I came here twice in the same week. I do hot yoga down the road and this place is perfect for what I crave after class. Lots of fresh, delicious, healthy food. I agree with a couple other people that it is pricey for a salad, but you get what you pay for, well worth it. I notice a lot of places use mostly greens to fill up an entree sized salad. Diced gives you your greens of choice, but also lots and lots of options and portions for other fillers. As a former vegetarian I really enjoy tofu, but idk if I will try it here, pricing it at $3 along with the meats seems excessive. read more

HUGE selection of salad ingredients. Pick one of their salads or build your own. Clean place...sanitation grade 100.0....I love that so keep it up. Love how they collect your ingredients then dump it on the cutting board and chop it. Makes it easy to eat and everything's mixed together. I will be back...sooner rather than later. It has a format similar to Chipotle, but for salads. I also find their process interesting: after all your ingredients get added to a bowl, they add dressing, toss it, then pour it on a cutting board and chop it into smaller pieces, then scoop it into your serving bowl. Also think of Coldstone Creamery but for salads. Which makes great sense when you start eating it, as everything is a size that you can get on your fork without making a stuffing-into-your-mouth-because-it's-too-big-to-fit-but-too-hard-to-cut motion. A bit pricey to pay $10 for a salad, but the one I chose from the menu was quite good: a Southwest Crunch with the Chipotle Ranch dressing, and added some steak. I'd recommend it. read more

Just visited this place for the first time and I'm pretty happy I found this place. I placed my order online but when I went to pick up I immediately noticed how clean and fresh the ingredients looks. Freshness is KEY with salad places. I ordered their power salad with quinoa, tomatoes, green onions, and avocado. I added chicken as well. The chicken was good, not that rubbery kind you can find at places like subway. Overall, the freshness and quality of the ingredients won me over. Wish there was a downtown Raleigh location so I can regularly get my fix during lunch time! read more

Nice little wrap shop we just discovered! Supposedly locally sourced ingredients, antibiotics/hormone-free proteins, etc. Prices are a bit on the steep side, however it reflects the quality. Ingredient selection is insane! Staff were very polite, when we told them it was our first visit, they were very helpful guiding us through the process/menu. I decided to try the Southwestern Crunch (with chicken & chipotle ranch) as a wrap (whole grain) and it ended up being a very large wrap and was very delicious! They basically pile everything in a bowl, chop it up into an oblivion, and then roll it up in a wrap - a concept I love as it basically gives you a bit of every ingredient in every bite. I won't be back! I use to love this place and have introduced many to this location. The last couple of times my entire salary was made up of lettuce and very minimal toppings. For the amount of money the salad I expect more toppings then what was received. I do think it's funny that you went from a larger cup to a smaller cup when it comes to sidings. read more

The salads are great and it's great they stay open till 9 however they are consistently out of Romaine lettuce lately which is not good for a salad place and when they are right next to a Trader Joe's. Go get some lettuce already It's hard to process a salad place being out of the most popular lettuce repeatedly . So why make a trip to eat there if this is the case. Or offer a discount because it's an awesome inconvenience to the customer. I mean it's a salad place so you can't be out of lettuce. The staff laughs it off. Oh well. We decided to stop by Diced and give it a try after seeing that it had opened up recently. With the exception of going to a grocery store, there are very few casual dining restaurants around that target the salad and wrap niche. Once we went in and looked at the menu we realized that there was something for everyone. We were impressed with the selection and variety on the menu as well as the 'create your own' option. The food was fresh and the portion size was very good-much better than say Panera. The staff was friendly and the layout of the dining area was really nice (there's even a couch if you like). The prices were comparable to similar restaurants and if you want to add in options to your salad then you will pay a little extra ,but if you don't want the options then you don't have to pay for them. read more

