DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES and SCAM ARTISTS!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though they are located in Las Vegas they refused to send someone out to get an exact number of cubic feet we would need. They made us tell them everything that was being moved with measurements for everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then they "guesstimated" cubic feet and said it would take 10 feet of a truck (top to bottom), and would cost $2300 total for the move. When 5 Diamond showed up, they used way more packing material then was needed to the tune of an extra $321 on top of what they originally quoted. By the time they finished loading the truck it took 13 feet of the truck and now the price literally tripled for 3 extra feet to the tune of $6900!!! I guess they figured they could take advantage of us senior citizens because they knew we had to be out of the house by the next day. They were literally throwing our stuff around the garage and on to the truck. Then they took our stuff back to their warehouse and subcontracted another company to move it to our new home. The VERY UN-proffessional driver, SIARHEI HALAVENKA (who we think may be here illegally) arrived to deliver our stuff and refused to try to make the 2 wide turns to get to our house even though the gaurd at the gate told him tractor trailer drivers come in and out of our development all the time!! So obviously he didn't know how to drive a truck!! He then extorted us for $350 because he said he had to hire someone to help him move our stuff because he had a bad back and it was hurting him! WHAT?? And i asked him why he was even in the moving business and he wouldn't answer and said if we didn't Zelle HIM the money he would not deliver our stuff. I asked why we had to pay HIM and not the helper and he said HE would pay the helper. He probably paid him some and kept the rest!! I threatened to call the police and he got really scared saying, "Don't call police!! I no want you call Police!" He spoke broken English so that was a clue. By then he was mad because he was going to be late for his next delivery and literally started throwing our stuff off the back of the truck!! All our boxes were packed very carefully and labeled so we knew where they went especially ones we marked "GLASS - FRAGILE". He also purposely threw heavy boxes on top of those boxes crushing some of them. I said something to him several times about it and breaking some of the things that broke when he threw them off the truck and his response was, "Not my problem, company will pay you back". He also tried to make us take someone else's china closet!! It had no sticker on it and I told him it was not ours. He said he would put it back on the truck and "get rid of it somewhere". So we had about $4K worth of stuff damaged and missing!! They delivered our bookcase, but the shelves were missing, they broke a brand new printer that was still in it's original shipping box and I could see they threw it on it's edge from the corner being smashed in, several pictures/frames that they packed were broken, and 3 boxes were missing - one with a couple power tools and other tools in it, another with my wife's pots and pans and other cookware in it and another with our DVR and surround sound system in it. They would not answer their phone so I called Frontier Moving, a brokerage co., for 3 weeks trying to get an answer. They said 5 Diamond was searching the warehouse, but then finally said that 5D could not find them, so I guess someone had a nice Christmas!! Speaking of Frontier moving, DO NOT use them either!! They are in cahoots with 5D and are a bunch of liars themselves and i'm sure was getting some kind of kickback from 5D!! AGAIN _ DO NOY USE EITHER ONE OF THESE COMPANIES!!!! I recently used Amerisafe to broker my move with 5 Diamond Moving & Storage, a company I had not heard of prior to their notification of the contract. Although I had concerns about moving over a holiday weekend, I agreed to adjust my moving date at their request.Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Key Issues Faced: Understaffing:The moving team arrived severely understaffed for the size of my home and the volume of items to be packed. During a coordinating call with the onsite foreman, I was promised additional staff, but this turned out to be a single inexperienced day laborer.Significant Cost Increases:I was charged over 37% more than the initial quote due to various add-ons, including additional cubic footage that exceeded the truck's capacity and contracted supplies that were not provided. According to federal regulations and my contract, any disputes over additional charges were supposed to be resolved before they loaded my items onto the truck, a protocol that was not followed.Subpar Packing Quality:Having moved every five years for work and military assignments, I can confidently say that the packing service provided by 5 Diamond was the worst I have ever encountered. They used oversized boxes that were often only partially filled to maximize their billing for packing materials, which led to additional charges beyond the estimate.Discrepancies in Delivery:The delivered items did not reconcile with the signed bill of lading, which listed over 143 items. I also fell victim to these morons. Over $14k for a long distance move From Vegas to Michigan. One piece of furniture was destroyed while they were wrapping it in a moving blanket. The moron turned it on its side, without securing the doors and one door ripped out by the hinges. Not repairable. They did compensate