Finally had a chance to get a facial from Diana. I was so happy for her when she open her own shop and will now follow her there. She is a master at her craft and she truly care about your skin. She is very knowledgeable about skin care and her massage is lovely. Her facial left me glowing and feeling so cleaned! Luckily, there was limited extraction (face didn't break out much) and the face massage was so soothing. I always get great quality nap while the mask is drying. I felt like a new woman after getting her treatment. I trust her completely with my skin care as she is amazing. I always tell people, why settle for less-skilled or average esthetician when I can get the master esthetician who is knowledgeable and actually care about your skin (rather than just make profit?). Her prices are decent/affordable and she have all new machines/tools to work on you. Only thing was that her bed isn't the most comfortable but good enough... she did apologize for it.. but it is a new shop and she did spent most on best product brands and machines. I'm sure she'll upgrade the beds in the future. I opened an account with her and look forward in returning. Her shop is spacious and clean. Located on the second floor. The front area also have a consultation area. She offers scalp head wash/massage service in addition to her facials, massages and other services too! So, if you can't make it out to that Queens's scalp wash place, come to Diana... she does head massage even better than that shop. She take cash, credit card and zelle/vemo. Her staff are all friendly and have various expertise in different categories (facial, body massage, scalp/hair wash, etc). You usually always want the best of the best in whatever category treatment service you select. And Diana, is also knowledgeable about ovarian/pregnancy massage care... some spa places, the ladies are scared to touch you in case it causes stress to the body/baby. She knows the right touch pressure and what to do so you can have a relaxing service. Highly recommend!

We made an appointment so we did a couple facial spa but I'm giving this off the experience cause it was very relaxing but I swear I feel like it didn't do anything as of getting a facial for $90 the blackhead removal hurt the most but like I said I went because of the viral videos but it's not really for ppl of color but will do the massage cuz that looked good

Overall rating: 1.0 Price: $60 w/ tip Um.. this place gave me serious scars after. I was debating to write a review because it is a small business. But at the same time I had such a terrible experience. I went to get the xx and I asked the receptionist via text if they do extractions in the package. She said yes. So when my facial was about to end even though it started 20 minutes late, I was surprised it didn't happen. When the owner came by to help clear up, she said it isn't included. I showed her the text and said it was a mistake but that she'll do it this time. Well she did it on my DRY skin, didn't prep my face at all & literally kept saying "you'll have to pay next time" over and over again. Like it was your receptionist that said it. Maybe train them better. She also proceeded to do it very rough like this was my fault. I was literally in tears multiple times. And she didn't care. It was so painful. I left with soo much scarring and my face was inflated. I literally felt like shrek. I was so ugly. I had to put an ice pack on my face for the next 24 hours just to bring the swelling down. I literally didn't think I was going to look normal again. It was terrible. And then even after all of that- they had the audacity to text me to schedule my next appointment. Like are you serious? Please block my number. That was a terrible experience. Do not recommend.

My attention was drawn to this spa after a viral video boasting about the $49 hour long bojin facial with Diana. I wanted to support local businesses and so it pains me to write a less than stellar review. If you have sensitive skin, I would recommend thinking twice. It was worth a try but I won't be back. Nothing went "wrong" so to speak but if you're accustomed to a certain way of facials then this place won't be it either. If you've never really had a facial so you don't have expectations then give it a try. Making the appointment was painless - I texted a phone number and secured an appt on a weekday morning. I had no idea what to expect other than the viral video. I didn't search up yelp reviews, I should have so I could prepare myself for what to expect. The elevator opens up to the second floor which has about 3 service rooms and 2 beds in the room. The room is shared, unfortunately. Although I arrived early (second customer) they wouldn't let me be in the other room on my own unless I agreed to a shorter service. why? beats me, she cited something about electricity but the lights weren't even on in the room I received the treatment. The room is split by a privacy curtain. They try to upsell you before you begin the process. I could choose between bojin which is a facial sculpting massage or a facial where there is cleansing and extractions done. I opted for the bojin treatment or facial massage as she described. Once in the room, it was not relaxing at all. A previous reviewer mentioned the door being kept open and it being loud. They did close the door which helped. But you can still hear the noise from the muffled conversations outside. I also heard random engine sounds like a motorcycle but perhaps it was the radiator. It was not once or twice, it was fairly continuous. They had "spa-like" music but it was not enough to drown out the other noise. Then don't forget it's a shared room so you are subjected to whatever conversations the other person is having with their technician. Lucky me, the customer did not stop speaking so although I had no idea what was being discussed, it was not relaxing. When I do facials, I prefer my technicians to be masked since they're often hovering over my face. Mine wasn't but I also didn't request her to be, so maybe my fault. My technician was pleasant, she didn't disturb me and was gentle when I asked her to go lighter on the handiwork. When she first started with some sort of cleansing oil, it had a minty tingle to it and I was already beginning to worry. What brand is the product? What's being put on my face? Then she transitioned to a tool that she used for the facial which was not painful, but it was certainly not enjoyable. Perhaps it was the pressure, I don't know. It was like something annoying poking and prodding. Then all of a sudden I felt hot stones rubbed along / on my face. I think I smelled the charcoal smell of it too. I suddenly questioned in my head, what did I sign up for. It finished with a "mask" which did not smell good. It was like old cucumber or zucchini smell but in the form of some fabric draped along my face. At this point I just wanted out but I was trapped. Finally she removed it after maybe 10 minutes and my face was free. While my face felt refreshed, they made a comment and explained my face is relatively red. And it's red because of all the "heat" being released internally... so I paid and went to the bathroom. I looked like a clown, or like I just ran a marathon. Fingers crossed my face cools off in the cold outside, which it did. Thankfully. I also did notice my skin was softer but it was short lived.

