They unlocked my Sprint phone when everyone else in the city said they couldn't do it.

So my go-to place closed, and Verizon recommended Dialnet. Of course, since Verizon recco'd it, I figured Dialnet was more about money than customer service -- however, I was happily surprised. To the nitty-gritty -- I brought my droid in; I could not turn the phone on -- the battery was dead, and no matter what I did -- I couldn't charge it. Sean (maybe spelled Shawn) took it, looked it over, told me that he'd replace the battery and charging mechanism (which is the thing at the bottom of the phone you plug the charger into) for around $120. It was maybe a little more than I wanted to spend, but certainly less than a new phone would cost. When Sean/Shawn gave me the phone back, it worked fine. After a few days, the phone died after a few hours of use. I brought it in again. Sean / Shawn replaced the battery / mechanism for free, and gave me a new one... A few days later, the same thing happened. I brought it in again. Sean / Shawn tried one last time (for free) to replace everything -- and it didn't work. It bordered on ridiculous... Sean/Shawn chalked it up to bad batch of batteries, and ordered a new batch. It took a few days, but when they came in, Sean / Shawn replaced those, and when I got my phone back -- it worked perfectly. Sean / Shawn was kind and amenable throughout the process, and never charged me beyond the initial fee to replace my battery. I should not have been charged, of course, due to faulty parts, but the fact I didn't need to argue about this made me feel like dialnet cares about their customers over profit! Caught them on their lies and obviously got very disrespectful treatment after that. They didn't even try to listen or help me. Their "original" Apple parts are actually fake. They do their work with such a rush. Many companies repair phones and probably they all know how to change screens but there is no reason to lie or to be rude to costumer. My phone just kept on acting up after their "repair" and I went to a different place to fix it and what came out is that they put fake Apple parts from China into my phone even tho I was told and paid for original ones. So yeah.. probably most of you don't even know what garbage is inside your phone now. Happy breaking! read more

I organised some prices to purchase new phones from the guys here prior to leaving, came in and they unlocked them on the spot, I even picked up anothe phone for my wife while I was in there. Each time I went in they were SUPER busy, but it seemed they would let you drop off, and then come back to pick up later. Well where do I start; this is the 2nd time in a 3 month period I cracked my iphone phone screen. Once you crack you phone screen, your phone tends to work slower and then you have to deal with the ungodly 60-80$ fee. So here I am having to face the inevitable slower phone and ungodly charge, again. This time I decided to use dialnet, my sister and friends raved about the prices and amazing service so I decided to give it a whirl. Dialnet not only took my phone in right away but quoted me a price I couldn't turn down and threw in a phone cover as I told them it was the 2nd time this has happened. They had me in and out quickly and treated me extremely well. I will not go anywhere else to get my phone serviced. The best thing is my phone is no longer slow. This place has the worst customer service by way of an owner I've ever experienced. Sean needs to go back to take a refresher course in Customer Service 101 and learn how to treat his consumers, which keep business operative- The inflation on accessory prices is laughable & the only good thing that sets this shop apart from the 8 million other service/repair and authorized dealers in L.A. is the sweet, Asian gentleman that always greets customers with a smile and works hard. They are con-artists at best. Moreover, I asked for a car charger for my Blackberry, it turned out to be the wrong size after I opened the package & tried it... they wouldn't even let me return it smh. I know...wild, right? On another occasion, I went to service my phone, Sean told me to come back in one hour- I did...they hadn't even began the work. Lastly, they also have a complaint on Better Business Bureau. Save yourself some time and shop elsewhere. There are a ton of options. Take it easy, and hope this helps the honest folks out there! read more

I've used dialnet a few times and tell all my friends to go there. The last time I had my iPhone glass replaced it cost 173.00 and in 2 months the glass cracked in my hands without even dropping it. I was extremely disappointed that they wouldn't replace it or even offer a discounted price since I just replaced it 2 months ago. Instead they offered to sell me a glass protector. I'm glad the few reviews below had a good experience with this store. I, on the other hand, had a horrible experience. And I felt strong enough to sign up on here and point it out. First off let me say that I grew up in Europe, so I've almost always had foreign phones, and I'm very used to buying them from both here and abroad. My problems with this store started the second time I used them (the first time was to fix my last phone which took over a week because they ordered the wrong part, followed by a faulty part - or so they said). First and most important is that these phones are NOT NEW PHONES. That's why they are out of their box and are handed to you from within the glass case. If they were new phones, the glass case would merely be display models and the new phones would come in a sealed box. Let me just repeat that - if these phones were new the ones in the case would be DISPLAY PHONES ONLY. I learned this when I bought a phone from them as a gift for a friend. In less than a week of giving the phone, my friend found photos on the phone that didn't belong to him. On closer inspection, these photos were taken a half a year before I bought the phone for him. We immediately when back to return the phone for a new one. However the owner said that he could exchange the phone because he couldn't resell it (claiming there were small scratches on the back plastic side - barely noticeable to both myself and my friend). Once again though reinforcing the point that these are NOT NEW PHONES. In the following weeks the phone continued to have problem after problem after problem. First the vibration feature went out (two weeks after buying the phone), then the screen began to have problems (four weeks after the phone was bought) and now the phone is still at the store because of a problem with the slide action on the phone and it not disconnecting calls (just barely a month after buying the phone). And it was only after arguing for at least ten minutes each time, that he was willing to repair the phone at no cost to us, every time something happened. Of course all the while making me feel bad for buying a product for a friend that caused more headache than good. So in the end I would discourage anyone from using this store for anything more than simple repairs or unlocking phones. And let's be honest, if you want a foreign phone and you want it new with a fair price, buy ONLINE. You'll find a MUCH better deal and the phones will actually be NEW. Having bought these phones for many years (several of which I have spent in the US) these stores are pretty much a scam. They import them for half the price you'd actually pay overseas and most of the time they are refurbished phones. UPDATE: The phone was finally returned in working order at the beginning of last month. Thought I should note this.
