I'm a fan of DICED! I've been quite a few times over the last month or so. The food is fresh and there are a lot of options for any kind of diet. I absolutely love how the food is distributed and I think it's a wonderful concept with a bright future. There are two reasons I am not giving it 5 stars though. One being that in order to get a decent amount of food they upcharge you to oblivion. I know quality food comes at a price, but $14-$16 for a bowl of veggies (with no meat) is excessive (which is what I pay most every time I go). The other issue I have is a large majority of the employees (not all). Most of them just stare at you when you walk in. So if you've never been it's quite off putting. Simple training to let employees know to acknowledge customers when they come in and ask if they need help, or even saying hello can go a long way. read more

Ordered a salad with grass fed beef got none. Was only one in when I did. Went back in after sitting outside picking at my salad and realized no beef? Go back in and say I ordered a protein and I have no protein and the man who rung my order says no you didn't pay for a protein! They have vegan brownies that are gluten free and do NOT taste like cardboard!! Amazing! The establishment was clean. The staff is friendly and didn't mind that I was a little indecisive when it came to creating my own salad. Next time I will ask for extra dressing, but overall great experience and decent salad. I have been searching for a build your own salad place and I accidentally came upon Diced. The lettuce and veggie options were all fresh and the store was clean and well appointed. I bought 4 salads from here. Two were ok. The other two were old, and they smelled badly. I ordered a Southwest salad, with added shrimp, and chicken, and they only put one shrimp in my salad, and no chicken at all. The broccoli was old, black, and smelled like a dead animal. The lettuce was soggy, brown, and extremely wet. The chickpeas were dark brown. The salad smelled so bad that it made me sick to my stomach. I called them to tell them about it and they said that they'd reimburse me for them. I will never order from here again. If anyone orders from here, it might be wise to pick it up from them instead of having it delivered because you'll be able to inspect it before you leave. I don't know if they didn't care about what they put in the salads because they were being delivered, or what, but I'd never serve anyone anything that I wouldn't eat. read more

Staff is kind and extremely easy going. Ordered the buffalo chop and it was extremely good. All the vegetables were extremely fresh. Only critique is that buffalo sauce could have been spicier but that's only because I love spicy food. Overall, it's certainly something I would buy again. read more

I ordered the Southwest Crunch salad, which according to their menu comes with: (copy & paste from site) Southwest Crunch fresh avocado, shredded cheddar, black beans, grilled corn, grape tomatoes, red onion & tortilla strips with our Chipotle Ranch or Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette I modified my order to have NO onion, and added tofu. I picked up my order, and gave them a cash tip. When I got home, I had no avocado or cheddar, and very little tofu. It also had a ton of onions. Diced has potential, but is ultimately ruined by its lack of customer service. I have been several times, and have yet to be treated correctly. The staff is rude and seems completely out of it. Also, they definitely do not understand the proper usage of gloves. They repeatedly have used the register and went back to chopping without a change of gloves. read more

I have been to DICED many times and really enjoyed it but never really thought much about it. And then tonight I went down the street to Cameron Village to a similar salad place. That experience was so horrible that I realized how much I love DICED. The salads are really good but more importantly the employees here have always been very friendly and super helpful. I work not too far down the street from Diced, and I've taken to coming here once or twice a week for a healthier lunch. The salads and wrap options are very wide-ranging without being too creative to enjoy. I was even pleasantly surprised recently when I tried a rice bowl option. The service is reasonably fast and attentive, and the staff are helpful in offering new options. The only downside is parking at Oberlin Village, as sometimes it takes me as long to find a parking space as it does to be served! Nonetheless, I'll put up with that challenge as long as everything else stays good and healthy. read more

On this beautiful sunny day I headed for DICED! I had wanted to try this new location, and today I wasn't disappointed! I had a Southwest Crunch salad with romaine & kale and it was yummy!! Daniel helped me with my order and was patient with me and my extra veggie choices. I even mixed two yummy house-made dressings to make the perfect lunch for me! I thought the staff was inviting, and very knowledgeable about the menu choices. I think this is a great place to pop in to when I'm in the Cameron Village area! I'll be back, especially on sunny days, a great place to meet a friend for lunch or grab something quick when I'm working. I went into diced fully expecting a direct competitor to Cameron Village's newest addition, Chopt (which I will also review). Diced is less streamlined, not as shiny, think the PC and Chopt is the Mac. I think that might be alright if the food was just as innovative but at a lower price point. The space is smaller and the salad took longer to prepared. Diced has suggested salads and wraps, though any combo can be made as either. I tried to Cobb from the menu. The employee made it, chopped it, and closed it up without asking for any input. (Important to note here that chopt invites the customer to weigh in on how chopped the salad should be.) Altogether, diced is a more traditional selection of salads and ingredients and heavily reliant on a protein upcharge. For the money, I would rather go to Chopt for a salad I can't make at home. read more

DICED is a cafeteria style buffet wrap/bowl/salad kinda place that is situated off Oberlin in a nice albeit busy shopping center. So yes, prepare thine self for an epic battle for parking. That being said, once you're inside they have a quick service counter where you walk up and place your order and pay as you walk away with your food. The seating is ample and the decor is nice. They reused the kombucha bottles for flowers. Perhaps they just poured the kombucha straight down the sink for the bottles since the best use I've found for it is as a vase but I digress. There's plenty more to drink besides rancid vinegar water so don't worry! They also have chips for a side and even an assortment of (gluten free! vegan! no calorie!) desserts to choose from. The place is always clean and I've always enjoyed my meal. I think the olives are a bit too strong for me but everything else is delicious. Self serve clean up and healthy food. Enjoy! read more

Since this location opened, I've been at least once a week every week, it's addicting!! I've had the southwest crunch salad which is delicious, but the last several times I have ordered the spicy thai in a wrap...it is my favorite meal! It is indeed spicy, and I even get it with no jalapeños. I made that mistake the first time and had trouble finishing it, it was so hot. I'm not a fan of health food or any vegetables but my friend wanted to go. I ordered the wrap with shrimp and quinoa and omg it was good. I mean like i crave it sometimes. It's cool because you move down the line with the person making your wrap so you can substitute or leave out things. It was surprisingly filling. Two complaints though...they don't nearly give enough shrimp. I think i got 5 and this thing must weigh a couple pounds. And the girl that was making mine was completely clueless. She must've been new but Lord it took literally 10 minutes to make my wrap. She seemed very confused but no one was helping her. Definitely will be back though! The wrap was fire! read more

Overpriced, terrible customer service Not the first time I've experienced poor customer service here, but easily the most blatant: Asked if they could make me a "Kalli Cup" in the bowl size. I got a blank stare from the girl behind the counter. Waited a few beats. "Like, could you make that menu item in a larger size?" I said, pointing to the bowl displays they have on the counter. She does not answer, but looks to the guy next to her. He says to me, "It's $1.50 per scoop of quinoa." Now I'm the one with the blank stare. "So what does that mean?" I said. "It means that you would get charged for two more scoops of quinoa." "OK," I said. "So, what's the total price of the meal?" He answers: "The price of the cup plus $3.00." "OK, I can't see the prices from where I am. Could you help me out here?" "Something like $10," he says. They charge me $10 for a "cup" size of veggies plus two over-priced scoop of quinoa (their scoop looks like about 1/4 cup). They also charged me for a tablespoon of cilantro. To their credit, the bowl tasted great, but I'm still hungry and I've just blown my lunch money. Womp womp womp. read more
