I have an LG 350 phone. A recent upgrade of LG's internet site left the LG 350 + 2 other models without web access. That meant the 78 priceless photos in my phone were held captive. I took this problem to LG customer service via phone, chat and email, USELESS; Sprint, RUDE + useless. Amazing how many idiots are out there masquerading as "customer service" reps. Two different Apple trainers very kindly tried w/BlueTooth and w/data connect cable (I think), respectively, to no avail and I also went on the LG forum. Sigh. Yesterday, I found Dialnet on Yelp and this morning the deed was done. Fifteen minutes of my time and $30 later, I have my photos on a CD. Yippee!!!!! My phone is my life. It literally holds everything together for me, from my work schedule to my to-do list to getting places via GPS to keeping in contact with my office, patients, etc. to keeping in track of my social life. But I seriously must have some kind of phone curse or something because I broke my phone yet again. (I was in the shower, it rang, I answered, hung up, and it fell in the water, LOL). When I turned it on, the touchscreen wouldn't work, rendering my MyTouch basically unusable. I was extremely desperate and so I looked up phone repair places on Yelp. I was surprised to find that in a time of such widespread use and reliance on cellphones, I only found few that repaired them. The first place I called was closed that weekend. Then I came across Dialnet on Melrose. I called them and they told me that I'd have to bring my phone in to get it checked out and estimated. I drove there, on a Saturday afternoon, and parking and traffic were horrendous. I had to park a block away. The place itself is super tiny, very easy to miss. Its tucked between two clothing stores. Inside, it is jam-packed with new and refurbished phones. I was told that the first shelf is new, and the second shelf is refurbished (50% off retail price). They also unlock phones. Anyway, I gave them my phone, and had to leave it overnight because I arrived kinda late in the day, and the tech would have to check it out. So with a heavy heart, I left my phone and felt lost and disoriented the rest of the day. I was told that I would receive a phone call with my price estimate but never did, so I called the next day (Sunday) first thing in the morning, and they said that it was going to cost $85 (because they had to replace the motherboard) and will be ready in 3 hours. I thought the price was a little steep, but what do I know about phone parts and stuff. It def beats having to buy a new phone. Service was pretty quick; my phone was ready for pick up when I got there. Definitely a place to keep in mind for phone klutzes like myself. read more

Woke up with a dead Blackberry Bold, even though it was plugged in all night, because the USB port apparently crapped out. Desperate to reestablish my link with the universe I headed over to Dialnet. They are straightforward, honest, fast and reasonably priced. Also, there was a lot of foot traffic, so the word is clearly out. Okay, so maybe this place doesn't deserve 5 stars and I'm just overrating it because they repaired my phone the same day, but...THEY REPAIRED MY PHONE THE SAME DAY!!! You never know when there's just a few ratings if the owner's family logged in and gave a place good reviews. There weren't too many ratings for this place, but I called and asked if they had the LCD screen for my phone. They had it in stock, so I raced over. They issued me a receipt and didn't make me pay until the repair was done. Not a cheap repair, but I have a working phone now. They speak English well and they're fairly friendly. This place is awesome and these guys are on top of it and know what they're doing! I I dropped my iPhone 4S two months ago cracked the screen and needed to get it fixed and finally made the time to do it and this is definitely the right place to come. I was able to receive 10% off for my check in here which was great on yelp! I did not have an appointment and even though they had two other phones they were working on they were able to get my screen fixed in about an hour while I was waiting. I highly recommend coming here to get anything fixed for phones etc. This is also a great place to come if you want to leave your phone and go walk around on Melrose lots of great shops and restaurants. I have very mixed emotions about this place. i called ahead to get a quote for screen replacement for a 7Plus. and of course it was a overly high price. but i dont like my phone with any damage so i bit the bullet. i even asked them if they use Apple products and i was told YES. false. after getting my phone back and $149 dollars later i thought i was golden. no more than an hour later after texting for quite some time i noticed the buttons where lagging and/or had a mind of their own. so i took it back, and with no questions asked they replace it. but unfortunately now 2 hours of my life are wasted. but he threw in a screen protector for the inconvenience, so that was a plus. now they are 3 points negative and 1 point positive. days later i noticed the screen protector was cracked from bottom to top. so of course here we go again. mind you i never dropped the phone and had a case on it. AND i noticed there was a heavy fade on the screen. dark blue text at bottom light fade at top. :/ WTF AT THIS POINT i take it back in ready to argue, begin to argue then realize this guys is BSing me like ... if it wasnt cracked we could fix it. not admitting the fact he used a crappy screen i give in. i have him fix my iphone 6Plus instead. (Fact : 7 screens are 3x more to replace than 6.) we finally calm down because i see hes not owning up to his product i tell him to call me when there is an old 7 screen from apple so i can put it back on and finesse the unexpected Verizon employees. ** This moght not seem bad but really i am now out 149 for 7 screen 60 for 6plus screen and another 170 from Apple for the proper screen. see the price?? I have been getting my phones and screens fixed at this location for 3 years and will not go to another location simply because they are so fast. They will have your screen fixed while you wait-usually under an hour. I drop my phone off, walk down Melrose to Starbucks and window shop on my way back and my phone is done and looks great. Really disappointing. Came here to get a 5S screen replaced that had been dropped. Paid $79 for a new screen which cracked less than a week later while just sitting in a bag. When I brought it back to them they wouldn't cover it. I've had the phone since it was new and it was in the bag all the time. Now, less than a week after getting the screen replaced it's broken again. For the cost of getting it repaired from them a second time I could have just had it repaired through Apple with a better quality screen. read more