for that piece BUT... They damaged almost every other piece of furniture they handled. Destroyed a $3k mattress by strapping it across the middle and using it a bulkhead to prevent other items from sliding around in the truck (Saw this first hand). Vintage (MCM) Laminate table top damaged. It was wrapped in a moving blanket and seperated from the base. Vintage (MCM) $5k bar cart's top was damaged. It was also wrapped in amoving blanket. Almost every other piece had chips or scratches. Boxes were crushed. Wardrobes were crushed. The delivery crew was 2 men when 4 minimum were needed. Took 7 hours for the offload. Boxes that they packed with directional arrows were deliver upside down damaging contents. The basic insurance is $.60 (60 cents) per pound of damaged item. Full v=coverage insurance cost almost as much as the move. IIRC $9k or so. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Renters insurance will not cover your move. The loading team in Vegas lied to me about that[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Overall a miserable experience and I'm filing complaints with DOT and the BBB. Even if DOT acts, these guys will file bankruptcy, open under a new name and continue their ripoffs. Why isn't there an option to give 0 stars?! One star is more than they deserve! This company is the worst! They only stay in business because moving brokers like Amerisafe contract them and the customer has no say in it! They raised the price of the move AFTER our stuff was loaded into their truck! What were our options at that point?? They were holding our stuff hostage with a "Pay up or else" mentality. Which was even more infuriating since we had far less stuff than what the quote allowed for. I had guesstimated 35 large boxes and we ended up only have 15 medium size boxes. The furniture was all accounted for properly on the quote so there was NO WAY we went over the allotted space on the truck. A complete scam and blatant money grab! They repeatedly lied about the delivery date. Ignoring my texts phone calls but telling Amerisafe that they were leaving Las Vegas "within the next 24 hours". This went on for several weeks!! When they finally arrived (three weeks later!) there was only one mover. They hired a helper off of Craigslist who never showed up! My son was willing and able to help but wanted compensation since he would be doing the job that we contracted them to do! They refused. They said the one mover would do it. How could one mover bring large pieces of furniture up three flights of stairs by himself?! We were afraid he'd leave not being able to do it, so my son assisted just to get finally possession of his stuff! I NEVER would have contracted with this company. I got screwed by Amerisafe (moving broker--another scam to stay clear of!). I will be reporting this company to the BBB because they shouldn't be in business at this point. Bright side, where do I ever start. I called bright side to get a moving quote, reading good reviews and talking to a nice associate. Was quoted 8,300, sent pictures of my big items so they knew the size. We booked them for our cross country move. Everything was good till moving day, when they assign us a 1 star moving company with the worst reviews ever. They were nice enough to switch the company and have another company come since I didn't want the 1 star review company. One shady thing is the extra insurance, it would have cost be 8k to get the insurance. Our new company 5 diamonds, they show up walk our house and quote us $1,800 more, are you kidding me $1,800. I understand we did have some extra random items but not $1,800 worth. But that's not my main complaint. They stated to write fragile on any box that was full of fragile items. So we did! I used bubble wrap, made sure anything fragile was packed well. Well they ruined over 4k in furniture and household items. Doesn't matter if you write fragile the boxes were smashed, cut, broken and open. Please see attached photos. So not only did I have to pay $1,800 more you destroyed a $450 night stand, a $2k media console, pots&pans, plates and multiple picture frames, lamps, side tables, my damn Sonos speakers.. It's like you could care less what happens to peoples stuff because you make it impossible to afford extra insurance and now I'm stuck making a claim for 60 cents a pound. The movers unloading my stuff, one of them asked for a tip. I already planned on tipping but you don't ask for a tip. Then when I said I would Zelle them $50 he said that's all. Like how rude can you be! Bright Side was great till our moving company showed up. If you are going to contract out moving companies, at least make sure you hire reputable ones. If I could give negative stars to this scam operation, I would do so. First of all, I must compliment the actual packers and the driver - all were helpful, professional, and pleasant to work with. The office, however, lied repeatedly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a long distance move, NM to NC, and they lied about how much the move would cost, where the truck was on its journey east (it arrived 2 weeks later than promised), why it was delayed, and they wouldn't respond to emails with more than half-sentences which were curt and rude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For this honor, they charged us over $10K. They damaged a priceless antique and two other pieces of furniture, then offered $78 in insurance coverage because, they claimed, it was self-packed. It was not. The packers - who were, as stated, excellent - packed everything, wrapped it in bubble wrap