Quality is out of this world for the honest price, I called in and in 5 minutes he took me in and assisted me with my oil change! Great work, definitely recommend to anyone around the area!

What can I say about Choi & his wonderful Diamond Bar Auto Service? They both rock our world! I've been taking my cars to him for service and repair since 2005, and I am so blessed to have discovered his business! My former landlord referred me to him, and for that I will be forever grateful! He is very honest, and does fantastic work on all vehicles. His assistant mechanic, Taiwan, is great too, and they are both very pleasant to all. He is not the closest mechanic near L.A., but I do not mind the drive, as the piece of mind he offers is priceless these days! Thank you, Choi for always being so good to me, my Toyota & my former Acura. You are the Best! :)

Choi gave me an estimate (for free) of about $2300 to fix everything and $1800-1900 without the paint (because I asked).

Brought my car in, went over some paperwork and was told I'd be contacted once the inspection was complete. Sure enough Matt called me to let me know there were some items found during inspection and which ones needed to be addressed right away. After agreeing to the updated quote they got to work. I came back to the shop prior to being told my car was ready, and I think there may have been a delay in getting parts needed (dropped the car off at 9am, wasn't done until 4pm). Other than that, the quoted price is what I paid, there wasn't any pushing to buy a service that wasn't needed. I will definitely be bringing my car back for the additional work needed.

I requested a quote through Yelp and my request was sent to multiple auto shops. I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.

2018 WRX "UPDATE"... After the leaking issues on the motor rebuild…read more I brought the car back. Martin went above and beyond to fix multiple leaks that came about from the rebuild. I trusted Martin to fix everything and make things right. Martin will do whatever it takes to make this right and have a satisfied customer. I had to have patience and it paid off! He will help out to the best of his abilities to make the customers satisfied. Thank you Martin!!

5 Stars - TMC Auto Repair in Diamond Bar (aka the place that actually gives a damn)…read more Let me paint you a quick "before and after" picture so funny it hurts: Scene 1: Midas in Diamond Bar, 3:50 PM I roll up with a driver's window that's basically on permanent vacation (stuck halfway like it's trying to ghost me). The guy behind the counter doesn't even glance at the car. Doesn't ask a question. Just grunts, "Yeah, it's the motor." Me: "Cool, wanna pop the door panel and confirm? I'll pay for the diag, takes 10-15 minutes tops." Him: refuses to move, refuses to look, basically treats me like I'm trying to sell him oceanfront property in Arizona. I left wondering if "customer service" is now Latin for "get lost." Scene 2: TMC Auto Repair (literally two minutes away, same day) I used to go to this shop years ago when it had a different name. Now it's TMC and let me tell you -- it should be called TLC because that's exactly what they give you. Walked in frustrated and Martin greeted me like a human being who mattered. He listened to my Midas horror story, laughed with me (not at me), and said, "Let's actually look at it." One of his techs pulled the door panel in like 8 minutes and... drumroll... the motor was bad and there was a broken plastic piece in the regulator (exactly what I told Midas Guy, who apparently moonlights as a psychic but forgot to charge his crystal ball). They got the window temporarily working until the new part arrives, didn't overcharge me, and treated me like I've been their customer for a decade (because I basically have). Moral of the story: Midas Diamond Bar just lost a customer for life in under five minutes. TMC gained a customer for life in under five minutes. Martin and his crew are professional, honest, fast, and actually enjoy fixing cars instead of playing "guess the problem from the lobby." If you're anywhere near Diamond Bar/Walnut area and need work done by people who treat you like family (the good kind, not the dysfunctional Thanksgiving kind), go see these guys. 10/10, will be back the second that part shows up -- and for every oil change, brake job, and random rattle from now until my car retires. TMC, you have my undying loyalty... and my window now goes up AND down. Magic. Show less

I Ended up going with Auto Squad and I'm really glad I did. Matt diagnosed the issue quickly and knew exactly what was going on without any runaround. What really stood out to me was the communication, he kept me updated every step of the way and even sent progress pictures, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. On top of that, pricing was very reasonable for the level of work and transparency. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and actually cares about his customers. Definitely found my go-to shop. I had a long day scheduled ahead of me and was just about to hop on the freeway and bad luck struck…read moreand I got a flat tire. While waiting for AAA to change out the tire with the spare, I scrambled to reschedule my doctor's appointment in Brea, while canceling my meeting in Chino Hills and dinner plans with my daughter in Monterey Park. I was supposed to be everywhere that day but ended up stuck going nowhere. I went on Yelp to find the closest tire shop that had the cheapest tire available same day because I wasn't feeling comfortable going back on the freeway on a spare. I was able to secure a tire for about $145 (tire, fees, and tax) on Tire Choice's website and also made an online appointment to get it replaced within the hour. I was mentally exhausted and just really wanted to head home and worry about searching for deals on better sets of tires later. When I got to Tire Choice, I was quickly greeted by Gina at the front. I told her exactly what I wanted to get done to avoid wasting her time hoping to up sell me better tires, and she got the message that I really just wanted to be able to quickly get back on the road again without pressuring me into changing all four of my tires. Gina was a doll and very pleasant to converse with. She was able to effectively multitask (answering phones, getting quotes for other customers, giving instructions to the mechanics), while we shared stories about our kids (my children and her fur babies). I think I spent 20 minutes max there and my tire was done. I was so happy! My overall experience at Tire Choice Auto Service Center in Diamond Bar was amazing.
