Been bringing my dogs here for years I can't even tell you how many years it's been that long. I love this place so much. Everyone is always so nice and I love that it's a small family owned business. The best part is how you can see the dogs being groomed in the back as you walk in. My 3 amigos always come back smelling amazing and to my surprise it always lasts a few days...even when they come home and jump straight in the pool after their bath ‍. They always let me know if something is wrong with my dogs that I may have not known like a cut that they had may have reopened or something like that. The staff at this pet grooming are very rude and disrespectful. They are dishonest and when confronted I was treated very disrespectful and I have been going there for many years. when I suggested the best solution for our disagreement was to stop taking my pets to their parlor, the response was "okay perfect"! no apologies no remorse for giving my yorkie a hack job literally chopped off the fur with looked like a dull play scissors so sad people can be so inhumane and cruel insensitive to other. The grooming is very good or one of the best in the area. But the owner is a type of person that assumes people or customers don't have a life or at times life happens. she gives attitude and very rude when you miss an appointment. I have been taking a few of my dogs for many many years, way back when her shop was by the ford dealership on hacienda blvd. I had enough it's time to be moving on. Our family fur member, Shiro has a new awesome doctor and next door is this pet parlor. We walked in with Shiro to check it out. Margie came out and greeted Shiro. Our dog was so calm, sat and looked at her with his tail wagging. We decided to give the place a try since they are less than a mile away from home ( we literally can walk to the place) and that's a big plus did I say "it is next to the vet office. We scheduled his spa day, took him in at 1 pm on a weekday, and Shiro was out in approximately 2 hours looking handsome and smelling good! Love the Diamond L Pet Parlor because Shiro loved it. I'm really really really highly disappointed. Some Lady at the market highly recommend them. So I came. When I came I asked in how long do I return for her and they said about 10 min or so. I was surprised, but was ok at the moment. They rushed to do her nails. I was willing to wait. They brought her out so fast, I asked if the polish was dry n they said yes. I had nailpolish on my right Arm as she said yes. I seen that some of her nails didn't even have polish n asked for her to fix the back. She didn't even Touch them. They gave her back like this. I seen They missed one of her nails on both her top Paws. I took her back to ask them to fix a 3rd time. The girl used the excuse of her hair that they usually cut the hair. Why didn't they!?? Why didnt they tell me they had to even until it was an issue. Third time... she bought her out and said she was done. Her nail polish was all wet and ended up on my clothes and Arms. We called ahead of time informed them of the dog breed we were bringing in, chowchows are known aggressive breed. We drove 2 hours to bring him in and they refused to take him because he was only barking. He was not aggressive and we had also confirmed ahead of time that we could stay with him to make sure he is calm as he gets very scared in new places. I've been taking my dog here for some years because they seem to have the best price with decent work, I wouldn't say that their work is perfect. They definitely don't do the best blending/fading but all in all like I said before I was taking my dog here to save money. Today, I tried to make an appointment and the owner said that she doesn't care for my business because I had disputed a charge for $90 that should have been $45, they charged me extra by mistake!!! I only disputed half of the charge. She is a risky merchant. Instead of taking responsibility, she blamed me for her mistake. This review is long overdue! I've been taking my dogs to this groomer for the last 13yrs. Owner and her team are friendly and take pride in what they do and their service to clients. I now live in Diamond Bar and still come out to take my little guy. This last visit I was extremely impressed! My Pom has significant hair loss. Not only did they take good care of him but shared with me that they had another client with the same condition who was able to overcome it with treatment. They mentioned it might've been vitamins but they were going to call the client and ask, and let me know. Talk about above and beyond service. Well, today, sure enough, they found out and called me. It was vitamin B shots and thyroid meds because that's what the pet had, but to consult with the Vet of course!!! Thank you so much!! read more

