My mobile order was ready as scheduled. The cashier was polite and friendly. My sub was fresh and delicious. There is plenty of booths inside. A beautiful made to order counter and the menu is posted in large frames above. This location caters and delivers. They also have a fountain drink station with soda and tea.

This is the sub I miss when I'm not in Rochester. Some places do just a sub..quick...cheap...bad bread... DiBella's is a cut above everyone. The place inside is spotless. Sub variety is excellent. Bread is baking as you go in the door! I decided on the 7 inch roast beef on an everything roll. The bread is fresh and toasted, close to a hard roll you get kielbasa on. Pepper jack cheese, mayo, lettuce, onions, banana peppers, pickle chips, black olives and cukes. Fresh is the name of the game with toppings. Cut in half, and I decide on Miss Vickie's Original Chips. No soda, just water for me. I grab a seat and fill the water glass. The sandwich is tip top as expected. Realize the 7 inch will fill you up. Anything bigger bring the appetite. or share with a buddy. Or Bring another person and swap halves. Generous toppings, just the right amount of mayo and crunch with the bread. I'm in heaven. It's a tradition to stop at DiBella's when I'm in Rochester. This location is a short walk to Costco.

Dibellas was a new experience for my family as we don't have this chain in central PA. We were visiting with a hockey team so we needed a quick option that wasn't your traditional fast food. The restaurant had unique feel and reminded me of a NYC subway tunnel with it's tile work. I liked the interior and the booths. They weren't too busy and they took a while to push out our orders (+10 minutes) but we had a large party. There's plenty of choices from hot to cold subs. They promote their freshed baked bread, with several options, and I thought it was delicious. Subs come fairly packed with meats and other accompaniments. Our party ordered a variety of 10" subs and I got the "godfather", which was an italian. Pricing for a 10", with chips and a drink, is around $15/ea. I feel this is a little high but the quality is much better than some other chains. We also grabbed a few cookies which were in-house baked and delicious. It's a small chain sub shop but I thought it was great!

I ordered a godfather 10 in. I got salami and turkey. not what I ordered. I would not come here again. They normally don't mess up. Genuinely surprised.

I came in for the first time for lunch with my family. I was surprised by how spacious the inside was. I ordered an Italian assorted 5" sub which is, Genoa salami and capicola. I added pickles, tomatoes, onions, black olives, and mayo. I also got a cup of baked potato soup, which came with a side of garlic bread. The service here was super fast which we appreciated during a busy lunch hour. I was surprised by how delicious these subs were! They held up well to Wegman's subs, which are my favorite. I also really liked the soup. It had a milder cheese flavor than other baked potato soups I have had, which I actually enjoyed. Overall, we had a wonderful lunch, and we plan to come back again soon!

Average DiBella's very nice and new inside with an old fashioned feel. You can not see your sub being made so no make as you go like others. There are no wraps here as many people think

What's left from BLT & Potato Salad

I came for a quick lunch while working near the area. I remember some years ago coming here with a bunch of fellow conference attendants for after meeting meal. It was very good. I returned two days ago and yes, there was a number of people working behind the counter in what seemed large take out orders. None of them looked up at me. Suddenly, a young man came and told me "I can take your order. BLT 7" light Mayo, substitute lettuce for spinach, Tomato, Sesame Bread. I got a Ginger Ale and side of potato salad. It was a good meal, but a little pricey.

A sub with see thru meat.

The turkey ham sub was just that. Stale bread and a dry sub. No mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato etc. Needed a magnifying glass to find the meat!! Oh and with delivery $22

10" Turkey sub on sesame. Bread was perfection and the ingredients were solid too. Yum!

I haven't had a sub from DiBella's in a longggg time (I usually go to Wegmans) but the sub I got really hit the spot. Little different of a process as you grab a number and then the person behind the counter fills out the order form for you. Once your done with that, you tell the cashier what you got and then wait at the end for your number to be called. I feel like the bread and Turkey were just so much better than wegmans. It may be the same ingredients, I have no idea... but it definitely tasted better here. This was a nice place to stop after a shopping trip at Costco so I'll definitely be back!

