Listen up To all. this company is not the greatest as far as management. Specifically Management KelII, spoke to him, was not listening nor his fina words were basically calling me a none truthful person. I told him two other customers did not have their outside trimming destroyed. Kelii, said, no way windows sliding door was installed without removing door siding.. I not only spoke with the other two owners I even personally looked at there's. Use another window company because I know for sure we have many in Oahu. ordered tinted windows, Told all would be inspected for damage and to insure customer received as order. Windows and door arrived. No glass was tinted.. Told they would replace all glass. Must wait additional 12-14 weeks. No reason why windows were even delivered. Tony, the guy I met who presented me with paperwork in Dec-2023 and I truly understand that it was going take a up to 6 months for the windows to come. with all the check and balances how is it wrong glass was delivered. Lack of communications from Tony And Lack of properly inspecting to insure customer receives what was ordered. Definitely a 5 star for Marisa, (believe finance Guru) She was kind and professional. Scott and Grant (installers) these two guys were awesome. All three would be a great asset for any company. If not retired I would pay them to work with me.. Professional. Kind, cleaned up after, all around great people.. Note:, Installers Were not provided proper PPE for the job. Not provided proper scaffolding to safely do the job. I should have called OSHA, Pretty sure job would have been halted. Which means i screwed myself. A call from Kelli with some explanations are not the greatest, IMHO, definitely lacking in communication skills... I asked for 10% Discount or $1000.00 discount.. received $500.00 discount. Wait, being they destroyed the door framing. They did replace and install framing. Does not match framing as when my condo was built. Oh, they do not do painting... Forget all the inconvenience and now need to hire painter and buy the paint. $500.00 does not come close... wait it gets better, Tony, specifically told me, no destruction required. When the company person came out to measure. This person (without any knowledge and/or asking me) changed the type of framing.. I was told I received a much better quality... Does this mean the other two owners did not? Wait, it's my money $18000.00 and my Condo. But someone changed type frame without asking and giving me the option... The windows and materials are great but the work on the surroundings of Sliding door. Is poor to say nicely. #1reason I chose the company, great windows and awesome installation for the other two owners here. When I noticed not what I ordered. Installers had already removed 4 existing windows and installed two new windows.. So I decided to have Marisa remove cost for the tinted type of glass. A company that does not communicate well and properly, to include blaming the customer. Is a company I would never recommend. To pay over $17000.00 it's not worth it. So once again. We were very happy with the entire process, from start to finish. We moved into our new house and immediately needed to replace 2 sets of oversized sliding glass doors that made it impossible to keep our house cool. Brendan came and helped us pick out what we needed, gave us estimates and quoted timelines. Everything happened exactly as described and we even got the doors installed a week ahead of the predicted timeline. Paamai and Grant came out to install both sets of doors and were fantastic, they were on time, very professional, and did an excellent job. Aloha, Long story short: From start to finish we were very happy with the work from Diamond Head Windows. The windows and doors were installed sturdily, professionally and most importantly they insulate heat and noise really well. Our living room, in town, dropped in temperature by 10 or more degrees. Our living room went from sweltering to comfortable in the afternoon heat. The tech was really good, ask for Wes. The man works hard. I'm a bit torn on how many stars to give Diamond Head Windows and Doors because there were some really good aspects to our experience and some very bad aspects. The good: The installers who came out were great. Very professional, friendly, and informative. I give them 5-stars all the way. The bad: We ordered new windows and doors for our entire house and 1 of the windows came too big. After having 3 people come and measure the openings of our house, you'd think they would have gotten the measurement correct. They had already removed the old window, so they cut about 1/4" off of each side of the new window to get it into the opening. I spoke with the foreman over the phone and he tried to tell me that this was normal. I told him that I paid a lot of money for my windows and I wanted them to be correct and not "chopped to fit." After multiple conversations, with myself and the installer, he agreed to reorder the window. He said that he'd tell the manufacturer that they built it wrong, which I didn't think was very honest. On the 2nd day of installation, I happened to look at the windows that weren't installed yet and noticed that one of the windows was backwards. I had ordered a specific positioning of the windows because of the layout of my room. I called the foreman to let him know so that they didn't install the window. I don't know what they do with unused windows, but I figured it'd be better