So glad I came in to this amazing spa. I got the full body massage. My sister got the ovarian care. Both were very extremely relaxing. Great experience all around the spa is very cute in the middle of Chinatown. Second floor so you also get a nice view. They offer head massage which I can't wait till try next time I'm in town. Super good prices!

Love it Such an amazing face massage for the price. The environment is relaxing and clean. Go go go

The products they use don't have a strong fragrance -- every detail was perfect. They do give product recommendations after the service but there's no pressure and it doesn't feel sales-y or uncomfortable the way it can at other salons. Highly recommend my facialist Amy!

I stumbled upon Karine Kazarian because of the Biologique Recherche line of products they offer. Although there hasn't been an issue with my current esthecian, I wanted to try a facial in New York along with the line of products. She listened to my concerns and customized the deep cleansing facial for my skin. I was left with hydrated and clean skin. Recently, I saw Sasha for the same deep cleansing facial as I was in desperate need of extractions. She took care of me and was gentle throughout the entire process. Some estheticians have been incredible (shoutout Aiza) and some haven't been as good. After my last few visits, I've been disappointed in the depth of the facials I've received and haven't felt that I've been getting my money's worth. The services are expensive (even for NYC) at $300+ with tip. After getting a cyst on my eyelid following my most recent facial, I think it's time for me to find another place for my facials in the city. I told the injector that I liked what I had before, but she decided to add whatever she wanted without asking me. I confirmed with someone who answered the phone that the injector did indeed add units that did that. Again... without asking me if it was ok. However, I already know from experience that once they inject it the only thing that works is letting it wear off and I have to have severe eye strain for 3 months. The injector was also very careless and I bruised like never before. She even just felt sloppy and inexperienced. I'll never go back again. Nothing like the feeling of waking up with eye strain when your eyes should be relaxed! And the shape of my eyes is so terrible and embarrassing.

My review highlights an unethical practice that's unfortunately widespread in the city. I typically get Botox treatments at Body Factory, and while the nurses are generally skilled and the facilities (I've been to all three locations) are clean and well-maintained, the issue lies with their tipping policy. Medical professionals, including nurse practitioners and registered nurses, are prohibited from soliciting or accepting tips. Their professional code of conduct clearly forbids this. Let me repeat this: MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, INCLUDING NURSES, ARE EXPLICITLY PROHIBITED FROM SOLICITING OR RECEIVING TIPS. THERE IS NO GREY AREA HERE. ACCEPTING TIPS IS UNETHICAL FOR THESE PROFESSIONALS. However, every time I go to pay, I'm put in an uncomfortable position. The staff at the register either directly asks for a tip or presents the credit card machine with a tipping option, treating it as if it's standard practice. This behavior is wrong, unethical, and embarrassing on purpose. Treatments here are already expensive, often costing me close to or over $500. Yet, they still have the audacity to suggest a 20%/30% tip -- that's an additional and unethical $100 or more they take. This practice is wrong and unethical, and again, tips should not be requested, given, suggested, or even accepted if offered. While customers technically have the option to decline, the correct approach would be never to request a tip, never mention it, and not include it as an option in the payment process. Putting clients in an uncomfortable position is NEVER the answer. Please learn and remove the tipping option from your credit card payments.

From the decor flown in from…read moreParis, to the original artwork on the walls that inspired the artistry on the perfume bottles, the attention to detail is phenomenal. Drop in for some tea or champagne or an event where you might receive a shoulder massage while learning about self care. In French there is a special word for self care in personal cosmetic application, "soin de beauté"- literally meaning beauty care (sounds better in French right?). The entire concept behind the products and the experience in store is centered around this idea of "self care" - a better translation. First- the products. Every product I have tried and used has proven results. Yes, the products are at a higher price point. However, they are worth every penny. Think about how much you spend at Sephora on the "next best item". Throw them out. One item is all you need all year at Sisley for each part of your beauty regimen. Each product is specially formulated to give specific results to aid your skin in healing itself. Every product is plant based. Every product is the result of years of research. Why such attention to detail? Because Sisley is independent. It is family owned. Almost every other product on the market is owned by about 3 or 4 large cosmetic conglomerates ( even La Mer), who are publicly traded and must answer to shareholders. What does that mean for your skin? Products that are diluted or changed for a larger profit margin to create quick fix "results" that aren't healthy for your skin in order to roll out the next product for the next quarter earnings. Enough about finance - the fact that it is family owned means that each product is the result of craftsmanship - something that resonates throughout the entire experience. Bottom line- these products deliver results. How many eye creams have you purchased in the last year? Think about that. It makes economic sense to invest in one that *works* rather than trying 3-4 that don't. Second- this boutique does not push products. The "vendeuses " (sales people) and the makeup artists carefully assist in curating a skin care (or makeup) regime that works for your skin's needs and your budget. They give out copious samples so you can see results before you buy. They truly want you to be happy with your skin and work with you to give you glowing skin one product at a time in a way that is healthy and makes sense for your skin. They provide facials as well and Danielle, my esthetician has taken care of my skin for years now. I cannot express enough how much care she gives to each facial and how amazing it is to have someone "follow" your skin's needs and help with products or pro-tips on how best to take care of your skin. Do I recommend this boutique? Yes, a million times over; the products are the best in the business, the team is gracious beyond compare and the entire experience at the gorgeous boutique is unparalleled in the city. My skin is GLOWING and I regularly receive compliments. Drop by- you won't be disappointed.