Kind of disappointed with DICED. This place was pretty "meh" compared to its counterpart restaurant, Chopt. Diced is slightly more expensive with significantly less options. The DICED bowls are the same size, but they're filled only 3/4 as full- which did leave me hungry after eating my salad. There were 4-5 team members working- but only one was up front assisting customers- a few more people walked in behind me, but no one was in a hurry to greet them or take an order. I ordered he southwest salad- it was decent, the dressing choice (chipotle lime) was tasty, but nothing too exciting ingredient wise. They don't promote local ingredients as much as I would have hoped- and everything was pretty blasé... I wanted to give this place a try, because I had heard it was comparable to other salad places around, but it falls short of its competitors and still leaves you hungry. Successful businesses know great customer service is half if not more of the equation. I would recommend the owner observe her staff in action periodically. As a starting point, our experience today included no greeting or acknowledgement when we walked in and the store was literally empty. There were 3 salad makers on hand. Their questions about our order expressed zero enthusiasm or any remote hint they care about customers. Everyone was rude. No smiles, no 'have a nice day' = no coming back. My co-worker and I went here for lunch today, and we had a pretty poor experience. Something that we did not like about the atmosphere (which many people may enjoy), is the whole assembly line situation/different employees at each step. We felt sort of rushed, and there were a lot of choices. Of all the things they had, they didn't have cilantro, which I found really odd. When I got my price at the register, I was astonished. It was just over $14 for a salad and a fountain drink. I got one of their menu salads with chicken instead of steak, so you'd think that at least a dollar would be knocked off for a lower priced meat. My co-worker got a wrap instead of a salad, which was somehow priced the exact same for significantly smaller quantities. She disliked her wrap itself, so she unwrapped it and tried to eat the inside contents. When we saw how much less was in her wrap than in my salad, we were baffled at the prices! Hers was even more ridiculously priced. We thought the chicken quality was terrible. They were little cold cubed pieces of chicken (and there was hardly any of it added). My co-worker didn't even finish half of her food before throwing it out. I ate nearly my entire salad and thought it was mediocre. When we got back to our office we felt sick, in the exact same way. We have no idea how a salad could make us feel sick, but we definitely both felt an acidity in our stomachs (not heartburn). I understand that in order to run a business you need to make a profit. $11 for a salad, without a waitress even being involved, is absolutely ridiculous. There were also far too many employees for a simple salad assembly. That would be a great place to cut costs in order to lower prices while still making a profit. Strangely, I am willing to pay $14 for a gourmet salad/fountain drink. This place, however, does not offer gourmet salads. We won't be back. read more

My sister and I really enjoy diced. We have been customers since the first day it was opened and the staff is always helpful and friendly. They only use fresh produce ingredients and have a nice variety ingredients. The only thing I would like to see is more shrimp on my salad. I get my salad with shrimp and I always only get four pieces which are then diced but I don't believe that's enough for the price. I sorely miss our local Sweet Tomatoes since they closed, so I have been on the hunt for another awesome salad place. My son invited me to join him here. The restaurant was clean and the employees were nice enough. The veggies and meats looked fresh and delicious. The serving size for the salad was large enough...BUT I was REALLY turned off by how finely they chop the salad. I was so excited when I saw them gathering the ingredients in the bowl, but when I actually received my salad it was so unappealing. All the ingredients are diced into centimeter or smaller size pieces. It kind of destroys the beauty of eating a salad in my opinion, and was a bit repulsive to me, kind of like it had already been chewed some. If that isn't a factor for you, then you would probably like this place. It tasted good enough, but not better than anything I put together at home and the price tag was a whopping $10. Would not recommend. Ordered a wrap online with a pick up time of 5:15 and received an email confirming this. Several minutes later received another email with a pick up time of 5:45. This was obviously annoying because I had already paid and needed to pick up before that time, so I called to ask what time I could actually pick up the order... and they said it was already ready (at this point it was 4:50, so I guess my order would have been sitting around for an hour if I went by the time that was emailed). The wrap was supposed to be buffalo chicken with lettuce, corn, tomatoes, and tortilla chips. They did not include any buffalo sauce at all (or the tortilla chips), so it was just plain chicken with no dressing... obviously not good. I am fine with paying a premium price, which this place does charge, if the food and service are great. This place does not deliver in either of those areas. read more