We dropped off our shih-tzu puppy at this groomers and ever since we got him back he hasn't been acting himself. We even had to take him to the vet to see what happened. He's like traumatized and shaky. The Vet said he's traumatized and he gave him anxiety injection. Also, the haircut is uneven and overall a bad job. I don't recommend this place at all. I am so happy with the haircut my puppy got. This was his first haircut and they did amazing! Being a puppy he is constantly moving and I thought would be very difficult but they did such a good job. Their prices are way reasonable, they do good work, and they really love and take good care of the animals! One time I forgot to tell them my mom would be picking up my dog and they were hesitant to give Martini to her because they had never seen her there with me before. They called me to make sure they weren't giving my dog to some stranger. I just moved away from this area, me and Martini miss them lots. We stopped taking our Pomeranian and Shih Yzu here a couple years ago after the final straw. Our Shih Tzu came home with an eye infection due to a cut to his eye from grooming. Much like other reviewers are commenting, my dogs too would be scared shit less entering this place. Additionally, they never get they type of haircut we want right like ever!! I've been bringing my dog here for many years and have never had an issue with staff until today. I called yesterday to see if they had any openings for this week, and the lady told me no but that she would call me if anything became available. I received a call today at 9:45am informing me that 2 spots opened up for today at 10am and 2pm. Since I work at an office cities away from West Covina, I was scrambling trying to find someone to get my dog to the parlor in time for the 10am appointment, since 2pm seemed too late. Fortunately, my family member was available and dropped him off by 10:10am. I asked the lady who initially called me this morning what time he would be ready by and she said 1pm at the latest. I told her that since I am not home, I will need to find someone else, different from the family member that dropped him off, to pick him up. I asked her what time she closed and she said 5pm. That is when I told her that I would for sure have someone get him before closing time. When the lady called at 12:11pm to inform me that he was ready to be picked up, I told her that I would see who could get him as soon as possible. Fortunately, I secured someone to pick him up but not until after 3pm when they got off work. At 3:07pm, the lady called asking when he would be picked up, and I told her that I was still waiting on my brother to confirm the exact time he would be getting him but that it would be before their closing time. She said "okay" then sighed. Before she could hang up, I asked her if something was wrong and she said that they only allow dogs to stay until an hour after their completed time. I asked her why and she said it's because they are low on cages. I told her that she never informed me of that from the beginning, otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to the appointment for today. The lady's name is Arielle and she stated she is the only one working today, although my brother saw differently when he picked up my dog - he said there was another worker in the back. I don't appreciate Arielle's attitude and lack of communication regarding her concern. If she wants me to make her job easier, then she needs to be able to provide all the necessary info. I understand I agreed to the appointment last minute, but they technically wanted my money when they called me asking to bring him at that time on short notice. For this reason, I will never bring my dog to this establishment ever again. Additionally, the cut they gave him today is not up to my standards or how they've cut it in the past - very disappointed. read more

Took my Shitzu in for a much needed cut! He just had a liter ( not him but the female) and we wanted to make sure he looked good for the people asking about the father (him). I needed a cut quick I called diamond L and asked to be put in their waitlist for the following day, just to my luck they had a cancellation and gizmo was brought in. He doesn't get professional grooming often only at home so he has a few matted areas and we can never seem to get around his eye because he doesn't enjoy it much. Sadly I must agree with recent reviews. Prices have went up and quality has went down. 2 price increase in last 6 months and now they keep my Dogs 3+ hours when I would get them back in 1.5 hrs max before. Most recent job was rushed nails not cut short and no attention to detail. Unfortunately it's time to find a new place for pups to get a bath. Price used to be good at $25 for a bath and nail clipping then went to $30 now at $35. read more

Margie has been very welcoming and patient when cutting our dogs and cats nail. The other time their guy worker helped cut our small dog's nail and he caused her to bleed. Did he not see her bleeding?? He didn't even powder the wound until i told him. If he doesn't like animal then why is he working here? We were disappointed by his service and never wanted him to help us again. Recently we came by and saw the guy worker was being impatient and abusive to the small dog. While trying to cut the dog's hair, the dog whimpered and he yanked the dog as if he wants to kill the dog. I previously gave Diamond L a great review. Just as happy as all these 5 star givers were. However, I've changed my tune completely about this place! I've taken my dog here twice, and the second time around, I noticed that my dog had red spots, but I let it slide because I didn't think it was a really big deal. However, after a few days, I noticed a cut under her arm. It was obviously not a hot spot, but a cut. I can only assume that my groomer Patty was in a hurry, did not grease the blades, or skipped some step, in order for my dog to have irritations. I called Diamond L, and spoke to Margie. I calmly told her about the situation, but as our conversation progressed, I started to get irritated by the way she approached my concern. She told me to put neosporin on my dog's cut, while showing no compassion at all. She even blamed my dog, assuming that she was licking her spot. First of all, unless she was a contortionist, I don't see how the hell she can lick her underarm. Secondly, I just didn't appreciate her attitude and disconcern about the situation. She had the audacity to end the call by saying "well, we're just going round and round with this, so what do you want?" Not, "how can I remedy this situation for you?" I specifically told her, I didn't want anything for free, I just assumed they'd know how to handle this type of situation, without putting any pressure on the client. I just didn't understand how she could be so rude. I told her I'd never come back, and I'd be damn sure to write a review about exactly what happened, and she just said "okay!" Wow, great customer service here. NOT. You can't even groom pets right, and now you have an attitute? What a winner. So if you want to take your pet to a place full of fakes, who want to pretend that they care for you dog, then I guess this is the place for you! read more