to have a brand new window to do something with instead of one that had been installed and then removed. In any case, when I called him, he tried to tell me that I was reading the contract wrong and they had the correct window layout. I had already looked at my contract and it did show the layout that I wanted, so I didn't appreciate that he just assumed that I was reading the contract wrong. He did come out the next day to look at the window and agreed it was backwards. He then reordered it. On the final day of installation, I noticed another window was backwards and a 4th window had a scratch in it. By this point, the foreman thankfully decided to stop arguing with me. He came out to my house, looked at the windows, compared it to the contract, and then went back to the office to reorder them. The foreman told me that my new windows should be here fairly quickly because he'd ordered them and they would be placed in the front of the manufacturing schedule. I waited a few weeks and no word, so I called him. He said that he believed they were in a container, which should ship out soon, so requested I call him back in a week. Fast forward 2 mos. and I finally get my replacement windows installed. As of now, we are happy with our windows. They are definitely helping to keep our house cooler, which is perfect since we're heading into the hot summer months. We've been told that the vinyl has zinc oxide in it, so it should survive the heat, sun, and UV. I guess we'll find out. Would I recommend Diamond Head Windows and Doors... I'm not sure. Maybe if we'd had a different foreman our experience might have been better. We had A LOT of issues, but some of it was because of the manufacturer. There is a lifetime warranty on the windows and the maintenance, but I'm hoping we don't have any future issues with our windows. read more

We needed to replace my 94 year old mothers bedroom window due to excessive bird and dog noise. The first window was damaged due to shipping and a new one expedited. Once received we were scheduled installation the following week. John Rice our installer was prompt and professional in removing the old window and installing the new one. The finished product exceeded all our expectations and mom can finally enjoy the piece and quite she so deserves. This is my second review for Daimond Head Windows. First review was for my 16 widows and sliding door which Stan and crew did a fabulous job. My second review is for my Security Door. John Rice and Kaiona did a fabulous job fitting and rebuilding door frame to fit my door perfectly. Earlier there was a problem with the door not fitting (wrong door) John went back to the shop and had remedied the problem by switching my door out with another door that fits (correct door). The first door also had no keys. I am so happy that John was able to remedy the problem and save the company any future complaint from me. Give them a call, you won't regret it. read more

From start to finish, this company was professional to the T! We needed four sliding glass doors replaced - they were in awful shape, couldn't even open three of them easily. Called several companies, and Mark responded quickly to schedule a meeting to check out the doors. He went over all the options, and then followed up with several emails to see how/whether we wanted to proceed. He let us know that it would take about 3 months to get the glass doors manufactured on the West Coast - not what we wanted to hear, but a friend had vouched for the quality of their products and their service so we went ahead and signed the contract. Toward the end of the three months I hadn't heard back so I sent an email but didn't get a response. I called to ask about the status and the woman who answered said they'd check to make sure all of the doors had arrived, and if so, someone would call to schedule a day to install. Got a call the next day and was able to schedule installation the day after! The two gentlemen who came to install the doors were very efficient and detail-oriented. They removed the old doors, hauled the materials up to the second floor for three of the doors and cleaned up afterwards - couldn't even tell they had been there. The hubs, who had a general contracting license in VA and refinished our basement (including bullnose corners for all you construction types), said the workmanship was stellar. Recently Diamond Head Windows & Doors changed all of our louver windows. Brendan Donovan, sales representative, was very helpful and provided us with very complete information about this major home improvement project. We were able to order tan colored frames to match our house. Other companies provide white or black frames. The windows are manufactured on the Mainland, yet the order arrived about a month or so before expected. The job was completed quickly in 1 1/2 days. The installation crew of Jacob, Shane & Keoni were punctual, professional, personable, and courteous. They were also conscientious about cleaning up. They were equipped with their own tools, cleaning materials & supplies. Maka, Project Manager, stopped by on the 1st day to check on whether progress was going smoothly and to our satisfaction. Immediately, we could see how the new windows beautified and brightened our home...as we wondered to ourselves, "Why didn't we change the windows sooner?!" As the job was being done, two neighbors approached us for a referral and they are planning to change their windows as well. Poor