Tonight was our 2nd visit here. We went when they first opened snd were still trying to work out the kinks. Well they sure figured ur out! The staff are amazing! We got there right at 730pm snd then at least 5 others arrived right behind us. They close at 8 but thus did not faze they! They were quick, friendly and even offered suggestions. My husband and I got one Southwest Crunch salad (avocado, shredded cheddar, black beans, corn, tomato, onion & tortilla strips with our Chipotle Ranch or Cilantro Lime). We could gave all types of greens or just like one or two - we wanted it all! And we were offered both types of dressings and she gave us both to try - two to cup servings each. The woman who waited in us was so personable all the while working on our salad! Very fast! Now the good part - we got home and gobbled up the salad. It was so great! We did not even have chicken. I just moved to Cary and I was really excited about a fresh healthy salad option. We ordered takeout for dinner. My salad may have been healthy but it was not at all fresh. I usually do not write bad reviews however the lettuce was not crisp and really soggy for me and my wife. I added chicken with my salad and there was practically none in my bowl of mush. So I absolutely love Diced. This particular location at Parkside Commons leaves much to be desired.Parkside Commons salads do not even cover the bowl. If I am paying 12 bucks for a salad or even 8 bucks for a salad I want my bowl to be full of salad. I go to this location since its closest to my job at lunch but I think today was my last trip to these people. They do not always have the friendliest customer service as the other locations do, they half chop your salad. and again the price vs amount is not what it should be and for that reason I am only given that location 2 stars. There is one individual in there depending on who you are he will not even speak when you enter the building. I would rather go to Harris Teeter right next door and make my own salad, at least I will know I'm getting my monies worth. I will just have to get my Diced fill when I get back to Raleigh or stop by the other Cary location because this one sucks! read more

I have to be very careful about what I eat because of allergies and most places give me a quizzical, "Ummm...let me check." or "I don't think so??" when I ask about certain ingredients. I tried Diced Gourmet for the first time today. The place is very clean and had a nice atmosphere. A friendly guy behind the counter greeted me and explained their menu. I also, spoke to the owner Michelle who was also very friendly. There was a nice variety of preselected salads or wraps to choose from or if you want you can build your own and the prices are reasonable. The best thing about this place is all the food is fresh and prepared in house including the salad dressings. A rarity for most eating places today. I ordered the southwest wrap and it was excellant. Dropped in for the first time at this wonderful little salad and wrap spot on 6/10/2019 and for as many times as I have been to Raleigh/Cary the past four years, I'm kicking myself for not going sooner. The combo grilled meat and vegetable offerings were extremely flavorful, fresh tasting, and prepared with care by a surprisingly attentive and staff who seemed to really care that we would enjoy our first meal here. They carefully explained how the slightly complex menu worked - you order from a recommended variety of salads, bowls or wraps, or make up your own. My wife and I picked the vegan friendly Harvest Crunch salad, which I had in wrap form. The portions were large but mostly because of the secondary vegetable offerings - beats, chickpeas, carrots, etc. Diced did not try to load up the dish with the lettuce/spinich/kale base veggies. Staff recommended dressings, which were not too heavy and did not overwhelm the bursting flavor of the ingredients. The wrap itself was large but easily contained all the ingredients and the the employee who constructed mine provided a nice toasting on a panini-style heat press that warmed everything slightly. The fresh flavor of the ingredients was not diluted by the toasting process. I have eaten at similar establishments like Cavva, Roti and Sweet Greens, and all often seem to provide a final product where the flavors are dulled and diluted. Diced is the first fast casual salad restaurant where the freshness and flavors sparkle and individually emerge. Whether this is due to the sourcing, preparation or how they are kept in the store, I'm not sure, but I love the result. read more
