Normally I write complaints about people, but not this time. At the suggestion of 911 Design in Montclair, I went to Bash to have a water leak fixed in my Audi S4 2013 / 87K miles. It turned out it was coming from underneath my supercharger! I talked with Audi before, not knowing exactly where the leak was originating from, expecting the worst ( A little history ..My wife's 2019 Audi S5 needed a thermostat replaced under warranty years ago (typical issue) and it required removing the supercharger at about $3k years ago / now it would be about $6K, per Audi!) Until now, besides tires and alignments this is the first time I ever took a car in for service... I also have a a 2005 911S. I guess I have trust issues. During the process, Joey communicated and sent pictures showing where the leak was coming from. When I picked up my car at the shop I asked if I could see the parts, and I recognized the parts... thermostat, water pump, PCV valve (weird looking PVC valve), hoses, Supercharger belt.... In conversations with him I felt he was honest, about $1/2 what Audi was going to charge, they are familiar with Audi and Porsche typical issues, and pointed my other known issues out. He gave me his honest opinion and he did not PUSH additional services on me as if it was urgent! Could I have found a less expensive place? Possibly, but I had piece of mind.... honesty, quality, and the car was done in 1.5 days. It has been about 3 weeks and no leaks. read more

Joey and Bash Autoworx are a breath of fresh air when it comes to the struggles of finding a solid independent mechanic. When I first picked up my 981 Boxster 2.5 years ago, I was looking for a solid indy shop so that I would not have to pay dealership pricing. I ran across Bash Autoworx (and they are local to me) after searching for a while and seeing raving comments in the various Porsche forums. Fast forward three years and they are the goto shop. Incredibly nice, accommodating, does not upsell (as a matter of fact, talks you out of certain services), prices are more than reasonable, very knowledgeable, work done in a timely manner, and just....friendly. When I say talks you out of services, I asked them to confirm if the spark plugs had been changed (dealership said they had but no documentation). They pulled a couple plugs, took pictures and confirmed that they were not original OEM. They could have easily said otherwise. Work I have had done there in the past 2.5 years: 2 oil changes, accessory belt change, brake (fluid) service, X73 suspension installed with an alignment, and most recently diagnosing and then installing the two microswitches in my convertible top. read more

My 997.2 turbo had warning on dash regarding battery generator, I dropped it off at Porsche Irvine, service advisor was Natash Opperman, mechanic was Sadra Mizani. Initial quote was one labor hour to diagnos the issue, however after two weeks, Natash told me mechanic couldnt fix it and requesting another three labor hours for diagnosis, I agreed. Another two weeks passing by, they told me they still cannot fix it, it would require drop the engine to replace the wiring harness to the alternator, they asked $10,000 for that, I declined. Since Porshce Irvine couldn't repair the warning on the dash, I took the car to Bash Autoworx in Diamond Bar, guess what, they found the wiring issue connect to the alternator right away and fixed it for $280. read more

My 5 series was overheating and Bash was the only one open during the time the incident happened. I was a bit skeptical at first but I saw the cars that were inside the garage and it made me more comfortable knowing the caliber of cars that they work on are higher end. He was courteous and offered towing at a discounted price. His was able to address my concern and diagnosed my car within a few hours. Teni, who I believe may be his wife, contacted me over the Phone and was very professional, explaining what needed to be prioritized and what findings can be held off. I decided to replace my radiator along with the top and bottom radiator hoses. I did the minimum required to get my car back on the road but their honesty and professionalism will bring me back when the time comes. Because of our Pandemic, Teni was attentive and disinfected all the common areas and left a pair of latex gloves before I drove home. Had a great experience with this shop. I went in for an oil change on a recently purchased Porsche 991 and while they had the car in for the oil change they were able to point out a couple minor things that needed attention and showed me under the car too. On a side note, I noticed while I was driving my car home they had fixed the time on the clock, I hadn't gotten around to changing the time when daylight savings started. Long overdue review for Hratch and Joey. I'm probably one of the most pain in the ass customers any business has to deal with. I want top notch service for a good price and I'm going to bug with a million questions either by phone, text, or Instagram DM. Hard to find a shop and owner that will satisfy what I look for and do great work / be super honest so far. I've taken my BMW M2, 997.2 911 Turbo, and now my 987.2 Cayman S to them. Hratch has seemed to do his best to save me money where He can, and also guide me to do the proper maintenance whether it's needed or preventative down the line. I think what's lost in a lot of Porsche independent shops now is the passion behind being a car enthusiast. I had only had my car about 4 months at the time I brought it to Bash because I was told, when I purchased the car, it required service at 40k mi. When I arrived, I was greeted by Joey who checked the stats, informed me it was not yet due for maintenance, He showed where to check that info and said I still had about 2+ months to go before my car required service. When my dash indicator did alert me about service, I contacted Hratch and was scheduled the same week. Service was quick and the job was clean. They even washed my car afterwards! This is the worst repair shop I've ever been to. This place was recommended to me by a neighbor after something mysterious happened to my BMW 335i. I did a hard engine rev in front of the prior mentioned neighbors house and after that my car started running like crap. He recommended I take it to Bash, and I seriously regret that decision. I had the car towed to their shop for repairs and told them to fix the problem, change the oil, and install some aftermarket headlights on my BMW. They completely botched the job! They didn't change my oil or top it off. They broke my bumper when they installed the aftermarket headlights, and didn't even check to see if they worked after they installed them. The only thing that worked was the daytime running lamps. I don't really drive the car much, so it wasn't something that needed to happen immediately. I had to take my car back to them and make them put my stock headlights back on, and they didn't aim them properly so I have headlights pointing in two different directions. They didn't even refund any money for their shitty work or offer to fix my bumper they broke. I'm going to report these guys to the department of automotive repair and see how they like it. I'd work on my car myself before I take it back to these clowns. read more

I don't do reviews only when I truly mean it. Make a long story short I have a 2013 Hybrid Panamera which I truly enjoy driving. In November 2022 my hybrid stopped working. I have a extended warranty and took it to Pasadena Rusnak dealer. I apologize but Pasadena Rusnak dealer has the most incompetent thieve employees working there including management wanted to charge me almost $42,000 included with the extended warranty to fix the hybrid problem. Had my car for 7 months kept giving us the run around and saying even fixing the hybrid won't guarantee to even fix the problem. We asked for the car back gave us back the car worse condition than went in for they broke my whole electric suspension which we had to fight them to fix it. Stole from us additional little over $3700 which they lied the first time saying the problem will be fixed. To keep it short I was so happy to be introduced to Hratch by Jack scientific automotive he took care of my car like it was his own. He did his own research did a lot of test found the problem which it was not what Pasadena Rusnak dealer said it was. Hratch fixed my car so quickly much better than before and by the way washed and gave it back to me. Until now we are going back in fourth with the service advisor and service manager to order all the missing parts that the technician left behind.
