Just stopped in here to look at wedding bands and had a very poor experience. My partner and I have been together for a very long time, but haven't legally tied the knot. We bought my engagement ring here in 2022 and have contemplated where to get our wedding bands from. When I stopped in here last Saturday to have my engagement ring cleaned, a staff member told me they were having out of town designers fly in this weekend for a big sale and to come back and have drinks and hors d'oeuvres. We both work Monday-Friday and were already busy on Saturday, so I asked if they would be open on Sunday for the event. She said they would be open 12-5. We decided we would get brunch in Castleton and then pop over to look at weddings bands today. The older woman who is always at the front door greeted us and we went to peruse the wedding bands at the back of the store. Not one other employee greeted us, asked if we wanted to look at anything, if we needed help with anything, etc. There was no additional stock or outside designers there today like I was told last week, so I guess they only came in for Friday/Saturday. Which is frustrating since I expressed that we would only be able to come in on Sunday and she didn't mention anything about them not being here today. We looked through all of the wedding bands we have already seen before and had to keep stepping around staff members who were blocking display cases while having personal conversations (not anything to do with jewelry). At one point, several men started yelling and jumping up and down because they had the Colts playing on the TV. Super weird vibes for a jewelry store. The last straw was when a woman who was sitting inside of the wedding bands area, but again never even greeted us, asked another staff member if he wanted something and he came over and sat his soda down on the display case we were actively looking at and then leaned back on it and started blocking it. We promptly decided to leave since we weren't being acknowledged. We previously had a very bad experience with a customer service staff member when we came in to have an antique tanzanite ring resized and appraised that had been gifted to me by my great-grandmother. My 22 year old college student went in to get an engagement ring. Somehow, he was convinced to spend $20,000 on a ring when he didn't even have a job lined up. We have bought numerous things weddings rings (his and hers) necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc. One of the bracelets broke and we took it to get fixed "under warranty" we thought. We went to pick it up and it was $369.15. after they had it for 2 months. Fast forward 6 months, the same bracelet and then the ring breaks, we go back, and Alex offers us, 3 options: 1. to spend 2 times as much as it cost to get something new. 2. He will give us a little over half of what we bought it for or 3. We can turn it into our insurance. So I'm not really sure where a warranty comes into play here or what I am supposed to do with 2 pieces of broken jewelry I can't do anything with now. read more

She really listened to my wants and didn't try to over-sale me more than what I wanted. There are treats like candy, cookies, whine everywhere to give you a great experience! Come in ready to spend a while there, you most likely will build your ring from scratch rather than walking out with a ring from the display box. The benefit here is you can listen to all the options for clarity, cut, style and so on and decide exactly what you want instead of having limited options to choose from. My journey started in November, 2016 when my mom and I walked-in hoping to find 1 wedding band that I would love, but luckily for me (unluckily for my now husband) I found 2! Kristin "Kris" Cassady was my (awesome) saleswoman and as a team, we came up with a beautiful, stackable-look that was 1000% what I was hoping for. I got married in April, 2017 and that is when I started wearing my engagement ring and 2 wedding bands daily. In the sample sizes, I loved how the combination looked, in my size, on my chubby fingers and considering that I chose 1 bezel set eternity ring and 1 pronged eternity band I didn't love the look as much. The bezel set ring that I wore in the middle sat lower than my pronged engagement ring and the other (pronged) wedding band so it appeared lackluster, which was not my vision. Back to the drawing board! I returned to Diamonds Direct asking for possible suggestions. Almost 2 years ago, my now fiancé and I went to Diamonds Direct just to get an idea of what we could afford and what we were wanting. Recently, my fiancé decided to return to make that big purchase. He really enjoyed the overall service at Diamonds Direct. He had used an existing family band, but needed to update the stone and the head that supports it. During that process, they offered to place the original stone in a pendant of my preferred finish, free of charge! This was an incredibly sweet gesture and I'm equally as excited to wear both the necklace and the engagement ring. My fiancé even was offered watch battery replacements for two of his watches free of charge. The only thing he wanted to make note, that the consultant Grace, who is no longer working there, pressured him into purchasing the wedding band. Since the engagement band is older and didn't come from this store, there wasn't a matching set or anything to warrant buying the wedding band that day. She did talk him into buying a rose gold band, even though the engagement ring itself was gold. Luckily, once he told me, we talked about it and he able to return it with no issues. Customer service is friendly but they could not size my wedding band correctly after two attempts and would not let me just return it, instead just offered store credit when I had to purchase a different ring because of how long it took them to resize twice. I don't understand the low ratings and negative comments, but the common theme is all of the reviewers have very few reviews on yelp. My suggestion would be to call and talk to the store manager, David, or Megan with your concerns so they can address it directly. Independently appraised our rings are worth about 30% more than what we paid. A true value for our money. Most jewelry stores offer drinks to their customers. DD has soda and water along with alcoholic beverages. I have never felt overwhelmed by the offerings of drinks or felt like they were trying to push alcohol on me. Due to the high volume of people which visit on weekends, I can see how you would be offered something several times. The Bae and I dropped in on a Friday evening to get the ball rolling on engagement ring shopping. This was our first stop on the ring shopping route, and we chose it after hearing rave reviews from friends who got their engagement rings here. She gave us a great Diamonds 101 on what to look for in a diamond and what to look for in a Diamonds Direct diamond. I got the impression she had done this for a while because she never faltered and we never felt pushed to buy right then and there. It felt honest and genuine. Tracie took us around to a few different collections and had me try on styles. I can't say I didn't have heart eyes at a few of them, and I definitely fell in love with a specific style. Tracie made note of that, as well as my finger size, on her records for when Bae comes back for the real thing. After narrowing down the styles, Tracie showed us different diamonds and had us guess what each stone's 4 Cs were, which was a great way to see in person the differences. To put that into perspective, we went to Other Jeweler and no Rapaport was seen.
