsibility so I am not happy. read more

We were at a nearby gas station and he brought us an oil fill cap since ours had accidentally fallen down into the engine compartment and we couldn't reach it. He was so helpful and friendly. After a tire rotation, the lug nuts came off a wheel while driving. The General Manager's respondence in part was: "We change oil and rotate tires hundreds of times a month. Typically, the technicians doing that type of work are newer in the industry with less experience. While we utilize a redundant approach to several aspects of their processes and training it would be unrealistic to assume that they will not make mistakes. Based on your comments about Palmer's findings regarding incorrect torque settings on every lug on the vehicle it could have been a mistake in verifying the correct torque settings or a torque tool that fell out of spec. While we try our best to make sure our technicians are consistent and proficient, I would be disingenuous if I tried to say they don't make mistakes from time to time like every other servicing facility." read more

They do not care about you as a customer, they are liars, lazy, incompetent, rude, and VERY unprofessional! If you go over there you will notice that no one is in the lot looking to buy a single car...plan to stay there 3 hours if you go to the "service" department....these people are so incompetent they couldnt even fix my side mirror on my brand new 2024 impreza RS...first time they tried they say they tightened something in the mirror components and by the time i started to drive home it was like they didnt do anything....then I had then replace the same mirror 2 times and the mirror shakes so bad you cant even read or see clearly out of it when the passenger mirror is a rock like it should be....so now when i go out to me can i can physically take the passenger mirror and feel that it is tight to the car without shake and the driver side mirror you can feel there is play from where they attached it to the car and thats why it shakes!....THESE MORONS TRIED TO TELL ME THAT THERE ARE MOVING COMPONENTS IN MIRROR HOUSING AND THATS WHY IT SHAKES.....IF THATS THE CASE WHY DOESNT THE OTHER MIRROR SHAKE YOU IDIOTS?....if i notice this way didnt they? because they are incompetent and they think you'll just accept their crap service and go away instead of doing their job and actually fixing the problem they were hired to do. you have been warned! go someplace else!!!! they do not deserve your business, PERIOD! read more

Took by 2015 outback in for spark plug change, on 4/17/19 bill was $230.00. Pick up same day, went home looked under hood,service tech left a socket,and 6" ext. on top of engine. Next day went on four hour drive herd noise . When at home looked around found 2 spark plugs and 2 bolts from battery box, laying on bottom pan. Called Subaru brought back , they checked and 3 bolts were missing on battery box . 3 hours of my day missing .they should have credited the bill read more

CAN NOT RECOMMEND SERVICE DEPARTMENT When my 2005 Subaru Outback failed on me twice within a week with the gas pedal suddenly not functioning I had the car towed to Goldrush Subaru. When they finally looked at it on the third working day after it had been towed there, the lady in the service department told me since the "service engine" light was not on anymore that nothing was wrong with the car. They charged me 119$ for giving me back a car that could kill others by suddenly failing again while driving down the freeway . I had the car towed to another facility that drove the car around until it failed (within a few miles), diagnosed the issue correctly, fixed it promptly and delivered it to me. I've been bringing my old subaru to these guys for service for several years. It all started when I had the dreaded blown head gasket. Their price for job was reasonable and they did a great job. 100,000 miles later and the engine is still running great. At the time I had a good talk with the mechanic when the engine was on the bench. He was explaining all the details of the repair to me and showing me the disassembled engine and where the problems were.
