My puppy went 3 times. The last time he came home scared/nervous. I know they were rushing to close early. I don't like that you can't see the dogs in the back. We have been coming to barks and bubbles for years and they have always done a great job with our dogs. I called in last minute today to see if they have any openings but they were all booked for the day. I spoke to Gus and he was nice enough to take my number down and said he would let me know if there were any availabilities. I started taking my Corgi here because my original groomers did not trim his nails and his nails grew extremely long and it caused the nail to split and it got infected. So I researched groomers in my area and found Barks & Bubbles. B & B have been great, the staff is very professional and I can easily make my appointment through their text system. Extremely affordable, quite cheaper than my previous groomers. I have taken my Corgi three times to this place and they do an amazing job. I scheduled appointment for Saturday morning at 11:30am, took my baby in within 40 minutes I get a call stating my baby was having difficulty breathing. I get there went to back where they had my dog it's super hot no air conditioning, this poor dogs where in extremely high temperatures. The front part of the has good air conditioning but the back is extremely hot plus they have the air dryers on making it even worse. They have the audacity to tell my daughter my dog when he left the groomers he left in good conditions, I had to rush my poor baby to the vet hospital where they were giving him 50/50 survival. Took my dog for the first time today. Staff was kind and their check in process was quick and simple. Their prices were great ($60 for a full groom, medium sized dog) and my dog was ready in less than 90 mins! We were pleased overall with the results of the hair cut. I did notice that the shave down was not blended in as well as our previous groomer and some spots on her underbelly and back were still slightly long, but still high quality for the price. When we checked in (9am) there were 4 or 5 dogs before us and one after so they were busy so some minor imperfections are totally understandable! My only reason to not give a 5 star is the smell. They have cats that board or live on site in the lobby and the smell was pretty strong. I do not recommend pregnant women to enter and drop off due to this. Overall will return in 6 weeks for another cut! read more

I used to love taking my dog here. It's near my home and they were all so friendly and helpful. Not sure what has changed. I have to " inspect" my dog whenever I pick him up now. The last few times he's been returned to me with knots under his belly, is paws still shaggy, and just unfinished. Today was no different. His sanitary cut (belly and privates) was so I clean. It didn't look like his paws were trimmed. And he had several knots on his belly. The owner apologized saying some people have left. I understand, but those who are there now, are not paying close attention to the service they are providing. Not to mention that today's service did NOT include a body cut--other than the sanitary cut, face trim, and paws. I still paid full price. Once they returned him for the second time, I noticed his tail wasn't brushed out. His whole body was clean and fluffy, but his tail was damp and unbrushed. I didn't say anything. I had high expectations for this groomer. My boyfriend and I were referred to them by a friend who has used them for her doggo who gave them flying colors. Unfortunately, our experience was not the same. We took our corgi pup in for her first grooming and dropped her off at 12pm expecting her to be done around 3/4pm. As 4:30 rolled around we began to get worried (note: we hadn't even received any update from the groomer) so my boyfriend decided to call and they informed she was still not done. Now it's 5:30 and the place closes at 6pm. We decide it's time to just go to their location and pick her up regardless of her service being complete. We arrive and she is barely getting put on the table to get her cut (now 5:45). To add a cherry on top, an employee was giving another employee a HAIRCUT!!! The end result of my pup's service was subpar. She was freshly cleaned but was not cut at all how they asked us when we initially brought her in... We have been coming here for a while now ever since they first opened. Their prices are honestly unbeatable but you actually get what you pay for. We took our dog here for their full grooming service ($53 for small dogs) which supposedly includes nail trimming, bathing, hair cutting, teeth brushing, and anal gland expression. We mainly came for the anal gland expression since my dog had been scooting on the floor so we figured we might as well get the full service but turns out they DID NOT get his anal glands expressed... Also, nails were still super long and his hair was not evenly cut. How do we know his anal glands were not expressed you might ask? Simply because our dog kept scooting on the floor even after coming back home. We had called to ask if they actually got his anal glands expressed and they said "they did". We finally took him to the vet and she confirmed his anal glands were indeed NOT expressed. Very unhappy with my last visit and would most likely not be coming back because of their dishonesty. I would recommend providing the full service as advertised and each customer pays for regardless of how good your prices are. read more

Unfortunately I have to change my review, this was the only time I was happy with my baby's hair and service. I watched them handle her roughly when I asked them to trim up her front. They sighed and acted as if was a chore. The next time I took her home she had nicks all over her little thighs and her nails were cut so short she kept pulling her paws back when I'd touch them. As much as I'd like to say they give good service, we do think they cut dog hair well, but this is a photo of my dog who only went there for a bath and comb, no hair cut. How is she cut? This also took4 hours. For a haircut and bath... it wasn't a walk in, we called and were told what time to come in Also, this is the first time out of 4 visits that my dog was "mysteriously" hurt, but its the 2nd time they took excessively long without any good reason. My dog is (an obvious) medium size dog and he insisted he was considered a large dog: I told him I would not pay more than the amount stated on the price sheet posted by the counter and I practically forced him to give me an exact price before I left my pet. I've been living in Baldwin Park my whole life, but have never come across this place! I decided to bring my pups here after seeing they were open and really close to my house. They are a little more expensive than other dog groomers, but they offer a lot more services and the quality of their work is impeccable! For $50 they bathe and cut your pup's hair, trim the nails, clean the teeth, ears and squeezing of the anus gland. And my most favorite part, is that they gave both of my pups a cute little bandana! The first time I brought my dog here the people were rude and unprofessional and I still let them give my dog a bath and cut. They gave my dog back to me after over cutting all of her hair especially around her nose With one of the worst haircuts she had ever received which was NOTHING we had asked for. I thought maybe it was a mistake so I brought her back today only to find the people who work here were unprofessional and RUDE AGAIN!!!! Was asked if I had an appointment and I responded with the truth, NO I didn't. Was told that my dog would take all day to be finished and they had to cater to the appointments first and next time I should call for an appointment. Long story short it's not what you say it's how you say it! Be a little more professional and KIND and maybe people would return! DONT TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES HERE!!!!! They treat customers like s**t. I take my baby to Magic Groomer in Arcadia where I should have taken her in the first place! Would never come back here to be treated like a burden!
