I went to Diamonds East International as I had heard that they had a certain Rolex Datejust President Platinum at a price that interested me. The clerks were all busy but I was given a warm greeting and offered a sofa seat. Later they came over to me and asked what I might be looking for. Then instead of me having to get up and go over to the counter, they graciously brought the watches over to me where I was seated. Unfortunately none of the watches interested me and the Rolex Datejust President Platinum watch turned out be a small version meant for women. Hence, with me being such a "butch hunk" of a guy, it just wouldn't go well. As an aside I found Diamonds East International and their helpful knowledgeable staff to be top of the line in jewelry. I should have given this place 5 stars 3 years ago when I first went there. I been an occasional customer and every time I go the experience is first class. I bought a Rolex, diamond earnings on another occasion and had a separate Rolex serviced. All fist class experiences. Robert and Robert are terrific. They take their time and guide you in the right direction with their years of knowledge and expertise. I recently went and had a watch bracelet worked on and Robert did the work for free! I cannot say enough good things about Rob and the people at Diamonds East International. My wife wanted to sell her Cartier watch and I was tasked to sell it. I went to 3 places before visiting Diamonds East. The first place was Prospyr. I spent at least 30 minutes waiting for an appraisal. They called their watch expert, measured the diamonds etc. Finally, the offer was too low to consider and I left to go to Jewels in Time. There I spoke with Alex who took the watch and came back 5 minutes later saying that he was not interested as he already had 6 watches like this one. Next I went to Diamonds by Raymond Lee. The best thing I can say about this place is that they have super chargers for Tesla and other EVs, enough said. Finally, I went to Diamonds East where I presented the watch to Rob, and 5 minutes later he came out with a fair payment. They are honest and fair and I cannot recommend them enough. They also have a wonderful collection of Rolex and Patek watches with the best prices anywhere. Don't waste your time going anywhere else for buying or selling high end watches. These guys are great! I had been looking for a specific watch (Rolex Explorer 1) for quite some time but couldn't find the right deal. I am based in San Francisco Francisco and one of the very popular, trusted and highly respected watch dealers here was working on tracking it down for me - but months had passed and prices had increased without the watch being acquired. I started to look online (which I had heard some horror stories about, so was reluctant) but came across DEI. For context, I'm not someone who even buys a $100 item of clothing without trying it on first at the store, so you can imagine I'm very averse to paying several thousands of dollars for a watch that I haven't inspected myself. In addition, I'm very meticulous and pay close attention to details, so I was not optimistic of being convinced by pictures or a voice over the phone... HOWEVER, I called and spoke with Shai -- his authenticity was evident and he truly went above and beyond to help a stranger over the phone feel comfortable. I was pretty shocked, but grateful, and felt comfortable to make the purchase after he sent over several pictures of the watch. I told him I'd get back to him shortly. I then thoroughly vetted DEI and read every single review online and concluded that they score top marks.
