Where do I begin? I was torn between replacing my leather couch and having it repaired. I called Diamond Cut Upholstery for a quote after another business, I was familiar with, gave me the runaround. From Diamond Cut's Anthony and Vanessa I received prompt, courteous and excellent customer service. Based upon the quote, I decided to have the sofa repaired and even added an ottoman. I was not disappointed. An appointment was reserved and honored. In fact it was going to rain, and they called to do the work a couple of days earlier so that my couches wouldn't be ruined by transport in rain. Who thinks about that these days? I brought my 2009 Camry in December 2021. Front seat upholstery was matched nicely to head rests. A rip in back seat was patched perfectly! Amazing work! I keep meaning to leave a review, but then I forget. I walked in without an appointment mid-afternoon and had a one off request. I am a powerlifter and I needed an alteration to a multi-ply squat suit; this won't make sense to most. Anyway, they took me right back and were able to make the alteration super quick. It was awesome of them to take me back without an appointment. It has saved me so much time and energy at the at the gym now that I have my suit fitted right. I recently had a custom amplifier cover made for a Peavey combo amplifier I own. However, when I received it, it was an inch too narrow and it would not fit. I spoke to the maker of the cover who sent me another and that one fit perfectly. The maker did not want the other cover back and said I could keep it. Since I didn't want to throw it away I went to try it on another amp I have and realized that it would fit it but unfortunately it was about 8" too long. I took the cover to my taylor to see if he could shorten it but he said he couldn't because he didn't have the machine necessary to do the job. He recommended I try an auto upholstery shop. Since I was already in Downey running errands with my wife, I did the smart thing and let Yelp help me out. Diamond Cut Upholstery was less than a mile from my tailor and had 5 star reviews so I thought I'd check them out and see what they would say. I was met by a friendly and knowledgeable guy named Anthony who said "no problem" and that he could do it on the spot if I wanted to wait a little bit. I said yes and off to work he went. We fit the oversized cover to the Marshall amp head and discussed a length that would work best for it. There were two other gentlemen working in the large shop and Anthony took a seat and got busy cutting and sewing. In a short amount of time he finished the job and test fitted it on the amp. It was a perfect fit and he was able to match the trim material too. But while test fitting it, Anthony noticed a small tear in a side seam that was made by the manufacturer and took it to the back again to repair the defect. I was very impressed with the quality of his work and his great customer service. The price he charged was excellent too. I have a Honda with a tear in a leather seat and will bringing it to Anthony and the folks at Diamond Cut Upholstery when I'm ready to get it repaired. I highly recommend this business. read more

i always use yelp to find services i need. soo it is really important to share when i find a vendor who goes above and beyond the job i have hired him to do. first off he gave me a quote before his shop opened and was cheaper than 10 other vendors. ranging from 30-100.00 cheaper. he had me meet at his shop at 9am and worked with my schedule. he removed my chair for re upholstery. however he vacuumed the rug where chair was removed , cleaned entire chair and plastic panels. then he went on the passenger side and vacuumed and cleaned that side. anthony cares about his customers and goes out of his way to beat the other vendors in price and quality standards. his quote on time was correct and the job was done perfectly. anthony knows customer service. i will recommend his shop to all my friends and i will be back again. clean shop very professional kind and he will beat anyones price. im sure of it. he has alot of experience and it shows. looking for a great upholstery shop? give anthony a call. i was very impressed. thank you anthony. diana lott read more