and blankets. It was clearly damaged in the transition from the packers' truck to the warehouse, or the warehouse to the delivery driver's truck. Amerisafe, the broker, is complicit in this horrible company's performance. Neither Amerisafe nor 5 Diamonds appears to have any ethics. It is amazing to me that they are still in business. I wish I could give this horrible moving company Zero stars. They are the absolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. First off they showed up 2 hours late for initial pick up when the window was between 1-5 pm. They seemed 'shocked' at how much stuff they had to pack up even after we went through everything we had via the phone and initial communications. Not to mention it was a 2 bedroom apartment they were packing up with minimal stuff!!! We were way under quoted and ended up paying an extra THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. These guys are shady at best. They claimed they would be arriving on a Friday evening (3 weeks after initial pick up). Of course no show and call us stating they would be back in the morning. It is now 12:15 pm and these idiots are still not here. All we keep hearing is 'oh we're at a weigh station - be there in an hour'. DO NOT USE DIAMOND MOVING AND STORAGE! Also make sure the job doesn't get contract out to them. They are completely unprofessional and unethical. Bottom line is find another company that is reputable. In the end, it will will be cheaper given all the damages from Diamond. I moved cross country and this company was an absolute nightmare. I had multiple items stolen and damaged. I tried to contact the company by both phone and email regarding all of the issues at both pickup and delivery, but they told me to call the third party company that handles their claims. They refused to speak to me. The pickup movers were late and showed up well after the 4-hour window allowed. The left all their trash, were very slow throughout the process, and a couple of them had spent long periods of time in my bathroom doing who knows what. I also had items stolen and severely damaged. The pickup movers broke some furniture and tried to hide it. I didn't discover this until I was unpacking as they had packed the broken piece in a box. Pickup didn't bother to pack my dresser drawers and when it arrived, there was a large crack down the side; everything inside was smashed onto one side. (I inquired what I needed to do to prepare for the movers to pack at pickup and was told I could leave everything in my drawers). There were also many boxes with glass items that very not wrapped and things were carelessly thrown inside. I continued to have issues with delivery. Every time the mover called (at least four occasions), he reported an expectation of a tip of $200. When he quoted my balance, he stated $200 more. This is very unprofessional and no other area of the service industry does this. I understand mentioning tips are accepted, but he was excessive. He also told me that payment had to be in cash whereas I was told by the movers at pickup that a postal money order was permitted for delivery payment. The delivery driver tried to add surcharges for long haul and bulky items. He also was wearing flip flops, which seemed very unsafe and unprofessional as a "professional mover." I contested this stating it was less than 75 feet but it wasn't until I showed him the paper from his employer did he agree to not add the surcharge. I also explained that the movers at pickup packed my belongings (which I paid extra for) as he was trying to say that anything marked as "PBO" regardless of what it was would get this surcharge. I explained that the pickup movers did not add any bulky item surcharge and stated I would not have this at delivery. I also explained that I paid for pickup to pack my items, so if something was marked as PBO, it was because they decided not to pack it. Eventually he stated he wouldn't add a bulky item surcharge. There were also issues with getting my couch inside and they ultimately left it outside in the alley, with the job incomplete. I had to make other arrangements and pay someone to help as we were able to get it inside later that day. read more

It all started off two days late, they were supposed to show up on a Saturday Morning (no show) they called and said they would be there on Sunday(no show). Then they called and said they would be there on Monday ( with extra people ). Which we were supposed to be out of the house by that day, since escrow closed already.. Well they showed up late on Monday bringing a truck that was to small, and after hiring losers off Craigslist (one which stayed in the bathroom more than he packed.) then quit half way through cause he said he wasn't getting paid enough. left our stuff out on the street unattended. as they were hurriedly carrying stuff out they dropped several pieces of oak furniture.. cracking it. broke a antique picture my grandmother had given me and just kicked the piece in the corner of the garage, which I seen and had a fit so they picked it up and just taped it to another box. in packing and mind you we paid extra 1000 dollars for them to finish packing they just through my antique lamp shade with no wrapping on it in with 2 more lamps with sharp edges and it ripped it up no way to be repaired. then when we got to our new place they were late delivering.. opened up the semi and all our stuff was packed in there upside down sideways and smashed.. we have opened a lot of boxes something broken in every box...I do not recommend this company to anybody for any thing.. read more