response. Initially, company was very responsive when trying to secure the sale, after that no return calls, no emails. I've been trying to contact Mark for the last 3 months. I was also told my add-on (ordered in March) arrived in Jul/Aug but still no one has contacted me to confirm installation. Each time I call, they say they will check warehouse and get back to me. So I just called Savannah at Diamond head windows. Inquired on Hardi Siding and windows for a future project. OMG the attitude! We don't do siding at this time. I inform her maybe they should take that they do siding off the website. She states we do windows.. i ask a few technical questions and she replies " I don't Know anything about the products.. I ask who the sub that they use for siding then. She replies I'm not allowed to give that out.. geeez this company is a Joke! I see the commercials and assume they know what they are doing .. my error.. Stan and his crew did a hack job on my install (20K contract to install one slider and about 15 windows). Left nails (screws), caulking and rubis all around the house and I have dogs and was worried they get paws cut up. The interior trim out looked like it was performed by a 5 year old (see pictures). I had to hold back money to make sure everything finally got resolved. John Rice is the only reason I gave two stars cause the guy came back to do the punch list and did a decent job. He did leave primer spots on my oak hardwood floor but at least he cared about his work and followed through. This company has some turn over issues with employees which makes communication difficult. I finally paid my balance due reluctantly. They did have to replace a cracked sash on a double hung window which took over 4 months to get but I am glad there is a lifetime warranty on the products. Bottom line is I would not hire them again to do the job, they are good on the front end with sales but the product is pricey, the install experience was terrible. read more

I had contracted Diamond Head Windows to replace my 20+ year old aluminum windows and glass sliding door in my home. I had first met Ryan Paul, operations manager and he was great. Answered my questions about all things windows and made me feel comfortable about choosing Diamond Head Windows for the job after receiving two other quotes from different contractors. My custom windows took a few months but that was a communicated and I didn't have a problem with it. A 3 day install was scheduled to replace 18 windows and a glass sliding door. The installation crew did an amazing job! They showed up on day 1, ready to work and got it all done on day 3 as scheduled. I could tell that the crew took pride in their work and treated the job as if it were their own homes. I appreciate all of their hard work and am so happy with my new vinyl windows. I had some windows installed in June and so far I haven't had any problems. I wanted to add that the lead installer, Grant, arrived a few minutes early, checked the measurements one more time and by the time he was done, the second installer, Nate, arrived and they started immediately to prep. They were very professional, and did a good job with the installation. Grant showed me how the locks operated, and then they did a thorough clean up both inside and out. Called Diamond Head Windows & Doors on Monday to repair a loose window, and a reaped screen door; Bruce did the scheduling, Dan came on Wednesday, and not even an hour everything was fixed. Dan came with a face mask of course. It's just frustrating that he refused my Ginger Ale soda. They did our windows and door in 2015 and truly was satisfied more so now that calling them for repair was just a blink of an eye. I just had 20 windows in my house installed by Diamond Head Windows. The crew, led by Stan, were very fast and efficient. They did an awesome job installing the windows in less than 2 full days! Everyone was courteous, respectful of my home (taking off their shoes and wearing socks in my house), and wore face masks, which was my preference. The Leahi windows are beautiful, and really upgrade my home. From the inside of my house, it looks like the windows and screens aren't even there! Brenden, the sales consultant was also awesome. During the initial consultation, he patiently explained and showed me the properties of the windows and screens, and walked thru my home twice, to give me an accurate estimate. First of all, I appreciate them accommodating me as my schedule changed a few times and i had change things up on them. I got educated by the 2 companies I met with on the type of windows and the pros and cons of each. Two factors came into play - price and quality of product. Since the price was comparable with both companies, and I didn't know enough about the products they carried and installed. It required research on my part. Edge there in my opinion went to DH Windows. When all the research was said and done, we just clicked with them and they seemed to understand exactly what we wanted. Having dealt with the horrors of construction timelines and budgets in the past, i always expect some hiccups. I was pleasantly surprised that there weren't many with this company. They made some adjustments to the install schedule and gave us good enough warning (communication ++) I can confidently say that I will be dealing with DH Windows in the future should the need arise or if i can ever afford to buy another piece of property on this expensive island we call home :)..