I could not hear anything on my T-Mobile cell phone so I took it to T-Mobile. They tried to fix it and suggested I get a new phone. I LOVE my phone and I am not ready to get rid of it just yet. Any how, T-Mobile (I love their customer service) then referred me to Dialnet and to Peter. All I can say is Peter is AWESOME! Unfortunately, my phone is not fixable, it is the motherboard and not worth the trouble but Peter worked on it and ordered parts and he only charged me $10 bucks for the work. He told me there is no additional charge if he couldn't fix the phone. He did order a part (the $10 cost) and he spent time on it trying to fix it. I really appreciated the service. He is polite, courteous and will listen to you patiently. He did help me work out that I can still use my phone with my bluetooth connection and with a headset, so for me right now, the solution he suggested works great! Ramon T's review is right on as far as the phones go.......Holy Smokes! This place has AWESOME phones. And he does unlock them for you. So if your phone is broken, and you LOVE the darn thing so much you would rather repair it than get rid of it, GO to this place. He told me my total out of pocket expense if he would have fixed the phone would have been between $45-60 bucks, I think this is a reasonable price given my out of pocket insurance cost to get a new phone would have been $70 with T-Mobile. read more

Ok, so here's the deal, most of the reviews in regards to customer service are pretty accurate.....you probably aren't going to get the warm and fuzzies here. They aren't always the friendliest, could be because they deal with the public, and lets be honest sometimes the public can be pretty irritating. That said, I have been here about three different times, every time they have been able to fix my phone in either a reasonable amount of time or damn near fast. I took my iPhone for a screen replacement. These folks are friendly and the cost is the most affordable anywhere. I tried calling a few other places, and Dialnet has them beat in cost and service. It took an hour and a half. There are things around there to do to kill time if needed. Otherwise, the AC is on in their shop. If something isn't done right the first time, they will take care of the issue immediately. I would definitely go here again for any phone repair. Great, friendly and affordable service. Hopefully, I'll be able to update this review with more stars soon, but here's the news so far: I brought my iPhone in because my power button was dodgy. They replaced the button, and I walked away with it working perfectly fine. However, I noticed that the battery indicator wasn't working properly (even when it was charged to 100%, it still said 87% -- weird). So I rebooted my phone, and now it constantly reboots, even after a factory reset. It's never had this problem before. Ever. So, for now, they get five stars for fixing what they say they would fix for the amount of money they quoted and in the time they quoted, but they get three stars taken away because they broke something, and I'm not sure what yet. Stay tuned for more on this saga! ------ Update: I brought it back to them early this morning, and they were very nice and said that the new part may have been shorting. They replaced it, and said that it was working fine. I can't fault them for a dodgy part, and they were very quick about fixing it. Hopefully this will fix the problem entirely, and if it holds, I'll be happy to upgrade my review to 5 stars. read more

I contacted Dialnet On September 13, 2010 to inquire about the possibility of repairing my trusted Verizon LGVX 8300 whose LCD screen was no longer working plus there was a plastic cover that was cracked and needed to be replaced. Right away, the lady on the phone was knowledgeable, super friendly and quoted me a price that was very reasonable. I assume that because it was a busy day, I had to leave my phone and come back the next day on the 14th of September to pick it up. When it was returned to me, the phone's LCD had been replaced and looked like new, the plastic cover that was broken was replaced, and they even had a brand new original battery that was sold to me for a very reasonable price. All I can say is that this store has people that genuinely care, all are very fair in their pricing and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone in need of repairing a cell phone that is either out or warranty or out of date for that matter, why replace something when it can still work for a couple of years more? and if so, I would take it to Dialnet ASAP to have them fix it so you can be up and running in no time. Update: I, myself, ruined my beloved iPhone 5s, by tossing it in my lunch bag along with a leaky water bottle. The water damage ruined my head board, err... hard drive. I could see I still had some data that , with prayer & a gluten-free diet, just might be retrievable. I never, ever take iPhone retrievable advice from any dude or dudette in a storefront slap-dash business that mostly sells phone cards for calling Antigua, Guatemala. After crying a lot over my loss, I hightailed through Hollywood & West Hollywood from my school in Echo Park, right over to Sean, Love, & Peter @ Dialnet. The traffic & parking around the Melrose District is horrific. Why the heck is there a comic book shop & a tofu cafe on Melrose? Sean, the tech guru in this shop, investigated the ruined Iphone thoroughly. Found nothing but a burnt out master drive. I asked to see some refurbished iPhones. Peter, a soft-spoken, but focused tech owner, gave me a discount on an unlocked 5s, lectured me about storing too many photos on the phone. Apparently, there's this thing called the Cloud, where I should have transferred data, but, of course, fearing everything new tech, I ignored & avoided this Cloud. Peter was able to retrieve all my data, including my fabulous party photos from the Tam 'o Shanter. Thank you, Peter, for adding in an Otter case. New phone, same data, new me. Never considered taking my water logged 5s elsewhere. Don't believe the negative reviews. Dialnet delivers. read more
