I was so hungry by the time this got to my house, that I forgot to take pictures. I grabbed the Greek Fries which I was the most excited for, unfortunately there was nearly nothing on them. They sprinkled a tiny bit of feta, but not enough to taste it. The vinegar on the sides lid was open when I got home so there was not much left to add to the fries. I was hungry, and my build-your-own bowl was loaded with lemon rice, lentils, chicken, keftedes (meatballs) and too many vegetables of my choosing to mention. I chose a scoop of hummus and a scoop of red pepper hummus to complete my bowl. I didn't get the falafel this time, but I always like it. I LOVE Greek food and have tried dozens of places and this is by far my new favorite quick-bite place to go. It's a very similar set up to cava but there are more options and the best part is getting 2 proteins in a bowl or gyro for no extra charge. The portion size was amazing and everything tasted great. There is a large varieties of different toppings. This trip I didn't try any of the desserts but they have baklava and baklava cheesecake a staff member recommended I will be trying next time for sure. I liked the idea in theory but I found the ordering process to be overwhelming as a first time customer. I would probably get the hang of it as a repeat customer but their are a ton of options to pick from. I liked all the things I added to my bowl, especially the spicy hummus (which wasn't spicy as much as flavorful), falafel, and olives. I found the bar behind the gladd where they were prepping food to be a bit messy for such a small crowd. I also found the portions to be a bit small for the price. Other restaurants have a similar set up, however, at FRESKO you can choose 1-2 proteins and 1-2 bases in addition to the toppings, sauces, and extras. The menu is easy to read on the display case and up on the screens behind the line. I decided on the bowl and appreciated the option to choose multiple bases and proteins. The bowl turned out delicious and was made quickly and accurately. The portion and price were reasonable. We ordered takeout, however, they do have indoor and outdoor seating. Went in search of a good gyro. Haven't found one in NC that can compete with what we got in the east side of Milwaukee. Thinking this place as chipotle for Greek food. You can bike your own pitas and bowls. Tried to recreate a traditional gyro. It was tasty but the meat was soaking instead of cut straight off the cone. Greek fries and dolmades were decent.