This place was actually insane gotta b the best BLT I ever had Nah the bread was actually crazy and so was the hot peppers. This is real life sandwich. Look how raw the color s are on this. Yall gotta go

Really good buffalo chicken spring mix salad
    Lexy M.

Amazing salads! Always super fresh and crisp spring mix and Romaine! You can make any small sub a salad! I always get the buffalo chicken on spring with just cheddar and extra ranch. It's phenomenal. I'm only giving them 3 stars because even though they charge you extra ranch you don't always get much if any. I ALWAYS have to double check and 9 times out of 10 have to ask for a packet. Really good potato salad :)

But each visit is worse than the next. I really hope they take this review as a much needed pull up. Because it actually pains me to leave a 3 star review for my own country people. It really makes me sad that this place is so overrated. Probably due to their local following, which I completely respect. I do not respect the way the employees run the place. They need to pay attention. Just because a lot of people are no longer shopping big corporations doesn't mean we are going to accept the same treatment from our own community business. It's a shame really, It's a great set up, and they have most of what every Italian needs in their life. Packed into an easily accessible area. The layout is very smart. That what keeps me popping in from time to time to see what has changed. Parking is tricky only because they stay super busy. Which usually is a good thing. But as an Italian, and Rochester outsider, who has lived in many Italian communities, this is the dirtiest community grocery store and deli I've been in. They have a few employees that are lazy and rude, and the good employees are the ones taking up all the slack and working hard. Which seems disrespectful to the staff that works hard. The hot foods are hit or miss. sometimes awesome! depends on what time of day you go, and you want to go early to try and beat the flies. The amount of flies in that place is disgusting. I understand all kitchens will get a few. My family owns a restaurant, so I'm not just talking just as an Italian, but one who has worked in Kitchens themselves. A dirty Kitchen and flies are the worst turnoff. Also, it is a problem they could easily remedy. It is not because they stay so busy, they don't have time to clean. It's certain employees that are holding this place back. They really should clean house. I know my Nonni, would never. On this particular day for this review, my BF wanted to go. I reminded him of how dirty it was last time. Being the loyal local he is, he said, I've just been unlucky. So we went. He ordered the meatball dinner, and it looked hot and delicious. He was definitely looking forward to it. I was 2nd and last person in line to order from the deli. As I was waiting more people started coming in. The line suddenly was more than 10 people deep. That's when I noticed the person in front of me, had not been helped. We all had been standing there for 10 min. Next to me was the hot foods counter. There was a woman and a man, standing there having a casual conversation. The whole line heard it. Nothing to do with work. Meanwhile, there was a young girl there running around like a maniac trying to clean her work station, to help people. I waited a few more minutes, then I noticed someone else behind the sub counter just standing there. I left my BF in my line, and very politely asked the girl if they had any other employees that could help us, and showed her the line. She was smiling and was about to say something, when the woman who had been talking with the gray haired man behind the counter, ran over and interrupted. She had such an attitude. She instantly said, I work that section, and since you got out of line, you have to go to the back of the line. I was shocked and dumfounded! But not having that attitude. I said, excuse me, my BF is in line with me, and please do not speak to me this way. The nice girl piped up, and just said. I understand, what can we get for you? The mean woman who was about my age, with brown hair, then said, ok what do you want? With that NY crazy roll your eyes attitude. I said, "nothing, I do not give money to people who disrespect me or their customers. Now my BF has gotten out of line, and is standing next to me, wanting to know what's going on. The disrespectful woman was still there and growing impatient due to the conversation. Yah, She has no problem making us wait, but when she is waiting on us, suddenly it's a problem. I said right in front of this woman, "I decided not to eat here, because this woman is rude, and I do not trust her, not to mess with my sub, so I'm not ordering. The woman suddenly, became nice, to my BF. Male centered woman on board. My hmmm isn't into that centering BS. She very nicely said. I'm trying to take this ladies order. My BF put his food down on the counter in front of her, and simply said, I do not want my food either then and we walked out. My suggestion would be to clean up the place, retrain employees, and get some authentic Italians in there to help. I didn't take pics of the problem employees, because if the owner wants to know who they are, he can reach out. They do not need to be on blast, for being consistently rude, because this was not the first time, and it's always the same people. They know who they are.
