Light batter, crispy, and seasoned really well that gave it great flavor. Others in the group ordered a clam chowder bread bowl, chicken Parmesan, fish & chips and shrimp & chips. Super disappointing brunch service this morning. It was at least 40 minutes from the time we ordered to the time our food started showing up and, for whatever reason, our French toast kabob appetizer didn't come out until the rest of our mains. The bigger problem was the Irish Filler. Of the two strips of bacon it came with, one was overcooked to the point of being brittle and hard to chew, while the other was way undercooked so the fat had just barely started to render and had that sort of gross gelatinous texture. On top of that, I had to send it back twice because it was missing the gravy and the corned beef; both of which are standard ingredients included in the base recipe. Our server was very apologetic and was quick to return to the kitchen for the missing ingredients. Unfortunately, when the dish was complete I dug in only to find the entire thing lukewarm to the point that the cheese hadn't even melted over the potatoes in the bottom of the bowl. By that point I just wanted something in my stomach so I just sort of picked at it until I was no longer starving, but I didn't even bother with a box for the leftovers. To be fair, the Top o' the Mornin' omelette and the breakfast burrito with sausage were really good; generous portions and cooked well. But I feel like when your brunch menu only consists of like ten items to begin with, you should probably excel at all ten of those items. Hopefully this was just a one-off and not indicative of their usual quality but with a variety of other local places to choose from, I can't say for certain that I'll be trying my luck here again.
